Housewarming Sex?
I decided we'd skim over my high school black history and call it a day, so I closed the album. There weren't any particularly fun photos in there anyway. Same with middle school.
"Now we're at middle school!"
Man. Come to think of it, middle school was pretty much a black history era too. If I really wanted to dig up something that embarrassing, I'd probably have to go all the way back to kindergarten. At least I was cute back then.
What about elementary school? It'd been so long I couldn't remember clearly, but I had a feeling it wasn't much better.
"Let's see... Hmm."
I left Yoonah flipping diligently through the album and headed to the kitchen, my throat suddenly parched for no reason. I'd picked up some expensive drinks from the department store, and damn, they were surprisingly good. I liked sodas anyway, but this one was on another level. Expensive really is the best.
"Ah, found it!"
"Pfft!"
Her sudden shout caught me off guard mid-sip, and I ended up spraying the drink everywhere.
"You okay? Did you spill it? Oh no, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you by yelling."
"Nah, I'm fine, I'm fine."
I waved off Yoonah as she started coming over with the photo in hand and grabbed a rag to wipe down the table furiously. After mopping it up properly, I headed to my room to change.
"Ugh, what a mess."
Sticky as hell. I'd deliberately put the washing machine out on the balcony connected to my closet anyway. I tossed the old clothes into the pile of laundry, grabbed something comfy, and slipped it on before heading back out.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, all good. No worries."
Acting like nothing happened, I walked over. The album lay open on the table, showing a beaming photo of middle-school me.
"But middle school you looks just like now. Aside from being a bit younger-looking?"
I mean, yeah. Puberty had me wandering all over the place back then, but looking back, I didn't have any major dark periods appearance-wise. No acne, no weight gain. And remembering how much fun I had with my friends... aside from that middle-school syndrome phase where I drove my parents nuts, there wasn't much real black history.
"So cute, Jisoo back then."
"Not cute now?"
I propped my chin on my hand and gave her a cutesy look.
"Pfft! What're you doing?"
"Not cute for real? Even like this?"
This time, I poked her cheek with my finger and stared.
"Heehee, cute. Super cute. You're really cute, my Jisoo."
She reached out and ruffled my hair. Mmm, knew it—I'm cute after all. Satisfied with her reaction, I nodded.
"Okay then, wanna finish the album?"
No real black history in my looks, so checking the rest shouldn't be a big deal. Not that there was much worth seeing. Aside from spotting myself occasionally in group shots or field trip photos, there wasn't much payoff.
"Shall we check out elementary school now?"
Flipping through someone else's album isn't that thrilling, but seeing her enjoy it was nice. Wait, or was it...? Nah, it couldn't be that hanging out with me was boring enough to make a dull album fun. Haha, right?
"You're not bored hanging out with me or anything, are you?"
"Out of nowhere? I'm always having fun with you."
"Phew, good."
Her reassuring words let me exhale in relief, patting my chest.
"Elementary school might be trickier to find."
"You were smaller back then, and probably look more mischievous overall."
Honestly, I hadn't properly looked at my elementary albums much either and had zero interest, so I barely remembered what I looked like.
"Hmm, is this you? Nah. Hmm, this one?"
She'd found middle school pics easily enough, but elementary was stumping her. Fair—I could barely recall which class I was even in. Might not find myself if asked.
"Ah, there you are!"
"Oh? Found me?"
Curious, I leaned in to look.
"So cute! You look like a total rascal!"
True. A tiny troublemaker with a face screaming I wanna pull pranks so bad stared back from the photo. Seeing it stirred up a wave of nostalgic memories.
"I was the class-known prankster and jokester."
"Totally fits. That face says it all. Heehee, too cute. Bet you were popular too."
"Only time I was popular in school."
If I had to pick my peak besides now, it'd hands-down be elementary. No idea why I'd forgotten such a golden era. Girls confessed to me left and right, and I pulled tons of pranks—but they just thought it was cute and liked me anyway.
"Got a bunch of confessions too."
"Ooh~ Kim Jisoo, the heartthrob~"
"Heh, yeah, I was kinda like that."
Still, it was kid stuff, so Yoonah didn't seem jealous or anything. Fair enough.
