The Dog's Life
I’ve become a son of a bitch. Literally. I spent my time frolicking through a field overflowing with fragrant scents, fully savoring the freedom of a four-legged beast. I kept on running. Every time my squishy, pink jelly-bean paw pads pressed into the soft earth, I could feel the pleasant dampness, and the satisfying crunch of an ant being crushed between my toes. Up ahead, my father—a massive brute—acted as the pack leader, while my brothers and sisters trailed behind me. Bringing up the rear was our mother, keeping a watchful eye on our surroundings. That’s right. I am a puppy. And not just any puppy, but one that’s only just learned to walk.
I once enjoyed the life of a modern human on 21st-century Earth, but the moment I woke up after falling asleep, I had reincarnated as a dog in this fantasy world. Ah. Fuck.
"Grrr-ruff..."
It’s truly pathetic that the only words coming out of my mouth are dog barks. Damn it all.
