The Abyss Beckons
The force was pitifully weak. Tez watched the way Sua’s hands pushed against his chest and let out a quiet chuckle. The sight of her hazy eyes struggling to focus on him was almost endearing.
He lowered his head. As his lips brushed the corner of her eye, his gaze drifted toward the center of the sanctuary. He pictured laying her down right there in the middle of the church, taking her completely—imagined her sobbing helplessly beneath him until she finally clung to him in desperation. The thought sent another rush of blood to his already aching cock.
His erection strained visibly against the front of his trousers, thick and massive, throbbing with barely contained rage as if it might tear through the fabric at any moment. The rigid length pressed directly against Sua where their bodies were flush together. Though she had never seen one before, instinct told her exactly what was prodding insistently at her stomach. She flinched and tried to pull away.
“S… stop.”
At her pitiful struggle, he quietly loosened the arm wrapped around her waist. The moment he did, she swayed dangerously, forcing him to catch her again.
“Oh dear. It seems I have no choice.”
Sua’s eyes widened in horror as he lifted her with the ease of someone picking up a doll.
“What if someone sees…!”
“… Sua?”
Her heart plummeted. Sua. There was only one person in this place who called her that. And she knew exactly who it was—Father Vincenzo.
While Sua’s face drained of all color, Tez remained perfectly composed. Still holding her, he turned and walked toward the elderly priest standing at the open sanctuary door.
“Good afternoon, Father.”
“Ah, are you perhaps the gentleman who made that generous donation to the church last time…?”
“Yes, that’s correct.”
“The donation has been put to good use for the church’s funds. However…”
Father Vincenzo’s gaze shifted to Sua, cradled in Tez’s arms.
“F-Father…!”
Before she could continue, Tez smoothly cut in.
“Sister here nearly collapsed. She kept stumbling, so it seemed safer to carry her than simply support her arm.”
Father Vincenzo studied Sua’s face. Her flushed cheeks suggested a fever. Remembering how she had been ill not long ago, the old priest nodded in understanding.
“I see. Thank you for your help.”
“She doesn’t seem steady enough to walk on her own yet. I’ll escort her to the front of the convent, if that’s all right.”
“Then I’ll leave her in your care. May the Lord’s blessings be with you always.”
Tez gave a slight bow in farewell and carried her out of the church. Once they were a good distance away, Sua finally spoke.
“… Put me down.”
“He might still be watching.”
“Even so, put me down.”
“Wouldn’t that look even stranger? You nearly fainted, so I carried you out—only for you to start walking the moment we leave the building.”
Sua bit her lip hard, her already red eyes glistening with fresh tears. The pressure made her lips even redder. Just how far was he planning to test her limits? His sharp eyes flickered with dark amusement.
“Don’t bite.”
She froze, then slowly parted her teeth. The lip he had been sucking on moments ago slipped free with a soft pop. The memory of devouring that same mouth made him swallow down the sudden urge to claim it again. He spoke, voice low.
“When you bite your lip like that, Sister, it makes me want to bite it too.”
She couldn’t refuse him. Every word he spoke sent heat racing through her body. Yet Sua desperately told herself it was only because she had been startled by Father Vincenzo. A pathetic rationalization, but she clung to it.
“If you were to fall in love, would you be able to leave the convent?”
Why did Leroy’s question suddenly echo in her mind now? Love. The word felt like a forbidden curse. There was no way she could love a man she had known for less than a month. She wasn’t even allowed to feel such an emotion.
But every time she saw him, the overwhelming feelings she couldn’t control made it painfully clear—her heart had already been stolen.
She could neither admit it easily nor afford to admit it at all. The moment she acknowledged how he affected her, she would never be able to return to her life as a nun, nor back to Sister Agnes’s side. Sua had never once considered any other path. To her, becoming a nun had always been absolute.
Confusion and anxiety swirled in her eyes. Tez gazed down at them quietly, the corner of his mouth curving into an elegant, satisfied smile.
Simply watching her waver filled his chest with a strange sense of fulfillment. With this feeling, he could wait. He could wait until she came running into his arms of her own free will.
As if he knew outsiders were strictly forbidden from entering, Tez’s feet stopped precisely at the convent gate. He carefully set her down and said,
“I’ll come again, Sister.”
Unlike him, Sua couldn’t even manage a proper farewell. No matter how hard she pushed him away, he kept coming closer. She was terrified he would truly devour everything she was. She no longer felt worthy of praying to God. Her clouded eyes dropped to the ground. It was an abyss. Once thrown in, there would be no coming back.
There was no way to stop herself from sinking into that bottomless darkness. A sigh like a lament escaped her slightly parted lips.
“Ah… my rosary…!”
Only then did she snap back to her senses. The realization that the rosary she had been holding was gone finally allowed her to shake him from her thoughts. She reflexively turned toward the church but stopped herself. If she went back now, she would have to face Father Vincenzo.
“… I’ll have to go look for it this evening.”
It was the rosary Sister Agnes had given her—one that had never left her hands before. To have dropped it… As she wondered why, the memory of his mouth on hers flooded back.
The sensation of him ravaging her mouth made the space between her legs twitch involuntarily. No matter how hard she tried to push the memory away, her body remembered.
Eyes dark with despair fell to the ground. She could have pushed him away. She should have. But she hadn’t. She couldn’t even make excuses. In the end, it had been her who tangled her tongue with his in the midst of that overwhelming pleasure. Guilt crashed over her like a wave. Would God still accept someone who had fallen this far?
There was no denying it—her body, already under temptation, had been utterly corrupted.
“Ha…”
Frustrated, Sua fidgeted with her empty hands. She couldn’t tell whether the hollow feeling came from the missing rosary or from the burning heat she had felt in his arms just moments ago.
The damp fabric of her underwear clinging to the folds between her legs made her squeeze her eyes shut in dizzy shame. Turning away, she headed to her room. With every step, the wet cloth slid against her sensitive flesh.
Even without experience, she knew. She knew why her underwear had suddenly grown wet. She knew why that place kept twitching.
She tried to banish the truth—that her impure body craved him. All she wanted was to wash it all away. She prayed the water would rinse clean both the wetness between her thighs and the pleasure that had soaked into her very soul.
Seated with one leg crossed over the other, Matteo leaned back in his chair, the sunlight pouring through the car window casting an elegant glow over his upper body.
Even his arrogant posture looked refined and dignified when he did it. It was all thanks to his striking appearance.
Matteo lifted his head. His eyes rose slowly in disbelief, fixing on Giovanni standing before him.
“Is it true?”
Giovanni nodded with a stiff expression.
“Yes, it’s true.”
“Proof?”
“He visited the church where that nun is again today. On days he can’t go, it seems Leroy goes in his place.”
If he was even sending Leroy, that meant the entire organization knew. Tez had fallen for an Asian nun. Matteo was already curious what their father, Michele, would say when he heard.
“Keep watching him.”
“Understood.”
Once Giovanni left, Matteo remained alone in the office. A soft, amused laugh escaped him.
A Korean nun. It seemed blood could not be denied after all. They said Tez’s birth mother had Korean blood. After building walls against every woman who approached him, he had chosen a Korean—and a nun at that. A woman who had vowed to serve God alone for the rest of her life.
“Of all the women in the world, he chose a nun.”
It didn’t matter. The two of them had never harbored the typical resentment of half-brothers. Nor did they share any particular affection. They were strictly business partners. As long as Tez did his job, who he met was irrelevant.
However,
“It will become a problem if it interferes with work.”
Until then, he would simply observe. He was curious what choice Tez would make now that he had a nun in his heart.
