Chapter 54: Elementary School, There is No Hope Ahead.
Winter break was nothing special.
In the early hours of the morning, I’d head to the fitness center and training facility owned by Hindel to do some light height-growth exercises, along with moderate flexibility and strength training. On days Hindel showed up, I’d play house with her for a bit; on days Marika came by, I’d do some extra stretching; and when the sisters who looked like perfect candidates for stupid, perverted meat toilets arrived, I’d pass the time playing "giddy-up."
Aside from Whitey, Goldie, and the Horse Sister, the Dark Elf Sister had recently developed a taste for "giddy-up" as well. I was starting to enjoy smacking that firm backside of hers. It wasn't just the way she openly let out moans; seeing her drenched in sweat while wearing those tight leggings was truly a magnificent sight.
Of course, most of the sisters who looked like perfect candidates for stupid, perverted meat toilets were like that.
Anyway, once dawn passed and morning arrived, I’d usually head to the soup-and-rice restaurant in front of Mom’s workplace to have some hot broth and rice. Afterward, I’d be escorted by Yuseoha to spend about two hours learning the violin, which was slowly starting to lose its charm.
The remaining two hours were spent on vocal training, listening to her tell me for the umpteenth time that I shouldn't freeze useless water spirits just for fun, or splashing around in Yuseoha’s swimming pool. That was my daily routine.
Around lunchtime, I’d spend time playing with Grasha at a place that was essentially a daycare attached to Mom’s office, and then the three of us would head home together hand-in-hand. That had been my life lately.
“I hate you, Big Brother!”
I had been living such a diligent life, so I couldn't understand why the little brat I was working so hard to raise and educate would suddenly blurt something like that out.
Mom chuckled and tried to soothe the sulking youngest.
“Our little Grasha, why do you hate your brother?”
“He keeps stealing my friends!”
Mom blinked blankly for a moment before snickering. I think I knew why the youngest was upset. Since her brother followed her around like a nuisance, playing with "our pretty youngest" and "our cute Grasha," she hadn't thought much of it.
But in the playroom, there was an older brother who looked mature and incredibly handsome to the other toddlers—of course their eyes would be drawn to him.
On top of that, it wasn't just the kids who noticed me. Even the playroom teachers seemed to want to strike up a conversation and spend time with me. People from the Police Headquarters would stop by as they passed, stroking my hair and saying things like, “So you’re Deputy Commissioner Degrain’s son~,” or “Are you Ame’s son?” It was only natural that I’d be popular.
The problem was that I had naturally become the superstar of the playroom.
Furthermore, since I was living my second playthrough, I appeared to the children as a mature older brother or a peer who was just different. When playing house, the quality of the game skyrocketed just by having a "Papa" present, so popularity was inevitable.
Well, most of the time, my role as Papa just involved greeting and hugging the "Mama" or opening snack packs I’d gotten permission to bring from the officers' lounge and serving them as "dinner," so it wasn't exactly difficult.
“Our Grasha, are you mad because Big Brother stole your friends?”
“Yeah!!!”
“Big Brother was mean, wasn't he?”
“Yeah!!!”
Even Mom, who always took my side, started to denounce me—not as a pathetic female, but as a "Super Mother" in front of the preschooler.
“What can Big Brother do to make you feel better?”
“He has to let me join when he plays house!”
She was singing a different tune now, even though she’d walked away before saying she wouldn't do it when I tried to give her roles like the dog, the younger sister, the mistress, the cat, or a toy. This was slander. Pure, malicious slander!
“Did Big Brother not let you join the house play?”
“No!!! I want to be the older sister next door, the boss at work, or the teacher! But he keeps giving me weird roles!”
The child’s relentless demands continued. Mom looked over at me. I nodded as if I understood. Ame Cal Degrain then pulled both me and the troublesome youngest into a tight embrace, squeezing us so hard it was difficult to escape, while claiming that we were the reason she had the strength to live.
And so, the winter break season passed safely.
Finally!
At last!
I was able to enter Elementary School. It was a "Basic" school, on a completely different level from a mere primary school for little brats. In other words, I was now an adult.
Do you get it? It’s Elementary School. A "Basic" school that only adults can attend. It means everyone there is an adult! Just with intelligence that hasn't fully developed yet!
During the entrance ceremony, I tried to spot other boys among the scattered children, but I couldn't tell if they were girls with short hair or boys who lacked spirit, so I failed to get a head count.
But that wasn't the important issue.
“Why!!!! Why!!!!! Why!!!!”
I couldn't help but scream in rage. If a god existed, this couldn't be happening. No, it was more accurate to say that because that damn Goddess existed, this was exactly the kind of thing that would happen.
How could there be such a gruesome and horrific story?
“My son, are you upset because you aren't in the same class as Su-yeon?”
“Aaaaaagh!!!”
I clutched my hair and screamed. Why was that brat in the class next door? Damn Im Su-yeon! Horrible Im Su-yeon! Why did that monster follow me here! Why! Why! Why!
“Fufu, Mom had a good talk with Su-yeon’s mom. It turns out Su-yeon is quite smart, and her mom was already considering sending her to school early. Isn't it great?”
“Aaaaaagh!!!! I hate you, Mom!!! I hate you!!!!”
I pounded on Mom’s chest with my tiny fists. Her breasts, which possessed solid bulletproof performance, relentlessly bounced my fists back.
“Even if you like Su-yeon, you have to marry Mom, so you can't cheat, okay~?”
The Elf Mama was spewing absolute nonsense. I couldn't take it anymore.
“...I’m running away from home!”
I stormed out of the house.
The problem was, I had nowhere to go. Alicia and Morian lived far away, and Yuseoha’s house was in the outskirts, quite a distance for a young child to walk from our home in the city center.
Naturally, the only place I could go was the eight-story fitness center owned by Hindel. When I went there at dawn, the pretty sisters would dote on me, but coming here at night, it felt like a serial killer’s den.
“Hey kid, this isn't a place for playing.”
As soon as I stepped into the first floor, a tanned, muscular sister with a scar over her eye growled at me. She was a blonde-haired, gold-eyed beauty. The sisters in this neighborhood were all beauties, so it was quite a feast for the eyes.
But such sentiments were secondary. My heart was already shattered from Mom’s betrayal, and being threatened on top of that made the tears start to flow.
I wasn't usually someone who cried easily, but I had believed I could escape Im Su-yeon and start a new life, only to be betrayed. The fact that Mom was the one who led the betrayal was more than I could bear.
“Heugh… hic… ugh….”
“Ah, hey, d-don't cry! Don't cry!”
When the scarred sister started trying to stop me, I couldn't hold it back any longer.
“Waaaaaaaah!!!!!”
I wailed with all my might.
“No, stop… d-don't cry… do you, do you want a candy? Huh? Please?”
I sobbed even harder. Im Su-yeon, Im Su-yeon, Im Su-yeon! Why did the world give birth to that monster! Why did it release that monster into the world—a monster with the talent to crush a genius who could blaspheme even God in his second life!
If you were going to give me desires, you should have given me the talent to match!
Damn Goddess! Bitch of a Goddess!
I’ll overturn the board I’ve set in this world!
After several minutes of lying face down and wailing in resentment, a crowd had gathered. My crying was finally starting to subside.
What I needed wasn't to be some boring kept man. I needed a life where I could swing my dick however I pleased, as if taking revenge on the Goddess who created this horrific world.
Ignoring the flustered sister, I wiped my tears with my arm.
“What’s all the commotion…. Master?”
Just as I was calming down, the Dark Elf Sister emerged through the crowd.
“Hic… ugh…. Big Sister?”
“What happened? Why are you crying?”
Lisar’s expression hardened. I felt like the surrounding onlookers took a step back.
“It’s nothing.”
“No, you were crying like this… it can't be nothing…. Was it you?”
Lisar looked at the scarred sister standing stiffly beside me with an expressionless face.
“No, no, it wasn't me. It really wasn't. This just isn't a place for kids to enter….”
The sister making excuses suddenly vanished from my sight. No, she had slammed into a pillar and was falling to the floor. I didn't see exactly what happened, but I could guess.
“...I thought you were doing well lately, but you’re making my old personality come out.”
Lisar brushed back her black bangs and let out a long sigh. I saw the muscular sister on the floor, twitching like a frog hit by an electric needle.
“Big Sister, Big Sister, no. Don't. You can't hit her.”
“Young Master, I’m just going to go somewhere else and have a little chat. Wait here.”
Lisar was smiling gently, but to me, it looked like that sister on the floor was guaranteed to end up at least half-crippled if they went somewhere else, so I had to stop her.
“No! No! I’m not cry—well, I was crying! But it wasn't because of that sister, it was because of Im Su-yeon! Im Su-yeon did this!”
“Im Su-yeon? Who is that?”
It was embarrassing to reveal my inferiority complex regarding Im Su-yeon, but I had to save a life. Once I explained everything, Lisar’s face contorted.
It wasn't an expression of anger, but rather one that said she found me so cute she couldn't help herself.
“Aigo, you really caused a scene. Hey, hey, you okay? Amber, you alive?”
“Ye-yes….”
Bleeding from a split lip, the blonde tanned sister staggered to her feet.
“If it had been the Boss, your face would be caved in by now, so consider yourself lucky, okay?”
“Yes, yes… I’m sorry….”
It seemed Lisar hadn't lost her habits from her days as a mafia member in a small city. In times like this, I had to be the one to apologize. I immediately prostrated myself.
“I’m sorry, Amber Noona!!!”
“Young Master, you don't apologize for things like this. Get up.”
“Big Sister was in the wrong! So I have to apologize instead!”
I had to apologize as a matter of human decency. I’d suspected it since we played "beast," but Hindel’s subordinates were barely human!
“Ah, I’ll be the one to apologize… so please don't apologize to someone like her. Especially not on the floor…!”
“Really? You’re going to apologize?”
“Yes, yes, I’ll apologize properly.”
The Dark Elf, Lisar, ruffled her black hair roughly and let out a long sigh.
“I’m sorry. Go to the hospital first; I’ll cover all the costs. Just don't tell Aoi or the Boss.”
“Big Sister!!!!”
“...I’m sorry. It was my mistake.”
I shouted at her. Flinching, Lisar clicked her tongue and bowed her head to apologize.
