The moment I finally snap and swear at them, the Mungs start spamming kkkkkk all over the chat. And in the middle of it someone drops "The pronunciation gives off real-employee vibes lol" as a bonus.
What employee? I have zero connection to the delinquents. If anything it's the complete opposite... Ugh.
Anyway, what's truly important for a VTuber is RP after all. An attractive voice matters, but an attractive RP is the device that lets people immerse themselves in the VTuber, right?
I once saw an RP where the soul of Bitcoin fused with a perfectly ripe mango to create Fully Ripe Bico-chan or whatever the hell it was, and it was insanely cute. It hadn't been my thing before that.
In other words, that's how important RP is!
Today I wanted to talk about RP with all you Mungs.
I even changed the stream title to RP Research Lab.
"Alright, alright~ Everyone please take your seats for real now. I've got some RP concepts ready, so take a look and tell me what you think?"
Memo pad, on. I started typing out all the RP ideas I'd come up with.
The main theme I settled on was my own nickname, BangMung.
The origin of that nickname isn't anything special. It's just a meme from a character in a mobile game Eris plays often. The sound of it rolls off the tongue nicely so I started using it. There's no deeper meaning.
Still... now that it's gone beyond a simple gallery nickname and become my actual streamer name, I might as well make full use of it.
"So I thought about what characters use a club as a weapon, right? After thinking really hard, one character suddenly hit me like BAM! and that character is...!"
I paused for a second, then continued with a bright smile.
"A dokkaebi! A dokkaebi that uses a dokkaebi's club as a weapon! What do you think? Pretty good, right~? It hits the spot, doesn't it~?"
The final RP I came up with is a dokkaebi.
Ha... Am I a genius? How on earth did I come up with the idea to connect it to a dokkaebi?
Even thinking about it now, it's a fucking brilliant idea. Especially since a dokkaebi character isn't exactly common, so I like that. Or is it common? I don't really know.
Anyway, it's a Korean character. As a bonus I can squeeze in some national pride... Hehe.
"I've even thought up the background~? Basically, the princess of the Dokkaebi Kingdom, Watashi, suddenly gets interested in Earth and warps over here. The setting is that she starts streaming to understand human culture~"

Come on, listen seriously. I'm starting to doubt whether these guys actually like VTubers like I do.
If another VTuber was talking about RP like this they'd just spam laughter like giggling whores.

Just as I thought. They were talking big but they actually like the RP I came up with.
Then just say that from the beginning. I almost banned you guys by mistake. Not a real ban, just a ten-minute timeout though.
"Oh! I've already thought of a fan name too."
Fan name. The term for a VTuber's fandom.
"Red Bean Porridge! What do you think? Isn't it super cute? Am I the only one feeling it?"
"...Fucking bad? Hmm..."
The Mungs are fiercely protesting this one. They're opposing it even more passionately than they did the dokkaebi concept.
Is it really that bad? Is Red Bean Porridge kinda lame?
It has a connection to dokkaebi so I thought it was fine. But now that I think about it, red bean porridge and dokkaebi are polar opposites so maybe it's not great.
I should rethink this one.
"Okay~ I'll take the feedback. I'll think more about the fan name."
"What do you mean, accepted it. I brought it up in the first place to get your feedback... Hehe."
