The Queen Con
The stuff those guys above are saying sounds familiar lol
Ahem…. To think someone could see Elsa that way. As expected, human madness and lust are unpredictable. The Elsa con. This is kinda fun. That enlightened expression feels familiar somehow? But why aren't the Pa-ttak crew reacting to the con I made.
What came back was HunterYaCaeyo's soulless praise. I was just about to pick up a brush and draw a black rectangle on my philtrum.
At the same time, an exchange alarm rang. I accepted the request with a cheerful heart. Carefully catching the falling food bowls.
"What's this?" Along with the food, a box I'd never seen before fell from the air.
"This…. Why is the box so cold? It's not food?" The box was tightly wrapped in ice.
"Huh?" After waiting for it to melt, I opened the box and found various cleaning tools frozen solid inside.
Crack! Crack-crack!! I separated the tools from the ice one by one. But there was a note frozen to the bottom. I carefully blew on it to melt the ice without tearing the note.
[Fuck, clean your room and live! ■ ■ ■ ■ ■]
The handwriting was pretty, though. Yeah. I'll clean properly too.
"Still, Elsa's the only one who cares about me…. Huh?" But there were words scribbled out on the note. What had been written there? It looked like it had been covered up in a hurry. And very emotionally, too.
[Fuck, clean your room and live! Because I'm worried]
"?!!! What's this?" What was she worried about? Assassination? Or a threat? Was some Illuminati-like group targeting me? I'd gotten used to notes like this since my hero days. My existence had always been a nuisance. Maybe Elsa was really sending me a message with a secret code to give me a heads-up. But no matter how I rearranged the letters on the note, no clear message emerged. Still, that was fine. I was used to situations like this too. There was only one answer! The real message contained in the note was!!
"She really is just worried. My room must've been that bad…."
On the back of the note was a hand-drawn Elsa con of her own. Unlike the gallery's Elsa con, this one was giving a thumbs-up.
"This is…. kinda unexpected…." If it was a gift, then it was a gift. I should express my thanks in my own way, right? Something natural. The most natural method was obvious. Authentication.
Came in like I was possessed after seeing the title lol
"Still, since he sent it, he does clean, huh?" Seol Hayan muttered as she looked at Ju-ddak's authentication post. She always clicked her tongue and swore, but she was only grateful to Ju-ddak. Not only had he saved her life, he'd given her a B-class weapon for free. He was her benefactor. Yet the benefactor's real life looked unstable. Ju-ddak's room was proof of that. Bright and cheerful in the gallery, but what if he actually had severe depression? Young adult solitary death was a serious issue. If he really was depressed, cleaning his room would help a lot. Small successes from small attempts give people strength. Ju-ddak must have needed a lot of courage to go hunt goblins last time too. Still, those tail comments…. were a bit shocking. Do men really live like that?
"Noona!!" "Hayan unnie!" Suddenly, children came running and hugged Seol Hayan.
"You already finished playing? You said you wanted to play more!" Seol Hayan patted the children's heads and answered cheerfully.
"We're bored because Noona won't play with us…. Let's make snowmen together! Noona, make a blizzard!"
"Hey! We agreed not to say that! We said we'd just greet Hayan unnie because she's busy!"
"You said you like playing with Noona too!" The children started bickering. They were all children staying at the Winter Wonderland shelter. Seol Hayan was the owner of Winter Wonderland. They were all survivors who had lived through monster attacks from gates and victims who had nowhere to go after losing their families. And Seol Hayan couldn't just ignore them. This was why Seol Hayan had stood at the front to stop Sarakhan. 'I have to protect these children no matter what.' That was why Seol Hayan was even more grateful to Ju-ddak. She relieved the stress of protecting the children by acting as a concept poster, so she understood Ju-ddak's dual nature better than anyone. He probably hadn't seen the words she'd scribbled out on the note, right? She'd erased them because she thought it would be too burdensome. "Hayan unnie! So did you put the note in?" "Look at this kid? What note?" "Unnie! You were writing a note this morning saying you'd give it to someone, then erasing it!!" Tsk! This is why I hate sharp-eyed brats. "You saw that?" "Is it your crush?!" "Kids don't need to know about that!! And it's not a crush, okay? Go play over there!" When Seol Hayan stretched out her hand, a snowman quickly rose up. Thud! Thud! The two children giggled and mercilessly pulled off the head and body. "She said it's her crush!!" The children teased her and started running, leaving Seol Hayan alone. But even as they moved away, the children could clearly see it. A faint smile quietly spreading across Seol Hayan's face.
