Chapter 459: Green Crystal Core
Chapter 459: Green Crystal Core
Yun Tao and Liang Ziyu have no time to catch their breath. With Zhan Lian’s help, they carry the giant flower bulb to the second floor and toss it into the flames Luo Feifan has created.
It leaves a deep hole in the center of the first floor. White, writhing roots—deprived of sunlight—twitch like giant maggots. But now that the bulb is gone, they lose their nourishment. If they don’t absorb blood or flesh quickly, they won’t last.
Zhan Lian returns moments later and pours molten metal into the hole, sealing it, before heading back upstairs to continue fighting.
The bridal shop falls quiet again. Aside from the scent of burning mutant wood, everything seems calm.
It’s late at night, but dawn soon arrives. An Ran opens the SUV door and glances at Doll. She’s still sound asleep.
“Sister!”
A soft call comes from the stairs. An Ran looks up and sees Little Mint beckoning her.
She calls for Zhao Ru, gets out of the car, walks to the stairs, and asks, “What is it?”
As she approaches, she hears laughter and shouting upstairs as the men battle the vines.
Little Mint opens her palm. In it lies a marble-sized green crystal core, glowing softly in the dark.
An Ran’s eyes light up with a faint green sheen. She stares at the crystal and asks, “Where did this come from?”
“I found it in the ashes of that flower bulb!” Little Mint beams.
The bulb Zhan Lian slashed and Luo Feifan burned is massive—but none of them notice this tiny core inside.
But Little Mint has a sharp eye. She’s always been good at finding crystal cores.
She gives it to An Ran. Though Little Mint also uses ability, hers consume very few cores. As a special-type ability user, she mainly relies on eating and sleeping to restore energy.
An Ran pats Little Mint’s head in praise. Holding the core up to the second-floor firelight, she murmurs, “It looks like a seed.”
The longer she looks at it, the more it feels like it pulses with life.
An Ran channels a bit of energy into the core. Suddenly, it bursts open and flies upward, piercing the concrete ceiling—and rushes straight to the second floor!
Zhan Lian’s voice roars down, “What the hell?!”
Then he rushes downstairs, followed by Luo Feifan and Yun Tao.
They think the first floor is under attack.
Everyone upstairs and downstairs stares as a small vine emerges from An Ran’s hand, glowing green, swaying gently like a dancing snake—radiating pure joy.
