Chapter 441: Stab It to Death
Chapter 441: Stab It to Death
An Ran gives the command, and a brave, fearless fat thorn ball rolls up the snake’s massive body, planting itself firmly atop the serpent’s head. Fueled by urgency and rage, she shouts in her mind:
“Stab it!”
Without hesitation, she scoops a handful of metal crystal cores from the bucket and absorbs them all in one go, ignoring the searing pain that follows.
Under the silver moonlight, the metalen thorns on the fat thorn ball gleam coldly atop the triangular head of the enormous snake.
Just then, a deafening boom erupts from the direction of the bus station—a massive explosion lights up the sky with a fiery-red mushroom cloud.
The thorn ball plunges into the snake’s eye, embedding itself deep in the soft tissue and holding on tight as it begins to frantically absorb the snake’s flesh and blood.
Seeing the opening, Yun Tao roars, “Now’s our chance!”
He rushes forward, leaps onto the snake, and throws his arms around the bone horns on its head, holding on for dear life. Liang Ziyu follows his lead. Without needing instructions, he charges in and grabs the snake by the tail.
Together, the two men start to pull—hard—trying to straighten the massive beast.
Naturally, the mutant snake refuses to go down without a fight. Even with the thorn ball piercing its eye, it writhes in fury, twisting its massive body and slamming Yun Tao and Liang Ziyu to the ground beneath it.
But this—this is exactly the opportunity they need!
Watching from inside the mall, An Ran—wracked with pain from absorbing the metal cores—still finds herself clapping in delight. The belly of the mutant snake—its one true weak spot—is exposed!
If they don’t attack now, then when?
Dozens of fat thorn balls surge forward, launching themselves at the snake’s soft underbelly.
Stab!
Stab!
Stab it to death!
The snake thrashes wildly as the fat thorn balls puncture its abdomen again and again. Its long, coiled body convulses, and in that chaos, it rolls over once more.
Yun Tao and Liang Ziyu are nearly coughing up blood from being crushed, but they push through it—because now the snake is exactly where they need it.
One clings to the snake’s head, the other to its midsection.
“More force!!!” Yun Tao shouts.
With a loud crack, he snaps the bone horns clean off the snake’s head and presses down with all his strength—every ounce of it, even the strength he doesn’t know he has.
Liang Ziyu, gripping the serpent tightly, hoists its long body up into the air. The fat thorn balls stab relentlessly into the exposed belly.
And then, as if pushed to the edge of desperation—or maybe just fueled by adrenaline—Liang Ziyu yells at the top of his lungs: “Zhao Ru!!! I liked you back in college—I liked you!!!”
Zhao Ru, standing on the second-floor balcony, turns bright red. She bends forward and shouts back: “Go kill your monster!”
Their relationship has always been ambiguous—just like An Ran and Yun Tao’s. Everyone assumes they’re couples, but in truth, they’ve just been acting for appearances. Technically, Zhao Ru and Liang Ziyu are simply college classmates. Since both studied under Zhao Qianrong, they’ve always been close. Liang Ziyu even followed Zhao Ru when she went to Africa.
No one can tell if he’s shouting that to confess or to psych himself up, but it makes Zhao Ru blush regardless.
And then, beneath the cold moonlight, a blade of sharp light suddenly descends from above—like a sword falling from the heavens.
With a single slash, it slices the stretched-out snake clean in half.
An Ran’s eyes widen in joy.
Zhan Lian is back!
Without a second thought, she rushes down the stairs, takes Doll from Little Mint’s arms, and runs forward, ready to greet Zhan Lian’s return.
