Chapter 9
Chapter 9
Voice Reveal
I had written plenty of posts on the Ifrit Gallery and stirred up my fair share of reactions—
but I had never seen a response this intense before.
It was almost fascinating.
The post I made:
“Breaking news: I’m streaming tomorrow”
Comments flooded in:
“Wait, seriously?”
“If I visit, do I get anything?”
“You saw Manming’s stream and got inspired lol”
“Streaming is harder than you think”
It felt like people assumed I was going all-in.
So I quickly clarified:
“I’m not doing this seriously. Just for fun with you guys.”
That should’ve made it clear.
More comments followed:
“If it goes well, you’ll keep going anyway lol”
“If money starts printing, of course you continue”
Fair point.
Still—
that wasn’t the goal.
Right now, the priority was reaching level 30.
“Finally…”
I hit level 30.
Took longer than expected—
but now I could finally play ranked.
[ Solo/Duo Ranked ]
I had waited so long for this.
They say ranked is the most fun part.
‘Let’s see.’
Excited, I started setting up the stream.
I had studied enough online, so it wasn’t too difficult.
Everything was ready.
All that remained—
was pressing “Start Stream.”
“…Hmm.”
Yeram would be home soon.
If she walked in while I was streaming—
that would be awkward.
Not because streaming itself was embarrassing—
but because she might hear me saying weird things.
‘Better start when she gets here.’
She knew more about streaming anyway.
So I waited.
Then—
Beep beep—
The door opened.
Yeram walked in and collapsed on the floor.
“I’m exhausted…”
She looked dead tired.
But I had something more important.
“Hey, I need help with something.”
“…Now?”
“Yeah. It’s urgent.”
She reluctantly got up and sat down.
“What is it?”
I hesitated.
How do you casually say—
“I’m starting a stream”?
She’d definitely make fun of me.
“Hurry up.”
She pushed me.
“…I’m starting a stream. Help me.”
Now it was her turn.
After setting everything up—
“Looks good.”
“Finally done…”
She said there were even more advanced settings—
but those took too long.
I was already tired.
“Alright, I’m starting. Stay quiet.”
“Okay.”
I even paid her to stay quiet.
Ten thousand won.
Then—
Click.
The stream started.
No face cam.
I wanted to talk with people—
not show my face.
I checked chat.
One viewer.
“Hello.”
Probably someone random.
But then—
The username—
I recognized it instantly.
“…Lee Yeram. Want to die?”
She had joined without telling me.
“I’ve never seen you so polite before.”
“Shut up.”
I calmed myself and posted on the gallery:
“I’ve started streaming. Come join.”
Soon—
people started arriving.
12 viewers.
“Hey everyone.”
I greeted them naturally.
Then—
Chat exploded:
“????”
“What the hell?”
“Why is that a male voice?”
“Am I hearing things?”
That’s when it hit me.
‘Oh right… this is a gender-reversed world.’
From their perspective—
someone they thought was a woman—
was actually a man.
No wonder they were shocked.
“Believe it or not, up to you.”
No need to prove anything.
Revealing it wouldn’t benefit me anyway.
Chat kept reacting:
“Wait, seriously a guy??”
“No way lol”
“Turn on your cam”
They didn’t believe me.
Understandable.
Even I wouldn’t.
Then—
“…Who are these idiots?”
Yeram was getting angry beside me.
