Chapter 14
Chapter 14
Mangming’s Viewers Raid
Time passed, and it was finally time to get off work.
Yeram and her friends had already left the café.
Probably heading to the academy or somewhere to study.
‘They really live diligently.’
I changed out of my uniform.
“Good work today.”
“Ah, yes! Take care!”
Yehwa stayed behind again.
Apparently, she worked until evening.
‘When does she even eat?’
I was curious—but not enough to stay and ask.
I headed home.
Creak—
I opened the door and let fresh air in.
Yeram wasn’t home.
Probably at the study room.
‘Good.’
Streaming while she was around felt a bit awkward.
Like exposing something embarrassing.
Better this way.
I checked my post.
“I’m going live soon.”
Comments were already piling up:
“Finally”
“Hurry up and start”
“I’ve been waiting”
“Is it really that fun?”
People here didn’t have much to do—
so they made anything into entertainment.
Including me.
I finished setting up the stream.
Click click—
“All set.”
I didn’t hesitate.
Click.
The stream started.
Viewers began joining—
faster than before.
11 viewers almost immediately.
“…Why are there so many?”
Compared to big streamers, it was nothing—
but for me, it was huge.
Chat greeted me:
“Hi”
“You started fast today”
“Just play anything, we’re bored”
“…Fast?”
It hadn’t even been that long.
Weird.
Anyway—
I launched a game.
Not LoL yet.
I needed to warm up first.
Ding—
That familiar sound.
A game anyone would recognize.
“I’ll warm up with this first.”
It was Maple Story.
Not many people played it anymore—
but I liked it.
Relaxing.
Simple.
‘I don’t spend money anyway.’
Sure, it’s harder without paying—
but I didn’t mind.
I wasn’t chasing stats.
Just enjoying the visuals.
Chat reacted immediately:
“What is this?”
“You’re playing THIS?”
“Unbelievable”
That’s why I never told people I played it.
Too much judgment.
“Don’t come bother me. Just watch.”
I warned them in advance.
I hated people interrupting my grinding.
“Who would even do that lol”
“Relax”
Still—
better safe than sorry.
Bang—bang—
I moved around, farming.
After a while—
“Alright, warmed up.”
My hands felt ready.
“Finally”
“That was boring”
“Clean farming though”
“Let’s play LoL now.”
This time—
top lane again.
“Last time, I didn’t really get to play top properly.”
“Yeah, that was unlucky”
“Too many trolls in low ranks”
“Is Gold even high? I just started.”
Chat answered:
“For a beginner? Very high”
“I was Bronze at first lol”
So—
not bad.
‘Maybe I actually have talent.’
I queued.
Match found quickly.
“Top again. Nice.”
I started picking a champion—
then—
Chat exploded.
“What the hell???”
“No way”
“That’s actually Mangming??”
Mangming?
Before I could process—
new viewers flooded in.
“Is this the stream?”
“Hi”
“How old are you??”
“Mangming raid ON”
Viewer count jumped—
“…What is happening?”
They came from Mangming’s stream.
A raid.
Completely unexpected.
Still—
more viewers wasn’t a bad thing.
So I greeted them calmly.
“Hey everyone.”
