Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Talent Is Overflowing
First, I should explain what the support role is.
I haven’t played the game for that long, so I might not be completely accurate, but from what I understand, it’s a role that assists the ADC.
Taking damage for them, shielding them—
basically helping them survive and deal damage.
But my perspective is a bit different.
There’s a saying—
the best defense is offense.
If you deal enough damage to push the enemy away, that also fulfills the role of a support.
“From what I’ve noticed playing alone… ADCs often don’t really do their job properly.”
To reach level 30, I had to grind a lot of normal games.
And during that time—
I realized something.
The “attack damage carry” role doesn’t always carry.
“And most of them just try to take all the kills and treat the support like an emotional punching bag.”
Whenever I got assigned support while playing solo—
this happened often.
Things like:
“Are you a beast?”
“What are you doing there, orphan?”
Yeah.
Not great.
So naturally—
I didn’t trust ADCs much.
Chat reacted:
“You figured that out already lol”
“ADCs are all the same”
“Hey, stop slandering ADCs”
“Anyway… I feel like instead of farming minions, it’s better to roam and get kills elsewhere to grow.”
As a support, you’re tied to someone you don’t even know.
So instead of sticking to them—
moving around felt more efficient.
Like right now.
[ You have slain an enemy! ]
“Nice.”
The champion I picked—Salus—
had strong early skirmishing.
Short trades, quick damage, then disengage.
So I roamed.
Helping every lane except bottom.
Chat started noticing:
“Wait, why are you actually good?”
“Didn’t you just start?”
“Is this a smurf account?”
They were misunderstanding something.
So I explained:
“I watch gameplay videos during breaks, and after every match I review replays… I do this for every game I play.”
I liked strategy games.
And this one—
felt similar.
Like chess, in a way.
Different rules, but similar thinking.
Chat responded:
“You should be working during breaks lol”
“That’s actually not bad though”
Meanwhile—
I kept roaming and creating impact.
Then—
our ADC started typing.
“Why is our support leaving me?”
“This is so annoying”
Here we go.
“Objectively speaking, ADCs complain the most. Top is second.”
That was my personal data.
Based on actual experience.
Then—
the ADC escalated.
“I don’t want to play anymore”
“Why does my support always abandon me?”
They gave up.
Just like that.
I had seen it many times in normal games—
but in ranked too?
“…Unbelievable.”
Still—
I wasn’t surprised.
“And if every support leaves you… maybe you’re the problem?”
I typed calmly:
“ADC, I have a question”
“Did you complete basic education?”
“I’m genuinely curious”
I avoided insults.
Better safe than sorry.
Polite sarcasm hits harder anyway.
And it worked.
The response:
“your mom”
“…Ah.”
They crossed the line.
Not legally actionable—
but definitely over.
Chat reacted:
“They’re tilted lol”
“That was instant”
I typed one last message:
“Screenshot taken.”
Then ignored them.
Honestly—
if they had used explicit insults, it’d be easier to act.
But this?
Not enough.
Still—
I had already gained a huge advantage.
[ You have slain an enemy! ]
“Big win.”
Top lane was completely fed.
Meanwhile—
our ADC was still standing still, just typing.
“I’d swallow my pride and try to win… but I guess not everyone thinks that way.”
Pride matters—
but winning matters more.
At least to me.
Soon—
the enemy nexus exploded.
[ Victory ]
My first ranked game—
a win.
Then—
Ping.
A friend request.
From the ADC.
“…They’re really mad.”
I declined it immediately.
No reason to engage further.
And queued for the next game.
Chirp chirp—
Morning.
But I hadn’t slept.
I had been playing nonstop.
“Alright… I’ll stop here.”
I stretched.
“Reached Gold too… not bad.”
Chat said goodbye:
“Good job today”
“See you next stream”
“That was fun”
I ended the stream.
Stats appeared:
[ Average viewers: 12 ]
Not bad for a first stream.
And reaching Gold on day one?
“…Maybe I actually have talent.”
With that thought—
I stood up.
Time to wake Yeram.
