Can't We Just Do It?
I pulled my hazy mind together and opened my eyes to an unfamiliar ceiling. Well, not that unfamiliar. It wasn't something I saw every day, but it was definitely in my memory. And to top it off, there was this unpleasant pressure on my right breast from the lump of flesh.
Waking up back in a man's body clearly wasn't going to happen. Web novels really were just web novels, huh.
"Hot."
But more than that, it was annoying. I turned my head left and right, finding myself sandwiched between two girls. Even the slightest squirm pressed soft skin against me from both sides—maybe "sandwiched" wasn't right; "pinned down" felt more accurate. Any guy would be lighting up with excitement in this situation, but unfortunately, the thing between my legs that should've reacted enthusiastically to match was long gone.
Pushing aside the regret, I craned my neck to check things out. On my left, Chaewon had her arms wrapped tightly around my waist, her forehead gently resting against the side of my chest as she slept. Her steady breaths tickled a bit... but hey, this was nothing.
Honestly, she wasn't quite on the level of some big-chested unnie somewhere, but Chaewon was plenty soft and cute!
The problem was the girl on my right. Seo Dayeon, with a goofy, mysterious smile on her lips, was openly groping my breast. Was she pretending to sleep and messing with me? I stared daggers at her face for a good while, but no reaction. She must really be out. Seeing that shit-eating grin even in her sleep made me want to flick her forehead hard.
I pried Dayeon's hand off my breast and neatly placed it on her own instead. Her brows furrowed slightly right away. Without missing a beat, her kneading hand kept going. Guess the size she could grab now wasn't satisfying enough.
I carefully got up without stepping on the still-lying Chaewon and headed to the bathroom. This slightly unfamiliar old multiplex apartment was Lee Seoeun's place. The movie we'd watched yesterday was a high-teen American rom-com, and Chaewon got all hyped by the pajama party scene, suggesting we do one too. Of course, dopamine demon Seo Dayeon wasn't about to say no. Even I and Seoeun—who were supposed to be the rational ones in our little party—caved because the film had hit us pretty hard.
Shaking my head alone wasn't gonna change anything. It was a pajama party in name only; the pretty face staring back from the bathroom mirror was plastered with exhaustion, wearing a loose T-shirt and comfy shorts underneath. No way lovable pretty college girl Song Yuwon had actual pajamas, so I had no choice.
The beer kept me on the toilet for a while. After cleaning up, brushing my teeth, and coming out, Chaewon was standing by the door.
"Sleep well, Yuwon?"
Whoa, her voice was completely wrecked. More raspy air than actual tone came through. She'd screamed her lungs out singing karaoke till dawn, so it made sense.
From behind her, Seoeun's worried voice floated down from the loft bed she was tidying.
"Chaewon, what's up with your throat?"
"Exactly."
"Not like vocal cord nodules or something?"
She sounded seriously concerned. But Chaewon, seeming used to this, just flashed a bright smile and shook her head.
"Nah. This is just how I get. Clears up in a few days, so don't worry."
With that, she slipped into the bathroom. Judging by the sounds echoing from the front door, she'd been holding it in too.
"Anyway, what do we do about her?"
I nudged the hip of Dayeon, still sprawled on the blanket-covered floor, and asked.
"What do you mean? Wake her up. It's already 10."
Seoeun said it flatly.
"Thought rich girls like her couldn't sleep on the floor, but she's out cold."
~
There was a pretty famous rice noodle soup place in front of Seoeun's apartment. Not some crappy franchise—the real deal with properly simmered broth. We had a light hangover cure there before parting ways. I'd worried Dayeon might throw a tantrum about hanging out more, but luckily, her hungover face had her meekly grabbing a taxi.
On the way home, I checked my smartphone—quite a few messages piled up. Seems like yesterday everyone had end-of-semester parties that kept going. They were sending late replies to my "have a good break" texts.
Jian, who took Thursday classes with me, had a message bursting with emojis and energy. Harin unnie said since she'd be staying in her studio over break, don't hesitate to hit her up anytime.
Other little messages too. Almost all—no, pretty much every one—from girls. First time in my life getting this many from women, so I felt a bit smug replying one by one.
The last one I saw in the officetel elevator was from Hanjiu. No text, just a screenshot of the reserved train ticket.
Hmm. Definitely first class. Monday, Daejeon Station arrival at 9:30 PM, Car 1, first class!
Hold up. The time... 9:30 PM? Worried he'd messed up, I sent a message.
Crazy bastard. Fucking psycho! Standing there like that?
A barrage of messages left me standing blankly in front of my door lock. My petty side wanted to stick out my tongue and say no... but thinking about it, he was right—we wouldn't see each other for a while if not now. We weren't close enough to share break routines anyway. And besides...
Seeing that chat made my body react weirdly. My lower belly twitched first.
Agh, annoying! Giving in like this feels like losing!
I punched in the door code roughly and flung myself onto the beanbag sofa. My bra shifted a bit from the motion, but I ignored it and glared at my phone. The three letters by "send" were basically agreement.
Yeah, that's our deal. With Hanjiu. So don't get hung up. It's just sex—no winning or losing.
But the pettiness sticking out its tongue suggested something else. I deleted those three letters and typed quickly.
That wrapped up with Hanjiu. I scrolled up quick to the chat with my sunbae—her profile pic alone made my lips curl up—and jumped in.
Fuck you, Hanjiu. I'm gonna make sure he can't even look at me straight tomorrow!

Next morning. Harin unnie, whom I met at the cafe near school, cut straight to it once we sat.
"What wind blew this sudden?"
"Just... Last time you did my makeup, I looked so pretty. Kinda wanna glam up a bit before heading home?"
Couldn't exactly say it was to shut some guy's mouth who wanted to eat me up.
"Yeah? Don't most parents hate that stuff?"
"Mine are pretty open-minded."
Made-up, but they probably wouldn't mind. Show up in full glam with a flowy skirt, and they'd be thrilled—maybe even teary-eyed?
I gave a wry smile and slurped some watermelon juice.
"I'll buy lunch since you'll be working hard."
"No no. Thank you! Honestly, my heart was pounding when I saw your text!"
Didn't sound like a lie—her already high-pitched voice seemed an octave higher.
"That much?"
"Yup yup! Totally!"
Eyes sparkling, she sucked on her amangju and continued.
"Y'know, Yuwon... you're kinda wasted like this."
"Wasted how?"
"Yuwon, don't you know how pretty you are?"
Her gaze was heavy. Heavy and intense. Couldn't look away from those shining eyes...
"Uh, I know..."
"Then it's shyness?"
"Kinda..."
"Pfft, nothing to be shy about!"
Unnie beamed warmly.
"I'm so jealous... Your face is gorgeous, body perfect, and you're cool too!"
Hold up.
"I'm cool?"
"Yup, a bit boyish maybe?"
She nodded emphatically.
"Bet you've gotten confessions from girls at school."
"Huh? Me?"
"Yup. That reaction says no?"
Well, lesbians aside...
"Next year, new freshmen girls will be lining up after you."
"No way."
"Way."
She downed the rest of her amangju, stood with a resolute face.
"Anyway, awesome! Last time was slapdash with what we had—this time, unnie's doing it proper!"
