Chapter 879
*Crash, crash, crash, crash.*
Though she possessed no inner energy, her strength was so immense that every swing of her sword stirred the saltpeter stones on the ground like a whirlwind, sending sand flying and rocks tumbling. The scene was utterly chilling. Yet Adolf, with his hands still clasped behind his back, continuously retreated, dodging her blade as if teleporting.
Queen Eda’s sword missed by an inch every time. Her speed increased as she chased him in a frenzy, creating an even more astonishing spectacle. Their figures moved so fast they became invisible. Queen Eda's power was so incredible that her greatsword left deep gashes in the ground wherever it passed, as if a gale had torn through. The two carved a long, deep scar from the saltpeter island all the way to the sea. Their speed was terrifying, their power immense, stirring the waves and even carving a deep trench through the water itself.
In the blink of an eye, Queen Eda had swung her sword thousands of times, yet she still seemed full of energy. However, her blade always fell just short of Adolf. A look of growing admiration appeared in Adolf's eyes. Queen Eda's strength and speed were even greater than he had imagined.
Adolf smiled and said.
“Don’t waste your energy, Queen Eda. You will never be able to harm a single hair on my head. All you need to do is lie back and enjoy it. If you manage to cut even one strand of my hair, I will consider this battle my loss.”
His words completely enraged Queen Eda, and her strength and speed rose to another level. Though she had no inner energy, a radiant light began to burst from her entire body. Adolf’s eyes were like those of a man admiring a masterpiece.
‘This woman is too strong. The golden bloodline is truly formidable.’
Queen Eda swung her sword thousands more times in a frenzy, but her opponent remained completely unharmed. He hadn't even moved his hands from the start. The trail of their battle now stretched for tens of thousands of meters. Finally, Queen Eda stopped, stared at Adolf, and spoke slowly.
“You are strong. Very, very strong, but not unfathomably mysterious. You might think I would despair after failing to touch even the hem of your clothes after ten thousand strikes, but isn't this merely an ancient art? Your innate bloodline is not superior to mine.”
“Indeed. You possess the golden bloodline, the pinnacle bloodline of this world. How could I possibly surpass you? However, your Amazon nation trains only in speed and strength, disdaining all other arts, unaware of how profound and immeasurable the ancient martial ways are. Of course, I am certain you are immeasurably deep as well.”
His last remark was another insult directed at Queen Eda. She replied coolly.
“Then you’ll have to ask Shen Lang. He has taken my measure.”
Hearing this, Adolf's expression shifted slightly.
“Interesting, very interesting. To think I’ve angered Queen Eda. Aren't you all too powerful to be trifled with?”
Queen Eda continued to glare at Adolf, unmoving, as if searching for a flaw. Adolf chuckled.
“Your Majesty, how about we continue our wager? If you manage to harm a single hair on my head, I will leave immediately. I will never bother you again. But if you fail, I’m afraid I will have to bother you endlessly. Whether you are bathing or sleeping, I will come for you. You will find it very difficult to guard against me. Hahaha! In time, you will fall into my hands.”
Queen Eda did not answer. Anyone else would have despaired by now, for there seemed to be no hope of victory. But her fighting spirit still soared. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and sat cross-legged, perfectly still.
*Whoosh.*
As if teleporting, Adolf suddenly appeared behind her, took a quick sniff, and said.
“What a fragrance. A scent that could drive a man mad.”
A moment later, Queen Eda rose to her feet and, with her bare hands, broke her greatsword. The massive weapon, weighing three to four hundred pounds, shattered piece by piece into over a hundred slender blades.
*Swish, swish, swish, swish.*
The fragmented blades shot out like a torrential downpour, forming a great circle in the air and spinning madly. The sight was truly unbelievable. She had created such an astonishing spectacle using nothing but pure strength and speed. Yet Adolf moved like a dancer fluttering within the circle of a hundred blades, his movements as swift as teleportation. Even this incredible method failed to harm him in the slightest. He was simply too powerful.
Queen Eda increased her speed. In an instant, the blades no longer formed a circle but a three-dimensional sword formation, a dense, all-encompassing net that seemed to leave no escape. She controlled all hundred blades perfectly by herself. Adolf was so astonished he felt his breath catch.
*Swish.*
He suddenly dropped to the ground, becoming as flat as a paper doll, and in the blink of an eye, slipped through a gap in the sword formation, reappearing dozens of meters away. Had he not escaped, he would have been trapped and shredded by her sword formation. Adolf laughed.
“You are very, very strong, far beyond my expectations. To think a woman could become this powerful without relying on inner force or energy. But you still haven't managed to harm a single hair on my head.”
Just then, a large ship appeared on the sea. Shen Lang and Hela had finally arrived. The moment Shen Lang saw the man with white hair and a white beard, his eyes narrowed.
“Sister, go help Queen Eda.”
The moment Shen Lang spoke, Hela vanished from his side, diving into the sea and rushing toward the saltpeter island in a flash. Using her inner energy, she moved with unparalleled speed, appearing behind Adolf.
“Let’s kill this man!”
With those words, Hela joined Queen Eda in a frenzied assault on Adolf. The leisurely air around Adolf finally vanished, but he still only dodged swiftly, never retaliating. Adolf sneered.
“Even with another powerful woman, Her Majesty the Queen cannot harm a single hair on my head. It seems you are destined to lie down and let me measure your depths.”
The two women attacked with even greater ferocity, yet they still couldn't touch a single hair on him. Adolf was too uncanny. His body moved as if teleporting, so fast that he was simply unreachable. On the sea, the sailboat continued to drift toward the saltpeter island. Seeing this, Hela suddenly shouted.
“Shen Lang, go! Get away from here!”
Hela had never seen anyone as strong and bizarre as Adolf. Helping Queen Eda was important, but protecting her brother was far more crucial. But where could Shen Lang go? The sailboat was drifting naturally with the current; he couldn't just flee into the sea.
Adolf sneered.
“So this is the easterner, Shen Lang. This is the man Queen Eda has been waiting for? Your Majesty, you will suffer if you follow a man like this. You won’t be able to enjoy yourself to the fullest, and a moment of carelessness could shatter his frail body. He wouldn’t last a second with you. For you to wait for such a man is a complete disgrace.”
Hela retorted.
“Shut up! My brother is the most handsome man in the world. How could you possibly compare? That is something one is born with; no matter how powerful your martial arts become, it’s useless. My brother has the noblest bloodline in the world. Are you his match? That, too, is innate. What use is there in cultivating your martial arts to such a high level?”
Adolf looked at Hela and said.
“Hahaha! Another peerless beauty has appeared. And such a wild one, too. This will be great fun. If my guess is correct, you are Hela? You’ve returned. How did you manage to come back?”
Hearing this, not only Hela but also Shen Lang was stunned. How did Adolf know Hela’s identity? She hadn't appeared in the Western World for over a decade.
“Hela, I must inform you. Whether in the Eastern World or the Western World, it is considered immoral for a brother and sister to be overly intimate.”
Adolf's sarcastic remark infuriated Hela.
‘This man is so foul and disgusting! How dare he defile the pure bond between my brother and me!’
“Queen Eda, hold on for a moment. I’ll be right there!”
After calling out to Queen Eda, Hela suddenly rushed to a stone cliff, drew her scimitar, and began hacking away at it. She soon carved out a massive saltpeter stone weighing several hundred pounds. Hela then hugged the huge stone, returned to the battlefield, and hurled it forcefully into the air. Leaping up after it, she began to pound the massive stone with her fists. A true storm of iron fists. Her fists even glowed with a dazzling light. Hela was a wielder of powerful inner energy.
*Boom, boom, boom.*
The stone, weighing hundreds of pounds, was instantly shattered by Hela's incredible energy, turning into powder. Queen Eda immediately understood her intent and brandished the slender blades in her hands. Under the two powerful women's assault, the saltpeter stone was ground into an extremely fine dust. The dust spread like a thick fog, covering an area of several dozen meters, and then suddenly ignited. This was extremely pure saltpeter. While difficult to ignite in solid form, it became explosive as a powder.
*BOOM!*
Countless flames erupted in an instant, turning a thousand-square-meter area into a sea of fire. The two women were utterly insane. An explosion of this magnitude would surely burn them as well.
*Whoosh.*
Adolf's body shot out at high speed, teleporting back over the sea. A piece of his clothing had been burned away.
“Impressive, very impressive. You managed to burn my clothes. But alas, you still haven’t harmed a single hair on me. Hahahaha! Queen Eda, it seems you are destined to lie beneath me after all!”
Then, his figure flickered at high speed and, in an instant, appeared on Shen Lang's sailboat. Hela saw this and screamed.
“No, no! Don’t you dare harm my brother!”
Hela rushed toward the sailboat, as did Queen Eda.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk. Sir Shen Lang, for a man to be so weak, don't you find it shameful? Are you planning to spend your entire life hiding behind a woman's skirts?”
To Adolf's words, Shen Lang replied.
“What's wrong with that? In the Eastern World, I lived off a peerless beauty. And I could undress her whenever I wished. I will live the same way in the Western World. It’s quite nice, being able to undress them so easily, don't you think?”
Adolf sneered.
“Good, very good! With such a silver tongue, it’s no wonder you do so well with women. While certain parts of your body may be useless, your tongue is quite exquisite.”
“As long as it can please a beautiful woman, any method will do, won't it?”
