Chapter 878
Hela grinned, revealing her pearly white teeth.
“Your big sister is very strong. If anyone tries to hurt you, I’ll squeeze them until they pop.”
“Sister, do you know what happened to me, then?”
“No. When I arrived in your little city, I didn’t speak to anyone. I either slept or trained my martial arts every day. I don’t want to talk to anyone but you.”
“I have a meager fleet under my command, the Black Pearl Pirate Corps. She is also a child left behind by the Goru Gang.”
Hela seemed to search her memory for a moment before speaking.
“Black Pearl? I think there might have been someone like that, but… I don’t want to think about anything related to the Goru Gang.”
Shen Lang could understand. It was clearly difficult for her to forgive anyone from the Goru Gang because of her mother’s death.
“Sister, after my identity was exposed in the Eastern world, I became a fugitive hunted by the Great Yan Empire. My wife and children fled to the Devil’s Triangle. Many people died for me in the Eastern world, and many are still waiting for me. I have to invade the Eastern world again.”
Hela stared at Shen Lang for a long moment, then asked.
“Are you also trying to achieve some so-called imperial ambition? Like Father? He left Mother and the Goru Gang fleet to pursue that imperial ambition.”
“No. I have no interest in imperial ambitions. I’m going to invade and kill all my enemies so that I have no enemies left in this world.”
Hela’s gaze on Shen Lang grew even more fervent.
“I love you, my dear little brother. You’re better than our father in that regard. Though your body is weak, you have a strong spirit. To hell with imperial ambitions. We live to feel alive. To kill with abandon, and bed with abandon.”
*So that’s why you went to participate in the Amazon tribe’s reproduction ritual? You were born wrong. You should have been a man, not a woman.*
“But… I will never let you venture into the Lost Nation. It’s a cursed place. If you go there, you’ll never come back. Not even the gods could save the Goru Gang legion, so you can’t either. Just let them be annihilated and go to hell. My dear little brother, I won’t go to the Lost Nation, and I won’t let you go either. You said you need a fleet? I’m the strongest pirate, so I’ll train a fleet for you. I’ll go to sea right now and capture men for you. I can get you as many pirates as you need. I’m your best naval commander.”
Shen Lang smiled bitterly to himself. He certainly believed Hela was capable, but he was truly running out of time. Besides, a pirate fleet trained from scratch now would be no match for the Goru Gang legion. They were likely an invincible fleet by this point.
Hela cupped Shen Lang’s face in her hands and said.
“I’m warning you, formally. I will not allow you to go. If you dare go there, I will strangle you first, then hang myself. I will absolutely not allow you to go to that cursed hell.”
Shen Lang looked into Hela’s eyes. Only then did he notice that while they appeared wild on the surface, deep within her pupils was a look of despair, loneliness, and even terror. Being trapped in the ruins of the Lost Nation for over a decade had taken a great toll on her mind and spirit. Her mother’s death, in particular, had driven her to even greater despair.
“I understand. I promise.”
Hela kissed Shen Lang’s cheek again.
“Good boy! You’re not just the little brother I imagined, you’re even more perfect. Big sister will take you somewhere special.”
Hela immediately took Shen Lang’s hand and walked outside.
“Where are we going?”
“To Fertility Island. Someone is waiting for you there. Didn’t I tell you? We live to feel alive. To kill with abandon, and bed with abandon. I promised Queen Eda I would bring you to her.”
Shen Lang had indeed made such a promise with the Amazon Queen. But so much had happened recently that he had been on the verge of breaking it.
“Isn’t the reproduction ritual ending soon?”
“But Her Majesty the Queen will wait for you. You don’t know what a woman’s promise means. Do you think women are as wretched as you men? Our so-called hero of a father patted our mother’s ass a few times and then left, but Mother waited for him her entire life. That’s why I don’t believe in love, and I don’t like men. I only love women. Of course, you’re an exception. I love you very much, little brother. Even though you’re most likely a scoundrel too.”
“Queen Eda is the most beautiful and strongest woman in the West. Her beauty and figure are something I can’t forget even in my dreams; they leave me breathless. It’s not just me; she’s the woman every man in the Western world dreams of. If you weren’t my beloved little brother, I would have definitely dueled you to win her affection.”
Hela took Shen Lang’s hand and began to drag him straight toward the seaside docks. Zhang Chunhua, Black Pearl, Lanfeng, Princess Dora, and the others followed them.
“Your Majesty! Your Highness, the Princess!”
It seemed Lanfeng recognized her as well, due to her strong resemblance to Jiang Li. Black Pearl trembled as she asked.
“Your Highness Hela, c-can I… come with you?”
Black Pearl also knew Hela. But she was too young to have ever met Jiang Li, and she didn’t even know that Jiang Li was the first leader of the Goru Gang. Black Pearl had always believed the first leader was Loki, and no one had ever even mentioned that Loki was from the East. However, even though Jiang Li was the first leader, it was the Pirate Empress Angela who had truly made the Goru Gang powerful; she was its true ruler. Jiang Li had left the fleet too soon. Thus, to Black Pearl, Hela was an absolute idol, someone who seemed to shine with a dazzling light.
“No, I don’t want to get involved with the Goru Gang anymore.”
Hela’s tone was extremely cold as she refused point-blank. Then, she took Shen Lang aboard a sailboat and set off for Fertility Island. She intended to help Queen Eda complete the reproduction ritual.
***
Fertility Island.
The reproduction ritual had long since ended, and all the Amazon warriors had departed, but Queen Eda still remained. Her tent stood alone on the island of saltpeter. She had waited for Shen Lang for over half a month. All men were liars. He had promised to come, but he hadn’t. Though the final deadline had passed, Queen Eda would continue to wait. She had already missed her fertility cycle, but she was doing this for more than just reproduction.
With a beautiful body curved like the mountains, she was an incredibly alluring sight standing on the island. She was the strongest woman in the entire Western world, the woman of everyone’s dreams. She gazed east, waiting for Shen Lang’s ship to appear. But then, a flash of light appeared before her eyes, and a boat materialized out of thin air. On the boat stood a man whose hair and beard were both white. It was that mysterious and strange Adolf, the powerful man who had appeared on a small boat amidst the swirling eyes of a white whale, the man with strange powers who had appeared when the Amazon Nation faced a fatal disaster.
Adolf spoke slowly.
“Queen Eda, kneel and pledge your loyalty to me. Are you waiting for that Eastern man, Shen Lang? No, that man is not worthy of being your man. I will give you two choices. Kneel and pledge your loyalty to me and become my woman… or die!”
What kind of person was Queen Eda of the Amazons? She was someone who started a fight without a single word, who would rather battle than speak. *Stop talking and fight!* That was her personality. As soon as she saw Adolf, still exuding a mysterious aura with his all-white hair and beard, she drew her greatsword without a second thought, shot out like a cannonball, and charged straight at him.
*Boom!*
A loud noise echoed. Of course, her speed wasn’t fast enough to create the sonic boom of breaking the sound barrier. However, she was so fast that the reactive force was immense, causing the massive rock she had been standing on to shatter.
*Crack!*
In an instant, she was before Adolf, bringing her greatsword down with immense force. The small boat he was on was instantly pulverized. But that wasn’t the end. Queen Eda didn’t stop at one blow; she swung her sword hundreds of times. Her sharp blade sliced violently through the air with a loud whoosh, and even the seawater was cut by her sword, momentarily parting like a great valley. Adolf’s small boat vanished like smoke, not a single intact piece to be found, a testament to Queen Eda’s incredible power.
But despite that explosive attack, just as before, Adolf’s white figure vanished. A moment later, he reappeared on the island of saltpeter, gazing at Queen Eda’s back with an appreciative look.
*As expected of the woman every man in the Western world dreams of. Strong and beautiful.*
Adolf smiled as he picked up a piece of saltpeter.
“This is a treasure. It should have remained hidden until someone who needed it found it. But you Amazons unexpectedly made this place your Fertility Island. Was it because this is white? If so, am I not white as well?”
Even Queen Eda, who had no interest in matters between men and women, understood his words. It was an insult and a provocation. But she was more concerned with the deeper meaning behind his words. She hadn’t known the use of this saltpeter, but she understood after listening to Shen Lang. It was an essential material for making explosives, and she had promised to give this island to him. But now, considering the meaning behind the other party’s words, it seemed he also knew the use of this material.
Queen Eda asked coldly, “Who are you?”
“I have already introduced myself. I am Adolf.”
He sighed and continued.
“I truly did not expect someone to cut in and save the Amazon Nation. What an outrageous act. Your Majesty the Queen, why have you set your heart on a man like Shen Lang? You couldn’t find a more vulgar man in this world.”
Queen Eda’s eyes were cold. She wouldn’t say that because she possessed great strength, she had come to like a wise man. Relationships between men and women were ideally complementary; a gentle woman might like a strong man, and the same was true if the roles were reversed. She suddenly spun around and, like a cannonball again, shot across the saltpeter island, wildly swinging the greatsword in her hand toward Adolf.
*Swish, swish, swish.*
This time, she slashed dozens of times in a single breath. Even a prehistoric dinosaur would have been butchered by Queen Eda. Her sword was incomparably ferocious. But Adolf’s shadow vanished once more. From beginning to end, he never used his hands, keeping them behind his back the entire time.
“Truly great strength. And a body of supreme beauty, truly something to desire even in dreams. Conquering a woman like you would bring an unparalleled sense of accomplishment.”
Adolf sighed, his gaze hot as he looked at Queen Eda’s back. Queen Eda slammed the greatsword in her hand onto the saltpeter on the ground.
*Shuk, shuk, shuk, shuk, shuk.*
In an instant, countless pieces of saltpeter were pulverized and shot toward Adolf like a torrential downpour. This time, Adolf didn’t dodge at all, but all the saltpeter fragments turned to dust an inch before they reached him. He remained motionless with his hands behind his back, his immortal-like demeanor even more pronounced.
Queen Eda’s eyes narrowed. The Adolf before her had certainly far exceeded her expectations. This was not a simple matter of whether his martial arts were strong or not; she couldn’t comprehend this situation. In terms of pure strength, she feared no one. Even in terms of speed, she believed no one in the entire Western world could compare to her. Taking a deep breath, Queen Eda shot forward once again, the greatsword in her hand flashing as she slashed wildly at the man before her.
