Squabbling Gods and the Dawn of Civilization Building
Let's get started right away.
What the hell kind of nonsense is this? That giant monster—the Adversary or whatever—that I just wiped out without even making one, and now it's my responsibility?
Anyway, if you're just feeding on the nutrients from living beings, why not turn an entire universe into a farm? Raise them up, absorb them, raise more, absorb more. From what I saw, in that universe where you named it Ubo-Sathla, they worship you as their creator god.
I asked out of curiosity, and got this:
Ah, yeah... I see... So you don't want to create lifeforms and feed on them with infinite energy, nor farm them. You just crave the taste of naturally born lifeforms from universes. That's what you're saying.
...No, I don't even have that kind of knowledge to hand over. It's exactly like you just said—just make a lifeform with real potential. Like how I made Yujin: immense mana reserves and magical talent, but unmanifested because it hasn't learned yet... something like that. Doesn't that feeling just hit you when you look at it, like "Yeah, this one's got it"?
You're a guy who feeds on the nutrients of universe lifeforms for fun, but you haven't researched that stuff? You're only interested in the taste of lifeforms, not really in studying them? Outer Gods like you guys are probably just born that way—ignoring fields they're not into. You have the info, but no drive to apply or adapt it.
If you shared knowledge with Nyarlathotep, who is interested in lifeforms, you wouldn't need my help. One guy's so obsessed he dissects races, the other's crazy for wild flavors. Don't you two match perfectly? Go into business together. Provide info to create beings with dominator potential without messing with universe wills—Nyarlathotep takes some for research, Ubo-Sathla eats the rest tasty-like.
...Nah, that'd end Yujin's sci-fi space opera early, so no good. As I was thinking that, I sensed a familiar presence approaching. Speak of the devil.
It was Nyarlathotep.
The moment they faced off, I instantly knew why they don't team up.
They clearly hated each other's guts. Man, they're growling like they're ready to kill. I wish they'd both just fuck off. I need to get back to my drama.
You crazy bastards. I'm no one's property!! Just all fuck off for real.
# In the end, after bickering forever without resolution, they went full-on fighting. Outer God battle? I got a bit curious and watched—it was a goddamn spectacle. Clash of concepts, or just straight-up gross as hell...
Something burst out wildly from Ubo-Sathla's wriggling single-cell body. Nyarlathotep's tentacles shot out to meet it. Crunch! Thud! Boom! Every body collision sparked and erased something in the void gaps—a whole universe.
Who else but Outer Gods? Each clash triggered Big Bangs. Universes born, then obliterated on the next hit. Hundreds, thousands of Big Bangs and collapses at once. Even the concept-less void warped, birthing changes. The twisted void churned, swallowing nearby universes into a cosmic-scale black hole.
A black hole so massive even planet-sized me, Nyarlathotep, and Ubo-Sathla looked like specks. We weren't affected, of course. But the floating universe-bubbles around us? Sucked right in.
Whoa, no, you lunatics! My Yujin sci-fi universe'll get dragged in and wiped too! I hurriedly sealed the black hole. Fixed the void's twist, and poof—gone. Seemed impossible at that scale, but easy enough. We're top-tier Outer Gods maintaining this size for convenience. We could probably go universe-sized if we wanted. But meh, too big, too annoying to sustain.
Anyway, if they keep scrapping, more hassles like this. They can't even erase each other no matter how hard they go.
I finally stepped in to sort it.
To Ubo-Sathla, I promised later help in exchange for sparing Yujin's sci-fi universe now—and any future ones I like. Honestly, I only care about fun ones; no reason to babysit others. This compromise should suffice. Plus, creating a universe-dominating archdemon? Kinda intriguing. Sounds fun, right?
Anyway, deal sealed with Ubo-Sathla. For Nyarlathotep:
Don't you dare try owning me. I'm not your lab rat.
Nyarlathotep apologized for her attitude. Ubo-Sathla seemed satisfied with my proposal too.
Whew... shibal, primordial origin beings since the dawn of time acting like elementary school kids fighting over toys. Real deal gods who could shatter multiverses if serious, throwing tantrums like brats. Fucking annoying.
Anyway, crisis averted. Sent Ubo-Sathla off with a future collab promise. Nyarlathotep left once he was gone—probably came just for that threat. Hated the guy already, figured he was poaching her stuff.
...Phew, finally sorted. Being an Outer God ain't all easy street. But meeting Ubo-Sathla sparked some interest: life and civilization creation. Not making an archdemon to rule universes or whatever.
More like the Rubaran tribe talk. Watching your created race build civilizations, growing into a galactic federation-spanning powerhouse? That's a full-on civ-building strategy sim! Like that old CivX in space. Expand planets and colonies with your race, unify galaxies and universe for science victory. Sounds hella fun.
Yujin's sci-fi drama's great, but civ sims are tempting too. ...What if my race hits hyper-advanced civ status, surpasses even the Rubarans, and takes over the federation? Super fun. Double win—screw over the annoying Ubo-Sathla too. Right?
His own race turned dud 'cause they wouldn't listen, despite his domination dreams. Getting pushed out by my newbie race later? He'd be pissed as hell. Perfect.
Second fun project locked in. Yujin vs. federation's still 10 years out... Plenty time to design a race. No biggie if something pops—I'll keep part of my consciousness on the screen.
...But my new race won't fuck up the timeline again, right? Eh, whatever. Might even interact with Yujin.
...Oh, shared-world drama and game, influencing each other? Heh, that's some retardedly awesome shit. Let's start right now.
