Prologue
In the vast cosmos, countless beings make their home. The arrogant Terra race, who once believed themselves the universe's sole intelligent lifeforms—calling themselves "humans" while sneering at all others as "aliens." The Rubaran tribe, possessors of an ultra-advanced civilization that kickstarted interstellar trade and galactic society with their unmatched scientific mastery. The Meias tribe, who wield powers drawn from a special energy that Terrans dismiss as "fantasy" or "magic"... Beyond them, the star-spanning cosmic society teems with an astonishing diversity of life.
And among them... there occasionally appear entities so utterly beyond mortal comprehension that even grasping their existence is impossible.
Cosmic society's intelligent beings dubbed them "Great Ones," "Gods," "Cthulhu," "Cosmic Gods," and a thousand other names besides. Yet the entities themselves never reveal their kind or their names. They simply... exist there.
Untouchable. Incomprehensible.
Eventually, people began calling these beings from beyond the universe—collectively—Outer Gods.
...No, fuck, so you're saying I've become one of those now?
Reincarnated into some StarCraft knockoff SF world was bullshit enough, but this... what the hell?
Whoa, check this out. The words are popping up like some fantasy game's system messages.
...Looks like I've been reborn as a cosmic horror entity in an SF universe.
