The Blackscale Tyrant's Rampage
After the whole Excalibur-wielding T-Rex versus bazooka-wielding Spino situation, once that guy had fallen, the others stood there stunned for a moment. Then, as if fury had finally caught up with them, they started shrieking at the top of their lungs.
“Ukkakkakka!!”
It was a raw, guttural scream that sounded exactly like a monkey’s cry. The fact that the laughter had finally drained from it pleased me more than I could say.
“They’re finally done laughing. That sound was getting on my nerves.”
Maybe they’d realized there was no point staying up in the trees anymore. One by one, they started climbing down. Thud. Thud.
Three Dirty Mongas took up position in front of what looked like the pack leader. The one that had been stuck in the dung pit finally dragged itself out and shuffled over to rejoin the group. The moment it did, the others panicked and bolted.
“Ukkakkakka!!” They even started throwing poop at it. Watching the whole thing, I almost felt sorry for the poor bastard on the receiving end.
Left standing there all alone, the wounded look on its face was almost too pathetic to watch.
“They throw poop at everyone else, but the second it gets on them they freak out and run. It’s kind of sad when you think about it.”
The tragic monga must have decided the whole reason it was being treated like this was my fault, because it started grinding its teeth. Shhhk— Its short, sharp breaths grew fiercer and fiercer. Then it charged, flinging dung everywhere as it ran.
The second I saw it, a cold sweat ran down my spine.
“I didn’t see this coming…”
How the hell was I supposed to hit that thing?
“Haa…”
I took a rough breath, then let out a slow sigh. Only then did my breathing finally settle back into its normal rhythm.
That had been dangerous. Seriously dangerous. Even back in my old world, it would have ranked pretty high on the list of close calls. The others were manageable, but the one covered head to toe in dung and going berserk was on another level. I’d done my best to avoid it and take out the rest first, but just dodging all the flying dung particles had been exhausting.
“If I ever get another Dirty Monga subjugation request, I swear I’ll become a dog instead.”
All in all, it was an experience I never wanted to repeat.
“Whew. Subjugation’s done, so let’s just carve them up and head back.”
“Absolutely not.”
I’d worked hard to avoid getting a single speck on me. There was no way I was going to willingly make myself filthy now.
I walked over to the biggest one—the apparent leader of the pack—and began carving. Just as the viewers had predicted, Dante’s Token was working perfectly. The quantity was higher, and the quality of the materials was excellent across the board.
“The token really does make a difference.”
My bag was already full of Dirty Monga materials. After confirming the token’s performance, I gave a satisfied nod.
“With this I can make some decent weapons.”

“Greatsword, right?”
“Thank you for the 1,000 won donation, ClubKing. Yeah, I’m thinking greatsword for now.”
“Maybe if I get tired of the greatsword later?”
ClubKing has donated 10,000 won
“Stick to greatsword only”
He seemed to think he could buy my decision with ten thousand won. Not a chance.
“No can do.”
ClubKing has donated 100,000 won
“Stick to greatsword only 2nd attempt”
A hundred thousand? Was he going to keep going?
“Sorry, but you can’t buy my heart with money.”
I looked at the chat with a flutter of excitement.
ClubKing has donated 1,000,000 won
“Stick to greatsword only 3rd attempt”
He actually did it.
“I’ll stick to the greatsword.”
It was simply too much money to refuse. But the situation quickly flipped again with another donation.
LongswordLover has donated 1,500,000 won
“But I want to see other weapons too?”
“Oh…”
On the way back to the village, the chat exploded as if the donors were competing to see who had deeper pockets. Stick to greatsword. No, we need to see other weapons too! Countless donations pushed past one another, stacking up until the total reached three million won.
Where the hell are they getting all this money?
I occasionally tossed fuel on the fire between the competing donors and quietly pocketed a rather nice profit in the process.
Time to treat myself to some proper meat.
Thanks to the capsule, I’d been surviving on cup ramen for a while. It had been a long, miserable time. But after seeing meaningful income come in over the past three days of streaming, I realized I could finally escape the cup ramen life.
Just as I was getting excited about giving my stomach a proper oil massage for the first time in ages—
Thud!Thud!!
I sensed something strange in the forest. The sound of crashing came from far away, accompanied by birds exploding into the sky. Then—
“Kuoaaaaargh!!”
A roar like something writhing in agony echoed through the trees.
“A territory dispute?”

“If I exaggerate a little, it feels like an Excalibur-wielding T-Rex fighting a bazooka-wielding Spino.”
It was the kind of absurd analogy that perfectly stimulated a man’s sense of romance. I was about to ask for the answer when—
Kwaaaang!!
A massive tree shattered into splinters as something charged straight at me. I twisted my body on reflex to dodge, but my mind was still stuck on the previous question.
So who wins?!
Before I could solve that eternal dilemma, the sudden intruder forced me to focus on the new threat.
Black-brown fur ran down its back. Black-iron scales that glinted like blades under the light. The creature that reminded me of a T-Rex bared brass-colored fangs and growled at me.
“You guys know this thing?”

“He is our eternal teacher who has always cherished and cared for us with love.”
While listening to the viewers’ explanations, I took a closer look at the creature. Thick streams of blood ran down its body. Deep gashes covered it in several places. The painful roar I’d heard earlier… it looked like the one suffering had been this very “Teacher Yan.”
Then whatever attacked it is probably still nearby.
I stared into the forest beyond where it had burst through. But there was no sign of another monster following.
“Really?”
I tossed my bag aside and gripped my greatsword. Just watching it drool while staring at me told me the viewers were right—it looked like it had a terrible personality. And historically, creatures with terrible personalities had always responded well to one thing.
A good beating.
“Since the materials are rolling in on their own, I should start thinking about what to make with them.”
At that moment the creature charged like it was trying to body-slam me. The motion reminded me of a iron mountain charge. I quickly dropped low and slipped between its legs.
Boom!!
It shot past me and smashed the tree behind me to pieces. For something that size, its destructive power was impressive.
If I got hit by that I’d be turned into minced meat, huh?
Of course, since this was a game, that wouldn’t actually happen.
“Krrraaarr!”
Apparently unhappy that I’d dodged so easily, it glared at me and swung its tail. I stepped lightly, dodging it without effort, then used the opening to rush in. My target was the injured leg. Since bigger monsters had fewer vulnerable spots, I figured I’d start by bringing its head down to my level.
“Mind lowering your head a bit?”
Crunch!
Maybe because of the wound, its knee buckled easily. I quickly drew the dagger from my thigh, stabbed it into the wound, and used it as a foothold to leap upward. Riding the recoil from its movement, I shot high into the air until I was eye-level with the beast.
Its eyes widened in shock when it saw me. It hurriedly tried to swell its throat to fire a breath attack, but it was already too late.
“Eyes up here.”
My greatsword, spinning with centrifugal force, slammed straight into its head.
Boom!!
With a heavy impact, the massive head slammed into the ground. Then—
Kwa-kwaang!!!
An explosion erupted from inside. Black smoke and flames burst from its mouth. The impact must have caused the breath to backfire and detonate inside its throat.
I landed lightly on the fallen creature’s back and checked its vitals. All signs of life had already stopped, probably from the consecutive shocks. The existing wounds had helped too.
Lucky break.
I sheathed my greatsword and spoke to the viewers.
“It died pretty quickly because it was already injured.”
At that moment, something glinted behind the fallen creature. A pure white light that looked completely out of place against its black-iron scales. I peered closer, then carefully picked it up.
…A crystal?
Why was this here?
While I was still wondering about the reason—
