Housewarming Sex?
"I have to head up soon since checkout's coming up, so make yourselves comfortable."
Checkout at this hotel was noon, and it was already 11:10. Packing my stuff and changing clothes would take time—it was pretty tight.
"Don't worry. I've already spoken to the hotel staff, so you can check out anytime today whenever it's convenient."
What? They have a feature like that? I shot him a puzzled look, wondering if hotels even did stuff like this.
The bodyguard standing beside him jumped in with an explanation.
"This is a hotel where the Old Man has invested a substantial amount."
Ah, so that's it—a major shareholder kind of vibe. It made sense; someone like him, a big shot in politics and business known as the Old Man, wouldn't just stay out of places like this. Still, it was kinda funny picturing him pulling stalker shit like this. "Understood," I said, but inside, I was thinking it was ridiculous that someone so powerful was reduced to this.
"Then I'll take my leave comfortably. I remember mentioning before that I refused the major shareholder position, so what brings you here this time?"
He'd shown up out of nowhere late at night without warning, barging in like he owned the place. Or dragging me out early in the morning. If he wasn't breaking down doors and just walking into people's rooms, that was lucky, I guess. The whole situation was absurd.
"I've come to make the same proposal again."
"I'm not one to revisit something I've already turned down once."
"Even so, think it over. I really can't see it working with anyone but you."
What the hell kind of line is that? "That choice of words is weird! I refuse. Absolutely not."
I hated his weird phrasing too. "I haven't clung to someone like this in ages. That's how special you are."
"No thanks, I don't wanna be special to you. Having every move watched feels shitty enough."
He was older, so I kept my tone polite out of respect, but the point was clear: Stop the surveillance. I fucking hate you, so get lost.
The initial offer was fine. Even the car—okay, whatever. I'd accepted it. But then it was nonstop monitoring, monitoring, monitoring. How could anyone see that in a good light? The idea of someone I didn't even like watching me all day was creepy no matter how I spun it.
"If I've upset you, I apologize."
"No need for apologies. Just stop. If you're doing this because I took the car as payment or whatever, take it back."
The car was whatever—nice to have, but I didn't need it desperately. No license yet anyway, and calling a driver every time was a hassle.
"No, that was truly just a gift. Don't feel burdened."
Fuck no. You're the one who put me in this position where it feels burdensome! Do people who only hang out at the top lose the ability to think from someone else's perspective? Do their heads just turn to mush, and they only consider themselves?
"You're already plenty burdensome."
I shot back without yielding an inch, but his expression didn't change. From start to finish, that same look of pure amusement. That pissed me off even more. I'd rather he got offended or snapped at me like, "Who does this kid think he is?"—that would feel less gross.
At least that would mean I'd landed a hit. But now? Zero impact on that smug face. I hated it.
"I figured you wouldn't be easy to sway, so I've prepared my ace in the hole."
Ace card? "Bring her in."
Bring who? My mind raced to Yoonah or Juyeon—Don't tell me he's dragging them here and threatening to kill them if I don't agree, like some movie plot?
As if sensing my unease—or maybe not—the bodyguard vanished outside in a flash.
"You seemed to like my bodyguard a bit, didn't you?"
"What? Well, yeah, he helped me out once before."
"That was just him doing his job."
Man, this guy was impossible to talk to. He looked away with a sour expression, staring off somewhere else.
That's when the bodyguard returned—with a woman in tow.
"Every man loves a pretty girl, right? You too, no?"
Well, yeah—a busty beauty like Shin Juyeon or Yoonah? Hell yes. Yoonah wasn't that stacked, but still.
"Who hates pretty girls?"
"Exactly. So I brought her to introduce you. She's someone dear to me."
Dear to him? "Hello, I'm Kang Hyeonseo."
A gracefully beautiful woman bowed demurely. She was even wearing a hanbok. This old man's got some unique tastes, dressing her up like that.
"So, what, you're introducing her? For what?"
I had no clue, so I just asked.
