Burning Island Raid (3)
Kang Hyuk slipped into the club and blended into the panicked crowd, calmly scanning the chaos around him. Where the hell is Prince?
As he looked around, a Gangryonghoe member charged at him with a knife. Kang Hyuk stepped back, dodged, and put a bullet through the man's thigh.
"Aaaagh!"
The man staggered with a scream. Kang Hyuk closed the distance, pressed the suppressor against his chest, and fired twice more, killing him instantly. The club was so loud that no one noticed the silenced shots.
I brought the gun because of the intel that Burning Island guys were armed, but… no one here is using firearms. Only the executives?
He tucked the pistol away. Better save the bullets for anyone who actually has a gun. Firing too much will draw attention.
Kang Hyuk drew the SRK SK5 knife from his side and began cutting down anyone who rushed him with quick, efficient movements while still searching for Jaehyuk. He caught no sign of him. Maybe he went upstairs?
After slitting the throat of a guard swinging a sashimi knife at him, he headed to the second floor.
There he found Park Jaehyuk, Lee Jeonghan, and Kang Jihun locked in a fierce battle with the guards. Thought so. He was up here. But wait…?
The Jaehyuk he saw now was nothing like the high-schooler Kang Hyuk had observed only a month earlier while tailing his family. That boy, whose fights had been limited to schoolyard brawls, was now swinging a blade through a brutal gang war, slaughtering enemies without hesitation. His eyes showed not a flicker of doubt as he killed a guard begging for mercy.
How can someone change this much in an instant…? Must be because of what happened to his little sister.
A guard lunged at Kang Hyuk with another sashimi knife. He sidestepped, slashed the man's arm and throat in one fluid motion, then melted back into the crowd to keep watching Jaehyuk.
On the second floor, Jaehyuk, Jeonghan, and Jihun were cutting through the guards together. Jihun swung a baseball bat he had picked up, while Jeonghan used a short steel pipe.
"This is fucking endless…" Jihun complained after knocking one guard unconscious.
Jeonghan dropped another with a pipe strike to the neck. "Shouldn't we find Victory first?"
"Yeah, but we don't know where that bastard is."
Jihun dodged an incoming guard and drove a kick into the man's liver. "Kuhh…!"
Once the guard was down, Jihun grabbed him by the hair. "Hey! Where's Lee Seunghun?! Where the fuck is Victory?!"
"Huuuh…! What the hell are you—"
Jihun slammed the guard's head into the wall. Jeonghan handled the others trying to flank them. Jihun then seized the man by the crotch and squeezed hard. "Tell me where Victory is, you piece of shit!"
The guard, face twisted in panic, blurted out, "VIP room! He was in the VIP room but left! So let go—!"
Jihun showed no mercy. With a sickening pop, he crushed the man's testicles. The guard screamed and collapsed, writhing.
"VIP room…?" Jihun stared at his bloodied right hand, then clenched it into a fist as if imagining crushing Lee Seunghun the same way.
He approached Jeonghan, who was still swinging the pipe. "Lee Jeonghan. Victory's in the VIP room. Let's go."
"Got it. Jaehyuk!"
Jaehyuk turned at the call. Jeonghan relayed the information. "Lee Seunghun's in the VIP room. Let's move."
"Understood."
The three friends fought their way toward the VIP room, dropping every guard in their path.
Inside the VIP room, the guests sat frozen, unsure what was happening outside. Yoo Kyung-hwan stood up, straightening his clothes. "Looks like things are getting ugly out there. We should leave."
Suddenly, five or six bloodied guards burst in, pursued by several Gangryonghoe members who immediately began hacking them apart.
"What the hell?!"
"Kyaaaah!"
"S-somebody help!"
The guests—including Yoo Kyung-hwan, Nam Ji-ho, Jung Jinyong, and Choi Junghoon—along with the sober hostesses, panicked and fled without even fixing their clothes, shoving past the carnage.
Meanwhile, Jaehyuk, Jihun, and Jeonghan continued smashing through the guards blocking their way. Jihun pulled out his phone and sent messages to Soo-hyuk and Kang-wook.
Jihun kept swinging the bat, neutralizing every guard who came at him.
During the melee, a guard lunged at Jeonghan with a sashimi knife. Jeonghan twisted aside, the blade grazing his neck. "Khh…!"
The attacker spun the knife downward. "Pretty fast. You dodged that?"
[Lee Kyungchul. Manager of Burning Island]
Jaehyuk glared at Kyungchul, knife in hand. Jeonghan spoke up. "Jaehyuk, you go to the VIP room. I'll handle this guy."
"You sure?"
Jeonghan wasn't confident. Jaehyuk and Jihun both outclassed him in combat, and he had no special skills. Still, someone had to hold the line so Jaehyuk could reach the target quickly.
Jaehyuk glanced at Jihun, who was also tied down, and made his decision. He reversed his grip on the knife and handed it to Jeonghan. "Use this."
"A knife? You want me to use this?"
"Better than nothing. These guys will hesitate if you swing it around."
"But he's got a knife too…"
"Trust your instincts. Just like when you were swinging the pipe."
Jaehyuk headed for the VIP room. Kyungchul tried to intercept him, but Jeonghan swung the knife, forcing him back.
"Oh-ho. Look at this little shit already swinging a blade at adults?"
Jeonghan pointed the knife at him. "Act like an adult first, you fucking bastard."
They clashed, steel ringing as they traded slashes. Kyungchul blocked or dodged most attacks, but Jeonghan's blade nicked his side and arm. Kyungchul retreated, eyeing the cuts. This kid's fast. No killing intent, but the speed is dangerous. If those strikes had been meant to kill…
A bead of cold sweat ran down his back. Doesn't matter. He'll die here before he gets any stronger.
Confident again, Kyungchul charged back in.
At that same moment, Jung Jinyong was fleeing in blind panic through the carnage. Two fighters—a Gangryonghoe member and a Burning Island guard—crashed into his path, grappling. The Gangryonghoe man, pinned underneath, grabbed the guard's head and gouged out his left eye with a thumb.
"Aaaagh!"
He then pulled a jackknife and stabbed the screaming guard repeatedly in the stomach. Jinyong stumbled backward and fell, then crawled away on all fours, desperate to escape the bloodbath.
Everywhere, Gangryonghoe members and Burning Island guards tore into each other.
"Kill them all, you bastards!"
"Aaaagh!"
"My arm…! My arm…!"
"Kuhh…!"
What the fuck is all this…? What the hell is happening…?
Someone stepped in front of him. It was Park Jaehyuk, covered in blood and gripping a bloodied axe. Jaehyuk's breathing was ragged as he stared down at Jinyong, remembering the chat logs from the phone he had taken at the illegal brothel.
[I got VIP seats at Victory's concert. How about it?]
[Pretty hot, right? lol]
[She's got a nice midsection, looks fun to squeeze]
[Can't wait to see her squirt lololol]
[She looks way too mature for her age, it's weirdly hot]
[I already sent people to grab her, so get ready to enjoy her later ^^]
[I get first taste, got it??]
The filthy messages filled Jaehyuk's mind. All he could think about was killing the terrified Jung Jinyong cowering before him. He tightened his grip on the axe and charged, eyes blazing with murderous intent.
"Huuuuaaagh!!! Help! Somebody fucking help me!!!"
Just as Jaehyuk reached him, Song Taewon stepped in with a machete, blocking the strike. Jaehyuk retreated a step, eyes locked on the new threat.
"Move. Or I'll kill you too."
Taewon smirked. "Still wet behind the ears and already causing trouble? You're the one who's gonna die."
[Song Taewon. Manager of Burning Island]
Jinyong was still crawling away. Jaehyuk's gaze returned to Taewon, cold and lethal. He raised the axe and lunged. Taewon swung the machete in return. Their blades met in a shower of sparks, the duel beginning in earnest.
