Wet Dream
Every morning when he opened his eyes, the maid was already at his side.
"Good morning, Master."
"Morning, Miss Penelope."
It had been a little awkward at first, but as the days went by her presence grew steadily more familiar. He would exchange greetings with her, eat the breakfast she prepared, put on the clothes she had washed, and head out to the guild.
Fortunately, she never followed him there. She had a clear sense of what a maid's duties did and did not include.
If she'd started tagging along spouting nonsense about being a super maid, that would've been a real problem.
In certain books, maids were portrayed as the ultimate all-purpose superhumans — invincible, flawless, capable of anything. But if someone were truly that good at both fighting and housework, why on earth would they bother being a maid? It wasn't exactly a hobby.
"Ah, Evan! Good morning!"
"Good morning."
At the guild, Rebecca — forever beaming — greeted him with her usual bright smile. Evan headed into the private office with her, traded a bit of small talk, and eventually steered the conversation toward requests.
That had become his routine lately. Face-to-face with a woman first thing in the morning, that sort of thing…
Once again, Rebecca managed his optimal route for the day. Evan filed the order of his missions away in his head and rose from his seat.
"Oh, right. Miss Rebecca."
"Yes? What is it?"
"What's good for a cold?"
"—You've caught a cold!? Then you need to rest! This is no time to be taking requests!"
"Ah, no. Not me. I think my maid has one."
Rebecca let out a faint sigh at the news. If the maid were to pass a cold on to Evan, that would be an even bigger problem.
"Oh dear, that's not good. I'll have some medicine sent to your house."
"Ah, thank you. Though it seems pretty severe. She's been sick every single day."
"…Every day?"
"Yes. Our rooms are right next to each other, so I can hear everything. Every night, I hear her groaning and moaning through the wall."
"Evan… that isn't a cold…"
Evan tilted his head as if to ask what the problem was. Rebecca found herself at a complete loss for words.
He was young, and he had come from a remote countryside with nothing around — but she had never imagined it would be this bad.
"…Evan. When you finish your missions today, don't leave right away. Stay a while. Understood?"
"Huh? Why all of a sudden?"
"I'll explain when you get back. Just stay."
Startled by the forcefulness in Rebecca's tone, Evan nodded and left the guild. And when he returned from his requests — Evan discovered an entirely new world.
"I-I'm home…"
"Welcome back, Master — did you bathe outside?"
"Ah, yes."
"I see…"
At Evan's admission that he had washed up before coming home, Penelope's face crumpled as though the world itself had collapsed. But only for a moment. A maid had no business freely showing her emotions in front of her master.
Her expression snapped back to neutral — and then she noticed that Evan's face was redder than usual.
"Are you unwell, Master?"
She leaned in naturally, pressing her forehead to his. Watching Evan flush even deeper, Penelope grew serious.
"This is bad. You have quite a fever. We must summon a priest at once…"
"Ah, no! It's not a cold, so there's no need—!"
"Absolutely not. You are a treasure of this nation, Master. Even the smallest ailment cannot be taken lightly. I will call a priest."
In the end, Penelope forced the issue and summoned a priest. The man who came running in the middle of the night examined Evan, then tilted his head.
"Doesn't seem to be anything serious… I've offered a prayer just in case."
"Thank you, Father. This is for your trouble."
"May the gods always watch over you both."
Penelope handed the priest a thick stack of bills, then turned back to Evan with a sigh of relief that nothing was wrong.
If there was nothing wrong with him, why would his face be that red?
She grasped the cause in an instant. Dropping her gaze, she murmured,
"…Tonight's dinner will be stir-fried orc chives."
"Huh? Oh. Sure, whatever you like."
"Please wait a moment."
Watching Penelope disappear into the house, Evan let out a long, heavy sigh. The glimpse of her cleavage when she had bowed her head. The distinctly feminine scent that had washed over him.
Until yesterday, an encounter like that would have left his heart racing just a little. Not anymore. Not after the crash course in sex education Rebecca had given him.
No way… how can something like that even exist?
The knowledge Rebecca had shared, the videos she had shown him — all of it had been far too stimulating and shocking for someone as sexually ignorant as Evan.
Holding hands and sleeping together wasn't "sharing a bed"? Holding hands and sleeping didn't make a baby?
And the real act of intercourse was… putting that indescribably grotesque thing into a woman's… there?
I'm in trouble… I thought I'd finally calmed down lately…
That damn sex education had thrown his mind into chaos all over again. This was bad. Extremely bad.
Evan was clutching his head and groaning when Penelope returned to call him for dinner, the cooking finished.
"Master? The meal is ready."
"Ah, yes. Coming…"
Throughout the entire meal, Evan kept stealing glances at Penelope. Part of it was the elegant way she ate, like a noble young lady — his eyes were drawn to her almost involuntarily. But more than that, the problem was her maid uniform, still absurdly short.
He could barely tear his eyes away. He finished the meal in a daze, more picking at his food than eating it, and crawled into bed — only to discover that his lower abdomen was swelling with maddening intensity, with no intention of settling down.
What is this now…
He knew what it was called and why it happened — he had learned that much today. But why it refused to subside even when the situation was completely wrong for it, he had no idea.
Something similar happened in the mornings, but that usually settled down in the short trip to and from the bathroom.
—Knock knock.
"Master, may I come in?"
"…Miss Penelope?"
And then, out of nowhere, Penelope came to his room. Evan propped himself up on his elbows to greet her — and the moment he saw what she was wearing, he sucked in a sharp breath.
She was dressed in a negligee not unlike the one Psyche of Valkyrie had worn back in the Royal Capital. For some reason she was shrinking into herself as she approached him.
"I'm truly sorry, but… I'm frightened of sleeping alone at night. Would it be all right if I slept with you, Master?"
"…You managed fine on your own until yesterday."
"I've reached my limit…"
No man could turn away a tearful, terrified woman. Especially not when that woman was a beautiful one with a generous chest.
Evan nodded as if he had no choice. Seeing him agree, Penelope's face bloomed into a radiant smile, and she slipped straight into the bed.
The heat of her skin seeping through the impossibly thin nightclothes. Evan felt his lower half swell even further and turned his back to her.
"Master — do you dislike being with me…?"
"Ehk—!?"
The instant he turned, Penelope naturally wrapped her arms around his back and whispered into his ear.
Her soft breasts pressed against his back. A sweet voice flowing along the shell of his ear. Evan felt himself trembling with excitement from head to toe.
If he moved even a little, something was going to explode.
"I-It's not that I dislike it…"
"Then why are you turning your back to me…?"
"Well, that's because…"
"If you don't dislike it, then show me your face, Master."
Mas-ter.
Each syllable crossed his eardrums and branded itself into his brain. Before he knew it, Evan had turned around to face Penelope head-on.
Even from a distance her body had been almost violently alluring. At arm's length, it was unbearably seductive.
The video he had watched earlier kept replaying in his mind. The man and woman in it transformed into himself and Penelope, and the imagination went somewhere thoroughly indecent…
Sliiiip—.
"Master. Would it be all right if I dared to hold you while we sleep?"
"Y-Yeees? No, I mean, that's…"
"I'm simply too frightened."
"You don't look frightened at all…"
"Pardon the liberty."
With that, Penelope swung a leg over and coiled it around his thigh. She slipped an arm under his armpit as well, embracing him like a doll, and cradled his face against her cleavage as she whispered,
"Please tell me if you're uncomfortable…"
"I-I'm fiiine…"
"Yeees— then."
Twitch, twitch—!
Trapped in Penelope's embrace, Evan froze solid as a stone. Every time she made some inexplicable little movement, his body jerked like a fish thrashing on dry land.
By the time morning arrived—
Evan woke from a sleep he hadn't even noticed falling into, and realized his pants were damp.
Oh god. Oh god…
Feeling the sticky wetness of some liquid that was definitely not urine soaking his lower half, Evan was seized by a crushing wave of shame.
"Good morning, Master."
"G-Good morning, Miss Penelope…"
"…Your legs are damp. You must have sweated a great deal."
"Ah, aaaah— th-that's, uh."
Penelope looked at him with a knowing, utterly captivating expression. The moment he saw that face, Evan felt his own begin to burn.
He just wanted to die.
Having finished his bath first thing in the morning, Evan returned to find Penelope waiting with breakfast already prepared. He deliberately turned his head away.
Watching him flush and look aside, Penelope regarded him with an almost fond amusement. Then she set the dishes in front of him and asked,
"What does your schedule look like today?"
"Same as usual…"
"I see."
Everything was the same as always — if you ignored what had happened last night.
If the same thing happened again tonight, his heart would probably burst and kill him.
With that thought, Evan finished his breakfast praying that today, of all days, he might get some rest.
—Pardon the intrusion!
Just as he was getting ready to leave for the guild after breakfast, a sudden voice from outside drew Evan to the front door.
Standing at the gate was a maid in a uniform that covered her all the way down to the ankles. The moment she saw Evan, she bowed at the waist.
"N-Nice to meet you! My name is Anya, and I'll be taking over the household duties at this estate starting today!"
"…A maid?"
"Yes, sir! His Majesty the Blue King sent me!"
Evan tilted his head at that, looking puzzled.
"But I already have a maid."
"Huh? That can't be…"
Watching Anya tilt her head in genuine confusion, Evan turned back toward the house on a sudden suspicion and looked at Penelope.
Penelope, who had been casually gathering her things, spotted the maid at the front gate — and a sly smile curved her lips.
"Oh dear. I've been found out."
