A Camera Angle Too Perfect
Minji couldn’t hold it in any longer. “She’ll be fine, right? She has to be. She really has to be, doesn’t she?” She snatched up the camera in a panic, scanning it frantically for any signs of damage.
The viewers had been treated to a free amusement-park ride thanks to her, but unfortunately their enthusiastic gratitude never reached Minji.
“It looks fine from the outside… This is still broadcasting properly, right?”
One by one, viewers who couldn’t overcome the dizziness began to drop out—until suddenly the spinning world came to a halt. The lens now framed Minji’s face, neatly hidden beneath her helmet. She was the kind of person who never thought ahead, yet in moments like this her preparedness was strangely flawless. The tinted visor completely obscured her face, so at least that part of her “perfect preparation” had worked.
Thanks to that, Suha, who had been watching the stream from the parking lot, felt a headache coming on. Should she barge into the room right now? Minji was still stomping around in a panic, worried the camera might be broken. In the end, only the viewers got to freely admire her dangerously attractive figure.
“Hmm, I think it fell over this way…”
Whether the camera was fine or not, Minji’s antics continued without pause. She tilted the lens downward to check where it had hit the floor. And then—
The center of the lens was now aimed directly at Minji’s chest. The broadcast screen proudly displayed the most beautiful straight line in the world. Of all the angles, this one was pure luck for the viewers and pure misfortune for Suha. Minji, of course, was excluded from that equation. She treated the head on her shoulders like mere decoration anyway, so luck or misfortune meant nothing to her.
Buzz! Buzz!
“Huh? Just a second, everyone…”
It was unfortunate for the viewers, but Suha’s frantic call brought their fun to an end.
“Hey, you crazy girl! The camera! The camera!!”
“S-sorry… I’ll definitely pay for the camera…”
“That’s not the problem! Your chest—your chest is showing on the camera right now!”
“Oh, really?”
“Not ‘oh really’!”
Even though she could only hear Suha’s voice, Minji somehow imagined her friend pounding her own chest in frustration. Suha’s chest was smaller than Minji’s but still ample enough; instead of thunderous pounding it would be more like soft patting.
“Is the stream still going okay?”
“…It’s going fine. More importantly, you never said you’d be wearing a helmet. Weren’t you supposed to wear a mask?”
“I was going to, but then I thought my reflection might show up somewhere like a mirror. The strap just couldn’t hold, though.”
“Of course it couldn’t… Whatever. Since it’s already like this, why don’t you just hold the camera? The strap’s already broken anyway.”
“I was going to. Let me just continue the stream first. People are waiting.”
“Fine. Call me right away if anything happens.”
And so the stream resumed.
“Ahem. Anyway, there was a minor issue, but let’s get the broadcast going again, everyone.”
Minji hadn’t intended it, but the recent incident had instantly skyrocketed her popularity. Two days in a row without any notice? Normally that would spark outrage, but the moment viewers saw that beautiful straight line, all complaints melted away. Their minds were now filled with nothing but the desire to see that perfect line again. In simpler terms, they were behaving nicely just to catch another glimpse of her cleavage. It was truly a case of “the streamer and the viewers were made for each other.”
“First of all… ta-da! Ias sent me a custom PC! The box is pretty big, right?”
With an exaggerated gesture, Minji pointed at the large delivery box on the floor. Considering her youthful voice and figure, she looked like an adorable girl who could easily charm any man—except for the person inside that body.
“The performance is one thing, but I heard the design is decorated with Ias’s main characters. I’m really curious which character mine will be.”
The chat was filled with “Why is this girl acting like this?” but Minji paid no attention and kept the stream going. She couldn’t see the chat because of the helmet anyway, so it wouldn’t have mattered even if she could.
She sliced through the tape with a cutter knife and tore the box open. Inside was another box with the words “Thank you always” printed in large letters.
“It says ‘thank you always.’ That must mean they’re going to show sincere appreciation with this balance patch, right?”
Of course not.
The developers had just been about to catch their breath when she dumped another massive homework assignment on them, but that was none of the viewers’ concern. Even if Minji knew, she’d probably just think, “If you don’t like it, make a better game.”
“Alright, let’s skip the small talk and reveal it right away. If I said ‘I’ll reveal it in 60 seconds’ or played a paid ad, my popularity would probably plummet, right?”
Of course it would. Even though Minji couldn’t see the chat, she wasn’t the type to deliberately provoke the audience. One of her many flaws was being both slow-witted and quick-tempered. Without Suha, Minji honestly had no idea how she had managed to establish herself as a streamer at all. She really ought to be grateful to Suha every single day.
“Let’s see… First, there’s bubble wrap inside the box. Just a moment, I’m going to pop a few of these.”
After happily popping the bubble wrap, Minji lifted the contents of the box. “Ooh.”
A custom PC designed around the new raid boss, Bolekia, was revealed.
“Oh, it’s Bolekia. There’s even a drawing here. Is this the sword aura effect? Wow, amazing.”
This time her excitement was genuine, not awkward acting. The dark black atmosphere unique to Bolekia combined with the contradictory bright golden sword aura created an impressive black-and-gold design. The image showed Bolekia swinging his sword, with golden energy trailing from the blade. She had heard that the lights would turn on once the cables were connected and powered up, and her heart was already pounding. As a gamer, she simply couldn’t resist a computer decorated with a character from the game she loved.
“This part is designed like this, and—ah, I can’t hold back. Everyone, can I just plug it in right now? I really want to connect it and see.”
If Minji had been a streamer with more experience, she would have known that plugging the PC in right away was a rookie mistake. Once the cables were connected, the unboxing content would essentially be over. Unfortunately, this girl was far from being a professional broadcaster. How could she possibly resist the golden glow that would appear the moment she connected the cables?
“Ah, I can’t hold back. I’m sorry, everyone. The rest of the design details will probably be reviewed by other streamers later. I’m going to connect it right now!”
With that, Minji began pushing the PC case toward the desk with one hand while holding the camera in the other, struggling like a one-armed person.
“Ah, this isn’t working.”
Then an idea struck her. Wouldn’t it be better to just fix the camera in one spot and use both hands? As usual, Minji didn’t think too deeply about it. She immediately set the camera down on the floor and aimed the lens toward the desk where she would connect the PC.
“Can you hear me, everyone? It’s really hard to do with one hand, so… I’ll just leave it like this. Is that okay?”
Asking if it was okay while not even looking at the chat was pointless, but—
Well, since the viewers liked it, it was probably fine. Someone stuck in the parking lot was anxiously chewing their nails, but Minji didn’t care.
“Alright, let’s see…”
With one more hand free, Minji felt much more comfortable. She picked up the PC case and moved it, then crouched down to connect the cables under the desk. As everyone knows, the standard place for a PC case is under the desk. Since the ports are on the back, you essentially have to bend over and crawl halfway under the desk to plug anything in. Which meant—
The broadcast screen now clearly showed Minji’s back view—on all fours like a cat, struggling and grunting with her back to the camera.
“Damn it, why is this so complicated…”
Thud!
“Ow, my head… I should’ve checked first. It’s more complicated than I thought.”
Even then the cables wouldn’t connect properly, so Minji kept wriggling under the desk. She thought she was just moving a little, but the view on screen was… less dramatic than her chest, sure, but still plenty eye-catching with her large lower body shaking back and forth. Any man watching would find it quite embarrassing.
The sudden superchat made the chat’s firepower calm down a little. There might have been another reason for the sudden quiet, but that would be rude to Minji, so let’s leave it at that.
Buzz! Buzz!
From the parking lot: “This crazy… crazy girl… she really doesn’t know how scary the world is…!” Suha kept calling, but Minji, completely absorbed in connecting the cables, didn’t hear the vibration. Once again, it was good news for the viewers and bad news for Suha.
And the person who caused this situation—
“Done!”
—was still focused on connecting the cables, as carefree as ever.
