Streamer Lene and VTuber Lene Are Different People!
“No, everyone…. L-look at this….”
For some reason my followers kept insisting I hadn’t announced the stream, so I decided to show them the undeniable proof.
“I definitely posted it, right…?”
I learned this while researching VTubers last time—most of them use Twitter as their main way to communicate with fans. That’s why I went through the trouble of making an account and starting to post. Yet here they were, blaming me for something they’d simply never bothered to check.
“Wh-what’s a gallery…? I-I don’t really know much about the internet….”
Even when they tried to provoke me like that, it didn’t work. Because Streamer Lene and VTuber Lene are completely different people….
“And didn’t I… mention Twitter during my debut stream…?”
Why were they all acting like this was the first time they’d ever heard it?
“That can’t be…”
Right after starting my second broadcast as a VTuber, the first thing I did was check the VOD of my debut.
“…Huh. It really isn’t there?”
Just as my followers said, I had never once mentioned Twitter during the debut stream.
“Ugh…”
My face burned all the way to the tips of my ears. Just like during the Albion raid last time, I’d made another ridiculous mistake. But everyone makes mistakes. Still, after only two slip-ups they were calling me an idiot, an airhead… The chat window was flooded with these baseless accusations.
The worst part was that I had given them the perfect ammunition myself.
“I-I’m not an idiot… It was just a one-time mistake this time…”
All I could do was timidly offer this weak counterargument.
But even my counterarguments weren’t landing anymore. Why was the world so strict with me…?
“Haa…”
Anyway, what was done was done. Regretting it now wouldn’t change anything. All I could do was prove myself from this point forward. After all, I had always proven myself through results no matter what absurd accusations were thrown at me. It had been the same with streaming, and even back in my AOS days the one who turned out to be right was me. This time too, I would thoroughly refute this ridiculous claim that I was an idiot.
Conveniently, one of the games I had prepared for today was perfect for proving exactly that.
“The conversation suddenly went somewhere strange…. Let’s get back on topic. I have some games prepared for today…”
“O-other streamers’ or other VTubers’ stories are strictly forbidden….”
“Anyway, the first game I prepared for today is…”
I launched one of the games I had readied for today.
Common Sense Quiz
The moment I revealed the game I had prepared, a flood of comments suggesting I play something else poured in. Of course I understood why. They thought there was no way someone who made the kind of mistake I just did could possibly score well on a quiz like this.
But I was going to prove it. That the Twitter incident earlier was nothing more than a simple mistake.
“Everyone. My knowledge might be a little… or rather, just a tiny bit lacking….”
“But I’ll prove right now that lacking knowledge and being an idiot are two completely different things….”
With that, I pressed the start button.
We have gathered common sense questions from various fields. There are no particularly difficult problems.
10 Questions | 20 Questions | 30 Questions | 40 Questions | 50 Questions
“Should we do about thirty questions…?”
“Th-this is my first time…. Anyway, this should be easy enough to get everything right without any prior study…”
It literally says right there that there are no particularly difficult problems. People in chat who had tried it were also saying it was easy. There was no need to look at the questions beforehand.
“Then shall we go for over eighty percent correct…? If I succeed, I’ll change the stream title…”
“Hmph. I’m going for eighty percent. I’m not an idiot, you know…?”
“J-just watch carefully, everyone…!”
After grinding my teeth at the endless provocations from my followers, I pressed the thirty-question button.
What is the name of the Joseon king who created the Korean alphabet?
“Hmph. Easy. It’s King Sejong, of course…?”
“Wh-what’s a given name…?”
“…Ah. You mean King Sejong’s real name? Um. I-I actually know it… but I need to focus on the game right now….”
I was Korean in my previous life after all. There was no way I wouldn’t know that….
No. I really do know it. I just can’t remember it right this second…. It’s the same as how even simple multiplication tables can slip your mind when you’re suddenly asked.
“Anyway, let’s move on…”
When I typed “King Sejong” into the answer box, the word “Correct” appeared. Then we moved on to the next question.
When the three sides of a right triangle are a, b, and c, and the angle between sides a and b is a right angle (meaning c is the hypotenuse), the theorem that states a² + b² = c² is known by what name?
This question was about mathematics.
“I know this one…!”
Even though I missed most of middle school in my previous life, I did occasionally attend class. And this was exactly the formula I learned in math class. Its name was definitely…
“Py, pyth, py, py, pyth, pythag…”
“Py, Peter, Peter Pan’s theorem…!”
Peter Pan's Theorem
Pythagorean Theorem
“Eh?”
