Chapter 130: The 2nd Floor
Chapter 130: The 2nd Floor
After the Sand Worm attack, no other monsters appeared that night.
Thanks to the ample effects of Healing Sex and a full night's sleep, Guwon woke up the next morning overflowing with energy, so much so that it was hard to believe he'd spent the night in a dungeon standing watch.
Healing Sex really is the best. It would be amazing if I could do it every night in the dungeon, too.
That was just wishful thinking, though.
The first thing Guwon did after waking up was look for Sara.
“Sara. Sleep well?”
“Yes.”
Sara’s expression was so nonchalant that it made last night feel like a dream.
Is she being careful so Diana and Leia don’t find out?
We weren’t exactly dating, so I guess it couldn’t be helped, but after such a sweet atmosphere last night, her cool reaction felt a little lonely.
“Sorry about last night. I should have stood watch.”
“It’s fine. It was my turn anyway. Besides, I also benefited from the Healing Sex. I feel completely refreshed.”
Sara said it casually.
I was nothing but grateful. Besides, ever since I realized her feelings for me, her already pretty face looked even more beautiful, which was becoming a problem.
“Still, what bad luck. For a monster to show up right at that moment. And then nothing appeared for the rest of the night.”
“No. A few more came.”
“What? But the alarm…”
“I took care of them before they got within the alarm’s range.”
As she spoke, Sara handed Guwon a few magic stones.
“What are you two whispering about so early in the morning?”
“Ah, no. I was just asking Sara how strange it was that we were only attacked once in such an open area. But she said there were a few more attacks during her watch.”
“What’s the big deal? A few showed up when I was on watch, too. I dealt with them all before the alarm went off, of course.”
Diana pointed a finger to one side.
A few monster corpses were scattered about.
“…And the magic stones?”
“This great mage doesn’t carry things like daggers!”
Diana puffed out her chest and declared proudly.
Is that something to be proud of?
“Don’t puff out a chest you don’t have and act so shameless.”
“I-It’s there! It’s definitely there! Once this body grows up…” “And right now?”
“E-Eek!”
When Guwon asked nonchalantly, Diana, at a loss for words, started patting his chest with her fists.
You can hit me all you want, it’s not going to hurt.
She really was fun to tease.
If she just acted cool about it, I’d get bored and stop, especially since she’ll have an incredible figure when she grows up, and she’s already got a decent one now.
But for someone so old, she had surprisingly little immunity to this kind of teasing, which made me want to poke fun at her whenever I got the chance.
Still, the fact that monsters had attacked during both Sara’s and Diana’s watches meant…
Guwon ignored Diana, who was diligently attacking him with her two fists, and turned to Leia.
“Leia, were there any attacks during your watch?”
“No. There weren’t any when I was on watch.”
So, the monsters had only attacked during the watches of the last two.
To put it simply, does this mean that clearing out all the nearby monsters before we made camp was only effective up until my watch ended?
In any case, hearing that Sara and Diana had dealt with approaching monsters during their watches brought something to mind.
We had set up the watch rotation without much thought, but didn’t this mean Leia didn’t need to stand watch?
After all, the reason we still had a watch despite the alarm magic’s expanded range was to hold off monsters until the others could wake up.
There was no way Leia could do that.
When Guwon explained this to Leia, she shook her head vigorously and spoke with determination.
Every time Leia shook her head, her large peaks swayed back and forth, and my heart swayed along with them.
“No. I don’t want to be a burden. I can definitely hold them off for a little while.”
A burden? I think you’re more than pulling your weight just by being a feast for the eyes.
“Really? How?”
“H-How? Well… I may not look it, but I’m a Beastkin, so I’m strong. And also… Ah, right! Priestesses don’t just know healing magic. We have attack skills using a staff, too!”
Leia clenched her fists in front of her chest and wagged her tail as she argued her point.
But you just said, ‘Ah, right!’ You completely forgot about it yourself. Can you really do it?
“Then try hitting me.”
“What? Who?”
“Who do you think? Me.”
“I-I… I’ve heard some people are into that… but are you one of them, Guwon?”
Leia said, her face blushing.
What is this girl talking about?
I had no such hobbies.
Although, if my sweet, kind angel were to suddenly turn serious and berate me in the middle of the act, the gap might be a little exciting… No. I don’t have hobbies like that. What am I even thinking?
“That’s not it. I meant, try attacking me with your staff. I want to see how powerful it is.”
“Whaat?! B-But…”
“It’s fine. You probably won’t even leave a scratch.”
“Aah! You don’t believe that I have an attack skill, do you?”
Leia said with a slightly pouting face.
So cute.
Anyway, I knew that the Priestess class had blunt weapon attack skills.
They existed in other games, too, and they were decent skills to use when no one needed healing.
But I could guarantee that even if Leia had learned the skills, they were all at level 1.
For one, I couldn’t imagine my angel hitting anyone, and more importantly, she didn’t even have a staff before she met me.
“It’s not that. It’s just that I’m ridiculously tough. Come on, don’t hold back. Give it a shot.”
“Really? I’m trusting you. You won’t get hurt?”
Leia checked with Guwon several times before attacking.
After Guwon repeatedly assured her it was fine, she swung her staff as if she had no other choice.
“Hya!”
As proof that a skill had been activated, a faint line traced the staff’s trajectory as it came down on Guwon.
Of course, just like Diana’s attack, Leia’s didn’t hurt at all.
“Alright. From now on, I’ll take Leia’s watch.”
“N-No!”
“It’s fine. I don’t need much sleep anyway, so it’s no problem at all.”
This was for Leia’s sake, but it was also for the good of the whole party.
Guwon had no intention of backing down.
“Still…”
Leia seemed to understand with her head, but she felt sorry and wanted to stand watch somehow.
Most people would be happy to have someone cover for them. She really is an angel.
“I want to be a little more helpful…”
“Leia, you provide mental healing on a daily basis, so it’s fine. For me, that’s much more helpful than you standing watch.”
“Me? Mental healing? How…?”
Leia tilted her head in confusion.
That’s it. Just keep being like that.
Guwon didn’t answer, just nodded to himself with a satisfied smile.
And so, it was decided that Guwon would take on a double watch.
However, it seemed Leia felt an unexpected sense of responsibility for her role as the mental healer.
This became abundantly clear during mealtime.
“Here, Guwon. Eat up. Say ahh.”
“Ahh.”
Leia began to feed Guwon.
Of course, Guwon didn’t refuse and readily accepted.
Wasn’t I embarrassed with everyone else around?
Spending this sweet time with my angel was far more precious. I would make any sacrifice for it.
“Hehe. You’re eating well.”
Taking it a step further, Leia began to pat Guwon’s head after every bite.
It might have been a habit from taking care of the orphanage children, as she was treating him like a child, but Guwon didn’t mind at all.
Because even while sitting, Guwon was quite tall, so when Leia sat next to him and reached for his head, her enormous chest naturally pressed against his arm.
Normally, Guwon would have been a little conscious of Sara and Diana, but with his angel continuously creating such a blissful situation, he couldn’t think straight.
“Heh, heheh. Th-that… oomph!”
Something was shoved into his mouth.
When he came to his senses, he saw Sara shoving her own spoon into his mouth.
“If you like this so much, I can give you plenty of it.”
“Wai—oomph! Hey, that hurts! Ugh!”
I know I was grinning like an idiot, but aren’t you putting a little too much force into it?
Unlike Diana or Leia, Sara had some strength, so the spoon was actually doing a tiny bit of damage.
“Why? Isn’t this what you like?”
“Sara. You mustn’t.”
It was Leia who liberated Guwon.
“If you’re so rough, you’ll just hurt him. The inside of the mouth is a delicate place, so you have to be gentler. Here, watch closely. Say ahh.”
Leia chided Sara, then fed Guwon another spoonful of soup.
“See, like this. Understand?”
She then spoke as if encouraging Sara to try it as well.
“Ugh…”
At Leia’s attitude, Sara began to hesitate.
It seemed that while she had attacked Guwon in a fit of jealousy, she was embarrassed at the thought of actually feeding him herself.
Cute.
As Guwon stared at Sara with a slightly teasing look, her face grew redder and redder.
“H-Hmph. As if I’d feed you.”
Sara hesitated with the spoonful of soup, then finally put it in her own mouth.
Hey. You know that was in my mouth, right?
Well, for two people who kissed so passionately every time we had sex, it was strange to be concerned about something like that now.
In any case, even after fending off the jealous Sara, Leia continued to help Guwon with his meal, sticking close by his side.
The way she patted his head like he was a child after every bite was indescribably blissful. Especially the sensation against his arm.
“Your attitude is quite different from when I pat your head, isn’t it?”
Diana, who had been watching Guwon and Leia as if they were a spectacle, finally couldn’t take it anymore and spoke up, her expression displeased.
“Well, that’s because you…”
Guwon couldn’t finish his sentence.
He had just teased her about this right after waking up; if he did it again now, he had a feeling it wouldn’t end with just a few light pats from her fists.
Instead, he just stared pointedly at her chest, hoping she would realize on her own.
“Because I what? …Wait. Where are you looking right now?”
Hah. Looks like she gets it. Do you realize the crucial difference between you and my angel?
Now to smooth things over so I don’t get an earful.
“No, it’s just that your face is so cute.”
“Don’t lie to me!”
It didn’t work at all.
“F-For me to suffer such humiliation!”
Diana was trembling with genuine anger, her eyes even welling up with tears.
Her reaction was so intense that I was starting to feel a little sorry.
“Hey, hey. Why are you getting so worked up over something like that? Humiliation? You have your own charms.”
“…Really?”
“O-Of course!”
“Then why is your reaction so different when I pat your head compared to when Leia does it?”
“Th-That’s… R-Right. It’s because I was embarrassed. I was so embarrassed that I pretended not to like it.”
Guwon wracked his brain and barely managed to come up with an excuse.
Damn it. Why am I going this far…? I even feel a little pathetic now that I’ve said it.
Like some kid who can’t express his feelings to his crush and just bottles it up inside.
Diana stared at Guwon’s face for a moment, then broke into a wide grin.
“Well, now. You have a cute side to you, don’t you? Did you like it that much when I patted your head?”
She said teasingly as she ruffled his hair, messing it up.
It was true that I’d said it to placate her, but seeing her spirits lift only for her to tease me like this was annoying in its own way.
I wonder if teasing her again would bring her back down.
But before Guwon could act on that thought, Leia pulled him toward her, subtly separating him from Diana.
“Here, here. Guwon, you still have food left.”
She then tore off a piece of bread of a suitable size and placed it in his mouth.
Did she do that because she knew I was about to snap at Diana again?
Ugh. To be so perfect, even with this kind of consideration. My angel really is the best.
Anyway, the party set off once again toward the teleport magic circle.
Even after reaching the area where Sand Worms, the biggest obstacle on their journey, appeared, the party’s pace didn’t slow at all.
Guwon would walk ahead alone with Saint’s Touch active on his feet, and the monsters, trying to take out the lone target, would bump into his feet and simply topple over.
After a few days of advancing as if on a stroll, a massive pillar of light reaching the ceiling finally came into view on the distant horizon.
“That’s the teleport magic circle, right?”
“Mm. Looks like we found it.”
“Alright. We can finally get a good night’s sleep today.”
“I’m sorry…”
At Guwon’s words, Leia suddenly bowed her head.
“Ah, no. That’s not what I meant…” “That’s right. There’s no need for you to apologize, Leia. He’s just saying that because he wants to have sex.”
Sara interjected coolly from the side.
Sara had been in a bad mood lately, probably because Leia was sticking to me too much.
In the past, I would have been flustered by that kind of attitude from Sara, but these days, I just found it cute.
Is this what they call being blinded by love?
Besides, what Sara said wasn’t even wrong.
She was right, I did say it because I wanted to have sex. As expected of someone who likes me, she sees right through me.
“Well, let’s get going.”
“You’re not going to deny it…?”
Diana muttered from the side, her tone incredulous.
What’s the point in denying it? Wanting it is a basic desire for men—no, for all living creatures.
The pillar of light was much farther than it appeared.
After walking for about half a day, they finally arrived at a place that formed a small village.
“A village? People live in the dungeon?”
“To be precise, they’re adventurers exploring the 2nd Floor, merchants who sell to them, and members of the clan that manages this place.”
Unless it was a completely enclosed space like the secret base we found, a teleport magic circle was too conspicuous.
Especially here, where the view was so open that it was clearly visible from half a day’s journey away.
As a result, monster attacks were a daily occurrence.
What’s the point of going through all the trouble of setting up a teleport magic circle if it just gets destroyed by monsters? It would be all for nothing.
That’s why clans build villages like this in the areas where they install teleport magic circles.
Since supplies could be transported through the circle, there was no shortage. They could just settle down here, protect the circle, and make money.
Naturally, adventurers would want to sleep in this safe place, and merchants would appear to cater to them.
This was also a desirable situation for the clan managing the area.
They could collect a portion of the merchants’ profits, like taxes, and the adventurers staying here would be helpful when monsters attacked.
A symbiotic relationship, you could say. It was a good system.
It didn’t have much to do with our cramped area on the 1st Floor, where we barely had to worry about monster attacks, though.
“But aren’t prices usually higher in places like this? Wouldn’t it be better to just use the teleport circle and sleep in town?”
“The merchants aren’t foolish enough not to think of that. They adjust the prices to a certain extent based on the teleportation fee. Besides, if you plan to keep exploring here, traveling back and forth every day is a hassle.”
I see. It’s true that going back and forth to Diana’s mansion every day would be a pain if we were going to keep exploring. A waste of time, too.
“Then should we stay here for the night?”
As one would expect, the inn here was no different from an inn in town.
The party decided to eat at the restaurant first before getting a room.
Sitting around a table like this, it really didn’t feel like we were inside a dungeon.
“It feels strange, being able to eat like this and sleep in a bed inside a dungeon.”
“I know, right?”
Guwon felt it was truly strange, too.
Staying at an inn meant we could sleep together.
I could have sex every day in the dungeon without worrying about being seen.
To think that my wish from a few days ago—to be able to use Healing Sex every day in the dungeon—would actually come true.
“So, Sara. One room should be enough for us, right?”
“Y-Yes?”
“Hm? Why so surprised? You don’t want to?”
“Th-That’s! I-I mean, I do want to, but…”
Sara said, her face blushing.
As expected. Even if she was acting cold out of jealousy lately, there was no way she’d refuse something like this. Cute.
“Then let’s get a room.”
Guwon took Sara’s hand, quickly got a double room, and went upstairs.
The moment they were inside, he started taking off her clothes.
“W-Wait! Let’s at least wash up!”
“Come to think of it, we did promise to wash together.”
“Ugh!”
Sara, who seemed to have forgotten until Guwon mentioned it, tensed up.
Hah. Sorry, but I didn’t forget.
Guwon led the blushing Sara into the room’s attached bathroom.
Sara’s body was stiff with nervousness, but she showed no signs of resistance and followed Guwon’s lead into the bathroom.
“Why are you so tense? We’ve already seen every nook and cranny of each other’s bodies.”
“St-Still, this is different from that!”
From Guwon’s perspective, it was all pretty much the same, but apparently, that wasn’t the case for Sara.
In the end, Sara was too embarrassed, so they couldn’t wash each other.
Oh well. This isn’t the only chance I’ll get. I’ll just have to let her get used to it slowly.
