The Rental Girlfriend's Scream
Kim Eunha screamed like a madwoman the moment she stepped inside her room, cake in hand.
“Aaaaaagh! That piece of trash!”
The shame and humiliation crashed over her in waves at the memory of losing herself so completely in front of that worthless man. She still couldn’t believe it. All he’d done was touch her with his hands and mouth, yet she had climaxed for the first time in her life. The fact that she had gushed out that much fluid still felt unreal.
She barely managed to calm herself enough to take a thorough shower, scrubbing every inch of her body with body wash. Even then, the phantom sensation of his touch lingered on her skin.
“Haa… Get a grip.”
The cake she had practically stolen helped soothe her heart a little, but the shame refused to disappear. Normally she would savor each bite slowly, but today she shoveled it down with a spoon like she was scooping rice. Only after half the cake had vanished did her reason slowly return.
Eunha stared blankly at her phone. The three letters saved in her contacts: Trash. She couldn’t even remember the last time she had saved a man’s number.
“How the hell did he find out?”
That worthless trash was actually the owner of the café she loved. She still couldn’t wrap her head around it. And of all things, he had caught her misusing student council funds and even discovered she worked as a rental girlfriend.
To keep her rental girlfriend job a secret, Eunha had never leaked any personal information. All contact had been through SNS only. She had worn wigs and disguised herself to hide her identity. She simply couldn’t understand how he had found out.
“That trash bastard.”
The silver lining was that while he was trash, he was at least recyclable trash. If she had fallen into the hands of truly irredeemable garbage with nothing to lose, just imagining what might have happened made her shudder. At least this guy hadn’t crossed the final line. In that sense, she had been lucky.
“Haa… Just endure for one week.”
She only had to hold on a few more days. If he still tried to blackmail her after a week, she had no intention of staying quiet anymore.
When evening came, Kim Eunha headed to the meeting spot for her rental girlfriend appointment.
Today’s client was a regular—a man in his mid-forties who had been seeing her two or three times a month ever since she first started the job. He claimed to be the president of a construction company she had never heard of, but honestly, he looked more like a thug than a businessman. He wasn’t the kind of person she wanted to get close to, but because he tipped generously on top of the rental fee, she had kept accepting his requests.
The appointed time arrived, and she met with the client. They sat in a restaurant with a decent atmosphere—not as nice as yesterday’s, but still pleasant—and ate while chatting. However, the conversation today felt strangely off.
He started talking about his recent trip, then subtly suggested she join him on the next one.
“How about this place? I’ve had my eye on it for a while. The hotel view is incredible. Want to go together this weekend? Of course, I’ll pay the rental fee for that time.”
“I’m sorry. I don’t really like traveling.”
“Haha, really? After seeing each other this much, I thought we were close enough to travel together.”
He was confusing a paid relationship with a genuine one. I should probably cut this guy loose soon.
His demands had been increasing little by little. He was trying to cross the line from rental girlfriend to private dates, acting like he was her real boyfriend. And although he wore a friendly smile, whenever she refused, she could sense something dark and unpleasant lurking beneath.
She finished the meal with one last sip of wine and left the restaurant.
“I had a good time today.”
“I did too. I’ll drive you to the station. Taxis don’t come around here often.”
The rental time had ended and they were about to part ways, but the client grabbed her. Eunha usually avoided getting into closed spaces with clients, but since he was a regular and no taxis were in sight, she reluctantly got into his car.
As soon as she sat down and fastened her seatbelt, the client handed her a hangover cure drink.
“Drink this. It’s a hangover remedy.”
“Ah, thank you.”
The wine she had just drunk must have been fairly strong; a faint flush had risen to her face. Without much suspicion, Eunha drank the hangover cure he offered.
“…Huh?”
The moment it went down her throat, her mind suddenly grew hazy and strength drained from her body. Eunha realized something was wrong. She immediately looked at the client, who dropped his mask as if he had been waiting for this moment.
“Heh heh, you fucking bitch. If you had just come with me when I asked, things would’ve been so much nicer.”
The dark undertone she had briefly sensed earlier was now completely exposed. The face of the kidnapper wearing the client’s mask was filled with naked lust toward her.
“You… Do you really think you’ll get away with something like kidnapping?!”
Eunha screamed. She had shouted hoping someone outside the car would hear, but no one paid any attention.
“Don’t worry. I’ll let you go after about three days. Of course, by then you’ll be so doped up on drugs that you won’t even want to leave.”
At the word “drugs,” Eunha’s face turned deathly pale. The terror of not knowing what would happen to her if she lost consciousness gripped her mind.
What do I do?
She wanted to call someone for help, but she doubted he would let her make a call so easily. Then she remembered the voice-activated calling app she had installed and set to a shortcut key. She desperately pressed the shortcut without letting it show.
> Who would you like to call?
She covered the phone’s speaker with her finger. The app had activated properly; she could hear the faint voice.
Who should I call?
To make the call, she had to speak the name saved in her contacts out loud. Would the kidnapper really just sit there and watch? If she shouted “Mom” or “Dad,” he would definitely sense something was off and snatch the phone before the call could connect.
She only had one chance. If she failed, her life would be ruined.
While she desperately tried to think of a natural way to make the call without raising suspicion, the words she had heard at the café that morning suddenly flashed through her mind.
It’s dangerous, so why don’t you quit the rental girlfriend job?
The words Kim Hyunjin—the one she had saved as Trash—had said to her. Regret flooded her for not listening to him.
Then it hit her. If she called out “Trash,” the kidnapper probably wouldn’t suspect anything.
Eunha shouted as if she were cursing the man in front of her.
“You trash!”
As expected, the man simply smirked at her meaningless resistance and did nothing else. Soon after, her phone began dialing Trash.
She prayed the dial tone wouldn’t reach the man’s ears and that the trash would pick up quickly.
Please answer…
“Hello?”
The voice that had been annoying just this morning now sounded more welcome than anyone else’s in the world. The moment the other party answered, Eunha clung to her fading consciousness with everything she had left and screamed.
“Save me!”
At the same time, Kim Eunha’s consciousness cut off.
I had just finished my café shift and returned home to rest when I received a strange call from Kim Eunha. Out of nowhere she screamed “Save me!” and the call ended. I tried calling back, but she didn’t pick up.
“A prank call?”
> Her voice didn’t sound like she was joking.
I had suspected it might be a prank meant to mess with me, but just like Seria said, there had been clear desperation in her voice.
“Should I go check on her?”
I thought for a moment, then decided to head out just in case something had really happened.
I focused my mind to locate her. Thanks to learning the Understanding Holy Power skill recently, I could now sense holy power around me. Since I had fed her my cum infused with holy power that morning, it should have been the strongest presence nearby, but for some reason I couldn’t feel it anywhere close.
I concentrated harder and expanded the range. Far off in the distance, I sensed holy power rapidly leaving the Seoul area. I couldn’t pinpoint the exact location, but I could tell the general direction. I hopped in a taxi and followed its movement.
The signal stopped at a remote mountain in Gyeonggi Province, past Seoul. I got out of the taxi and moved toward where I sensed human presence.
Is it there?
In the middle of an empty mountain stood a warehouse-like building. Someone was standing guard at the door, and lights were on inside.
I stealthily approached the building and peered inside through a gap in the ventilation fan. I saw Kim Eunha tied to a chair. About a dozen men surrounded her. At a glance, they clearly hadn’t gathered for anything good.
Looking at the men, they didn’t seem like ordinary neighborhood thugs. They looked like professionals who committed crimes for a living. Each one of them carried the stench of blood that only people who had killed before possessed.
She’s been kidnapped?
> How will you proceed?
The normal answer would be to report it to the police. But if I did that, those guys or their organization might come after me for revenge later. If they had been invisible trash I couldn’t see, maybe I could have ignored them. But now that I had seen them with my own eyes, the correct answer as a former hero was to deal with them immediately.
I was trying to live quietly here if possible…
I looked around. Fortunately, there were no CCTV cameras in sight.
Weapons… I don’t really need any, do I?
I didn’t feel the need to use weapons on scum like them. I simply picked up a few stones lying on the side of the road and put them in my pocket. Then I activated the holy power inside my body. A cool yet heavy sensation spread through me.
“Alright. Shall we go?”
It was time to become the hero Kim Hyunjin again after a long while.
