The First Friend I Made Is the Goddess of Our Department
The first friend I made at university is the goddess of our department.
That single sentence pretty much sums up my current situation. My name is Gu Yeonwoo. Just an ordinary freshman trying to survive college life without drawing too much attention. At least, that was the plan.
But from the moment I stepped onto campus, things refused to go according to plan. The girl everyone whispered about, the one whose face alone could stop traffic, somehow ended up sitting next to me in orientation. Before I knew it, we were exchanging numbers. Then sharing notes. Then… well, here we are.
Her name is Han Seojin. Long black hair that catches the light like silk, eyes that seem to pull you in whether you want them to or not, and a smile that makes half the guys in our department forget how to speak. They call her the department goddess for a reason. I just call her my friend. Or at least I used to.
Lately though, something’s been different. The way she looks at me. The way she finds excuses to come over to my place. The way she says my name like it’s a secret only the two of us share. I keep telling myself it’s nothing. Just her being friendly. After all, I’m nothing special. Average grades, average looks, zero social skills to speak of. So why does it feel like she’s always watching me?
And why does part of me… like it?
This is the story of how an ordinary guy like me got tangled up with someone way out of his league. The story of how the college goddess became completely, undeniably obsessed with me.
God help me.
