Chapter 91: Chaos (14)
Chapter 91: Chaos (14)
Laysia felt a pang of guilt as she watched Kang Yujin giggling and flirting by Han Shin’s side.
Even though she had the justification that having sex with Han Shin was for the sake of leveling up, her own sense of apology took precedence.
It felt even worse after hearing that while she was having sex with Han Shin yesterday, Kang Yujin had been clearing dungeons without a single moment of rest.
The biggest issue was that if Laysia had viewed the act as nothing more than a means to level up, without any feelings for Han Shin, her guilt might have been lighter.
However, despite her attempts to deny it, Laysia had developed genuine feelings for him. The fact that those feelings were growing only fanned the flames of her conscience.
Nibbling on a piece of melon while sitting demurely, she agonized over when she should tell Kang Yujin the truth—that she had slept with Han Shin.
‘But when should I say it…?’
Doing it now, with everyone present, seemed like it would turn the atmosphere awkward. It didn't feel like the right time to bring it up.
While Laysia was lost in thought, Kang Yujin brought up something she had been thinking about on the way home before going to sleep: finding a new place to live.
“Hey, Shin-a. Should we move?”
“Move?”
“Yeah. Our group has grown, and we have the money for it. This place is getting a bit cramped and inconvenient.”
Han Shin nodded at Yujin’s words.
The current house was a small place where only he and Kang Yujin had lived. Now that Grace and Laysia were with them, moving to a larger, better home made sense.
Han Shin had been thinking along the same lines, so he had no reason to refuse. In a way, Yujin had simply voiced the thoughts they both shared.
“Yeah, let’s move. Noona, could you look into some places?”
“Got it. Leave it to me.”
For Kang Yujin, the fact that she was the one choosing a new home to live in with Han Shin held deep meaning.
‘A house for Shin and me to live in.’
It made her feel like she had become a special woman to him, which made her incredibly happy.
Grace and Laysia watched the exchange in silence. In truth, neither of them strictly needed to live with Han Shin. They could wait in Tiamat’s Sanctuary and appear whenever Han Shin summoned them.
Grace felt grateful that Han Shin, knowing he could do that, still chose to have them stay together out of consideration for them.
“You’re staying for dinner, right, Shin-a?”
As they talked, the orange glow of the sunset had faded, replaced by a deep indigo sky.
“Yeah.”
In truth, Kang Yujin wanted to ask Han Shin to stay the night, but she couldn't because there was no place for Grace and Laysia to sleep.
‘I need to find a house quickly.’
Yujin resolved to start looking for a place immediately after dinner.
As soon as it was decided that Han Shin would stay for the meal, everyone began moving busily to prepare. However, Yujin soon realized that her ingredients were running low.
She had planned to hunt in Nepal for a while and hadn't known when she would return, so she had put off restocking the pantry until after the trip. Having forgotten that, she only noticed the shortage now that she was trying to cook.
“Ugh… Shin-a, I’m so sorry. I’ll run out and grab some groceries real quick.”
“It’s okay, Noona. You can take your time. I cleared a lot of dungeons before coming here, so I’m not in a rush.”
Han Shin brushed it off, telling her not to worry about such a small thing. Yujin gave him a bright smile and quickly got ready to head out.
“I’d like to go with you, but…”
Since Yujin always tried to let him rest and took care of all the chores herself, Han Shin wanted to go along and at least help carry the bags.
However, he knew all too well that it was difficult for him to go out right now.
Two years ago, an accident had left Han Shin practically a cripple. Now, he possessed a body so healthy it was hard to imagine he had ever been injured. Because of this, it was best to avoid going out and stay away from the public eye as much as possible.
Therefore, going out with Kang Yujin was a distant prospect.
‘I either need to get stronger quickly or find some other way…’
If they both went out in disguises, it might actually draw more attention, and there was no guarantee their identities wouldn't be discovered. He had to be extra cautious, as even the slightest clue could reveal his current state.
Thinking back, going to the Large Mart to buy clothes for Grace right after summoning her had been a very reckless move.
‘Fortunately, nothing happened after that, so it seems no one noticed…’
When Laysia heard Yujin say she was going out for groceries, she realized this was her chance to get some time alone with her.
“Han Shin-nim, may I go with Yujin? I’d like to help as well.”
Laysia first sought Han Shin’s permission.
“Uh… if that’s what you want, go ahead.”
“Yujin. May I come with you?”
She then cautiously asked Kang Yujin for permission.
Laysia didn't know much about Earth yet, and she was well aware that Han Shin needed to hide his identity. Technically, it was safer for her not to go out either, so she had to be careful.
Kang Yujin was a bit taken aback when Laysia suddenly asked to join her. Unlike Grace, she had known Laysia for less than two days, and they were still using formal language, feeling a bit awkward around each other.
‘Why so suddenly…? Does she just want to help me…? No, there must be a reason…’
Call it a woman’s intuition. Kang Yujin didn't think Laysia was asking to come along simply to help.
‘Let’s just accept it for now.’
She had already gone out with Grace once, and as long as they disguised themselves well like they did then, she didn't think it would cause much suspicion. As long as Han Shin wasn't the one caught, she judged it would be fine if they just went and did their business quietly.
“Let’s do that, then.”
Yujin decided to take Laysia with her to buy the groceries.
For the outing, Laysia needed a disguise. With her pale red hair and a figure that would make any man on the street turn his head, she had too many elements that drew attention. Just as Grace had done before, she needed to hide her hair color as much as possible and wear modest clothing.
Grace helped Laysia get ready. Having already experienced going out in disguise, Grace was quite helpful.
In the process of disguising Laysia, the two realized something they had overlooked.
The clothes they had bought for Laysia previously were all at the villa in Kathmandu, Nepal. Unless they wanted to go back and forth every time, they needed to buy more clothes.
“Ah… Laysia, I’m sorry. I should have bought more clothes for you, but I didn't think of it. Let’s buy some more while we’re out.”
“I’m fine.”
In truth, Laysia hadn't planned on going out much, and the things Yujin had bought her before were enough. Her main goal now was to be alone with Yujin to tell her about the sex with Han Shin.
When Yujin apologized for her lack of consideration, Laysia felt even more guilty.
However, Yujin and Grace didn't see it that way.
“We’re going to be living together, so you need clothes. If you’re worried about the money or feel like a burden, don’t be. It’s all fine.”
“She’s right. Even if you stay home, you need more than just a few outfits.”
Hearing that, Laysia realized that even if she only stayed indoors, having too few clothes was a problem in itself. Moreover, now that she had feelings for Han Shin, a hidden desire to look beautiful for him as a woman had taken root.
Laysia eventually agreed. She ended up dressed almost exactly like Grace had been during her outing. She wore a gray tracksuit with a hat pulled down low and a mask to minimize any exposed skin.
Watching Laysia, who had obediently followed their lead and now looked as plain as possible, Yujin and Grace spoke.
“I think this should do it.”
“Yeah, looks good.”
Yujin and Laysia decided to head to a nearby Large Mart. Just like with Grace, they decided to take the car. It was better to move quickly and stay out of sight.
“We’ll be back.”
“Yeah, be careful.”
“Have a safe trip.”
Seeing off by Han Shin and Grace, Kang Yujin and Laysia left the house.
Since Laysia wasn't familiar with Earth’s technology, Yujin thought she might be surprised, but there was little reaction. Laysia was too preoccupied to pay much attention to things she was seeing for the first time.
For instance, she got into the car exactly as Yujin instructed. While she found the unfamiliar mode of transport curious, she simply thought of the car as a means of travel and didn't show much interest beyond that.
Right now, the only thing on her mind was deciding when to tell Yujin about what happened with Han Shin.
Before she could reach a decision, the car carrying the two of them arrived at their destination: the Large Mart.
