A 28-year-old terminally ill shut-in wakes up inside a brutal roguelike RPG, except he's no longer human.

He has become Barca, a 19-year-old Barbarian treated as little better than a monster.

With no equipment, few rights, and nowhere respectable to go, Barca has little choice but to survive the way he knows best: by exploiting his knowledge of the game. His unusual traits give him a further edge, including immense physical potential, rapid regeneration, and a strange ability that lets him prey on monsters.

But knowing the dungeon doesn't make it safe.

Between criminal gangs, unreliable porters, monster ambushes, and lethal labyrinth floors, every mistake can be fatal. Along the way, Barca forms a party with Frea, an eccentric cat beastfolk rogue determined to become a mage.

Together, they set their sights on the dungeon's ninth floor, one deadly floor at a time.
