Chapter 153 - Calling in the Twin Sister
About an hour later, Luiza and Titi opened their eyes. In the meantime, I'd stepped out to the convenience store. They might not be used to convenience store food, but just a month ago, it was my daily staple. Contrary to my worries, though, the two women devoured the lunch boxes, hamburgers, and triangle kimbap I'd brought back.
They must have been starving, just like me. No, considering the fight in that abandoned dungeon before this, they were probably even hungrier.
Luiza peeked at her phone and stuck out her tongue.
"Valentina's blown up my phone. Guess she was expecting something extra."
I didn't need to ponder what that might be. It was obvious.
Titi, the one who'd kept Valentina up all night groaning, spoke up gravely.
"There's something I'm worried about."
"What is it?"
"My sister... Chichi."
"Ah..."
In truth, this whole affair wasn't fully wrapped up yet. Even if I'd completely subjugated Titi, she was just one of the two bosses. And according to her, her sister Chichi was far stronger.
"What are you worried about~? Call her to Korea. Problem solved~"
Luiza said it like it was no big deal. I felt the same way. Dealing with a powerful poison sorceress had seemed tough at first, but not anymore. I'd even broken Titi, after all. Things were even better now than when she came to Korea— we had one more powerful poison sorceress on our side, and Luiza and I had gained much stronger resistance to poison.
Against poison sorceresses alone, it was three against one. No matter how strong the newcomer was, we couldn't lose.
"But..."
Titi bit her lower lip.
"My sister's different from me. She'll see it through to the end. Someone's bound to get hurt— or worse."
"Is she that strong?"
"Everything started with her. She had way more competitive drive and a thirst for adventure than I did. Starting YouTube was her idea, and so was becoming poison sorceresses. Sure, our awakenings left us no choice, but our channel was doing so well we had no reason to switch careers. If Chichi hadn't pushed for it, I would've stuck with YouTube. That suited me better. But I became a poison sorceress with her, and inevitably, we made a ton of enemies. We had to kill to survive, and realized the only way to stay alive was to become the best. Chichi had more talent than me and obsessed over getting stronger. I only got this far because she helped me. She won't let what she's built crumble. She'd rather die."
Titi looked deeply concerned.
"Why worry~? Don't~ You've tasted our darling's cock. That's a holy relic. A cheat code! Deus ex machina~~"
Luiza waved it off, insisting there was nothing to fret over. Watching her eased my own lingering doubts. Latina energy was something else. Women from hot countries didn't sweat the small stuff.
And "cock taste"? Too spot-on to argue with.
"Mm..."
Titi seemed to agree with Luiza.
"Yeah... that's true."
"Right~? Call Chichi here. I've been dying to meet her. You two sisters uncomfortable sharing a bed for sex?"
Luiza was already plotting. Sounded like she had grand visions of dragging both sisters into bed at once.
Titi ignored the sex question and addressed only calling Chichi.
"Seems like that's the only way. She'll come to Korea anyway. Better we invite her first than let her run wild."
With that, Titi pulled out her phone, her face set with resolve.
"Calling now?"
I was a bit surprised. She'd been so worried about her sister, but once decided, she moved fast. Maybe she was too humble. Leading an assassin group successfully probably took that decisiveness— balancing her wild-child sister's impulses with cool-headed restraint.
Titi nodded at me and waited demurely for the ringtone. Soon, her expression shifted as the call connected. Despite her earlier anxiety, she looked calm talking to her sister. Blood was thicker than water, after all— these twins were each other's closest in the world.
The conversation was in Thai. I couldn't follow, and Luiza either could or couldn't, but she showed zero interest, just munching on her triangle kimbap.
Titi spoke seriously to her sister. Her brow furrowed slightly, a hint of pain— probably from lying. But her tone stayed steady; Chichi likely wouldn't suspect a thing.
A shout erupted from the phone. Titi nodded calmly in response, then hung up.
"What'd she say?"
"I told her I'm in a bind. All my old subordinates are dead, and I need help."
"Yeah..."
"She's coming right away. Probably here by dinner."
That was fast. Twins like them, one in dire straits? Of course she'd rush. Especially hearing the whole crew got wiped out.
"Perfect~ We'll see Chichi today."
Luiza grinned mid-bite. Her vibe made the whole thing feel trivial.
I decided not to overthink it either. It was just repeating what had worked before.
"Let's finish eating, then contact A-jin and replan."
"Yeah..."
Titi seemed conflicted. Understandable. This was weird as hell. She'd come to Korea on an assassination gig, fought Luiza— who should be in Brazil— lost, fucked me, and became my prisoner. No way Chichi would buy the truth. Her turmoil wouldn't ease until Chichi arrived and things settled.
"Ah~~ Seriously~~"
Three more people crammed into my tiny one-room. Kang A-jin's place was great for strategy sessions, but that meant trekking back there. With time pressing, the cramped space didn't matter enough to bother.
Valentina groaned the second she saw Titi. She'd expected Luiza back at A-jin's and probably been revved up to hug Titi. She'd prepped her own anti-poison countermeasures, no doubt. After all, she'd long gotten cozy with Luiza— whose body was pure lethal toxin. Even dragged her disciples into their sex. She had to have some antidote trick up her sleeve.
Anyway, she'd missed hugging Titi yesterday and lamented it, but after hearing the full story, she got it.
"I see~ Can't be helped then~~"
"Can't be helped? What do you mean?"
Titi pressed, but Valentina just stared at the ceiling evasively.
"Chichi's coming to Korea today."
"Good."
Kang A-jin responded coolly, against expectations.
"We had to meet her eventually. Sooner the better."
She was right. Better to handle it quick than let it fester.
"Same play? Lisa and I set up the barrier. Finish her in that dungeon."
Valentina said. I agreed— best plan. What worked once could work twice. If cautious Titi fell for it, her sister might too.
"Same spot?"
"Quiet takedown, so yeah. If the office gets messy, Violet can just get a new one."
A-jin said. With Kim Se-in now S-rank, expanding the guild made sense anyway. No money worries for her anymore, just like me. Since we were rethinking from the ground up, she'd factor that in.
"I'll call Se-in."
It wasn't a complicated war council. We just hoped it all went smoothly.
