Gangster Necromancer Exposed
Skeleton Master 171
The PK user faded away faintly.
"Ugh, uh......"
Watching him vanish, Mu-hyuk felt he'd truly changed a great deal.
If it had been his old personality,
he probably would have listened to the PK user all the way through and even pondered it seriously.
As idle thoughts cluttered his mind,
"What'd you score this time?"
Sung Min-woo approached cheerfully and checked the item in Mu-hyuk's hand. It snapped him out of the useless rumination.
"Gloves?"
They were plain-looking gloves, but Mu-hyuk suddenly held them out to Sung Min-woo.
"Huh? Why?"
"Use 'em."
"Me?"
Sung Min-woo tilted his head and took the gloves.
Item check.
A hologram popped up.
◈ Physical Attack Power +165
◈ Magic Attack Power +190
◈ All Stats +2
◈ Durability 300/300
◈ Requirements: Strength 60, Vitality 60, Knowledge 40
Sung Min-woo's eyes sparkled.
"Whoa, this is insane!"
His current weapon definitely had pitifully low attack power.
"You sure I can have it?"
"Yeah."
"Sweet!"
Grinning at the thought of getting even stronger, he swapped out his gear.
The black gloves fit snugly on his hands.
They looked ordinary, but the damage output was no joke.
"Thanks. I'll put 'em to good use."
The unnecessary thanks made his skin crawl.
"Whatever."
Sung Min-woo chuckled and asked lightly,
"So, what're you gonna do?"
"About what?"
"That user earlier. From what he said..."
"Meet up?"
"Yeah."
"What do you mean? Ignore him."
Mu-hyuk raised an eyebrow at Sung Min-woo's odd expression.
"Why?"
"Nah, you just seem way different from before Illusion."
"Do I?"
"You look much cooler now."
"I was pretty pathetic back then."
"Not pretty—extremely."
"You bastard!"
"What? Wanna go a round?"
Sung Min-woo struck a pose.
"Might as well."
Mu-hyuk gathered his skeletons.
"Hey, that's cheating!"
"Cheating my ass."
As they messed around casually, a sudden thought crossed his mind.
Ah, the tournament.
The ranking showdown was just around the corner.
Of course, he still wasn't sure if he'd participate. Right now, it mostly felt like a hassle.
Anyway, after some more fooling around, they resumed treasure hunting.
*
While Mu-hyuk and Sung Min-woo explored the Treasure Dungeon, someone else was pondering how to exploit the newly discovered info.
The simplest way: leak it on a broadcast.
Next: post it on a paid forum board.
What to do?
He decided on both.
He called a broadcast station.
Most showed little interest.
Ah, whatever.
Finally, he dialed the station airing Illusion Dream.
Too big, probably.
But worth a shot.
The call connected.
"Yes, I'd like to provide info on a new class."
(What kind of class?)
"Necromancer."
(Ah, Necromancer. Not a very popular class, honestly...)
"What if it's a top-ranker's class?"
(Top ranker?)
"Yes."
The voice on the other end shifted.
(Are you certain?)
The man was confident his info was spot-on.
He'd even met that cranky old geezer and pried some facts out of him after persistent begging.
Combining it with everything he'd gathered led to one conclusion.
Why that user was so damn strong.
"Absolutely."
(Great. If it's real, we can bump the special up this week. Let's meet and talk details. Free today?)
"Of course."
Unexpectedly, the biggest station proposed a deal.
Jackpot!
He pumped his fist and ended the call.
Now for the paid board.
He logged into the Illusion homepage and posted on the paid forum.
On the day Illusion Dream aired, this post would blow up too. Convinced of it, the man got ready to head out.
*
Illusion Dream.
One of the big three broadcasts tied to the Illusion world. High ratings, loyal viewers glued to live episodes.
Impressive, even outside prime time slots like Friday, Saturday, Sunday evenings.
The MCs' childish acting stoked curiosity.
Only possible 'cause they were both beauties.
[Let's dive in!]
[Yay!]
The screen switched.
An ordinary Necromancer user appeared.
Chaining quests, growing stronger, then stumbling into a cranky old man in some backwater spot.
The real story of the hidden class unfolded.
*
Valsian, scratching his back out of boredom, whipped his head around at the sudden presence.
Oh, the kid's here?
But he didn't want to seem too eager, so he forced his fidgety butt to stay put.
A knock soon followed, but he held out.
This brief silence is torture.
I'm getting old.
Valsian chuckled hollowly.
Knock, knock.
Unable to resist the second knock, he jumped up and yanked the door open.
"You punk, if you're here, say some—"
But it wasn't Mu-hyuk in his sights.
"Huh? Who're you?"
"Ah, hello."
"No hello about it."
"......"
Valsian scowled.
"Who the hell are you?!"
"Uh, the Weibra Empire library curator told me to come here..."
Valsian's face changed.
"That guy?"
"Yes."
"Ahem. Come in."
They sat facing each other inside.
The user looked utterly bewildered.
He'd watched Illusion Dream, pieced together the skipped parts, and come here on a whim—but had no clue what to do next.
"So, you made it here. Necromancer class, right?"
"Y-yes."
"I see. Ever heard of Gangster Necromancer?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah."
He'd heard it on Illusion Dream, naturally.
"You... know it?"
"Yes."
Valsian's eyes bulged.
"You sneaky rat!"
He thrust out a hand loaded with power.
The user froze under the overwhelming dark aura.
"Wh-why?!"
"Gangster Necromancer is known to only a handful—!"
Only then did the user realize his mistake.
"N-no, I..."
"Who told you?! Speak!"
"Pr-promotion! I saw the promo!"
"Promo...?"
"Yes!"
"Promotion? Who...?"
Mu-hyuk flashed in his mind.
Aah?
With that line about elevating Gangster Necromancer's status, maybe he'd promoted it.
But without confirmation, he couldn't accept this user.
"Hmph. Come back later."
"Pardon?"
"I need to check something. I said come back next time."
"O-okay."
The user bolted out.
Just as he thought solitude returned—
Knock knock.
"Didn't I say come back later?!"
"Huh? Uh, excuse me..."
The voice was different.
"Huh?"
Startled, Valsian opened the door.
Creeeak.
He stared blankly at the dozen or so users in view.
"What in the...?"
"The library curator told us to come here."
"That guy again?"
"Yes."
"......"
He let them in reluctantly.
"Know about Gangster Necromancer?"
A quick-thinking user jumped in.
"What's that?"
"Hmph, clueless, eh?"
"Yes."
"Fine. I'll explain specially. Long ago..."
A faint smile crept across Valsian's lips as he spoke.
No trace of loneliness lingered on his face.

This dungeon wasn't long either.
"30 minutes left."
"Head out?"
"Yeah. It's late—requeue, then log for the night."
All agreed, heading straight to the end.
They reached out to the dimly glowing space at the path's terminus.
Whoosh.
The world shifted.
Out of the dungeon.
As they moved to requeue, familiarly dressed men approached.
"Those bastards for real."
Users in deep hoods.
PKers.
As Mu-hyuk figured, they wouldn't pick a fight.
But talk might soften him up, so he didn't stop Sung Min-woo.
"Summon."
Mu-hyuk summoned all his skeletons too.
Attack.
They unleashed on the approaching users.
"W-wait...!"
Rudolph gestured, but they ignored it.
Burtan - Ki Wave
Armor Archer - Power Shot (Rapid Fire)
Armor Knight - Powerful Strike
Armor Cavalry - Charge
Mu-hyuk loosed arrows too.
Wind Storm, Powerful Arrow Shot.
Multi-Shot.
Chaos erupted in seconds.
Over ten users dropped dead.
They scooped up dropped items briefly before refocusing.
Hydra, Skull Snakes.
They hounded only Rudolph relentlessly.
"Guhk!"
After a grueling fight, most PKers lay dead, leaving just Rudolph and a few.
"Damn it! Let's talk!"
"Talk? Nah."
Mu-hyuk ignored him and swung.
Slash.
A critical hit—Rudolph crumpled.
Weaker than last time; he'd stashed key items in storage.
The dropped junk was as expected, but sellable for a few silvers, so into inventory it went.
They mopped up the rest and rejoined the line.
"They keep coming, huh?"
Kim Min-ho PD approached.
"Yeah."
"Those items must be special."
"Pretty special."
"What're your plans for them?"
"Hm."
Mu-hyuk pondered before answering.
Kim Min-ho PD, capturing it all, smiled in satisfaction.
"Alright, back in line."
Ten minutes later, they queued for the next spawn.
"Hidden class?"
"Huh, you didn't know?"
Loud voices from ahead.
"Doesn't concern me."
"What? It totally does—you especially."
"Me?"
"Yup!"
Talk of a hidden class.
Sung Min-woo and Yura listened with interest too.
Mu-hyuk looked puzzled.
At this point in time?
One thing came to mind.
No way?
His hunch was spot-on.
"Gangster Necromancer."
"Dumbass, I'm a Necromancer too."
"Not just any—Gangster Necromancer!"
"Gangster...?"
"Yeah!"
"What kinda stupid name is that? Only gangsters can do it?"
"They say he drags around hordes of minions like a gangster boss—hence Gangster Necromancer, idiot!"
The info on Gangster Necromancer had finally spread through Illusion.
