Cohabitation with Two Women I Want to Abandon
I stood at the checkout counter, paying for the groceries we’d need for today, feeling like the shopping trip had dragged on for an eternity.
“I-I’ll handle the payment…”
“……My apologies.”
“C’mon, ring it up, ring it up♡”
Calathea, who had been sitting proudly inside the shopping cart like a child the entire time, was now stacking the ingredients she’d been cradling onto the counter one by one. All eyes around us were glued in our direction. I wanted to die from embarrassment.
Her pale legs dangled and kicked playfully over the edge of the cart. Every time she moved her arms, her massive breasts jiggled and bounced against her crop top. It was an utterly outrageous sight.
And right beside that spectacle, Audrey stood with a completely blank face, as if none of this had anything to do with her.
…Though she was standing a noticeable distance away.
“Are you seriously going to stay like that all the way to the parking lot?”
Calathea tilted her head back, looking up at me upside down, and flashed a mischievous grin. It was her way of saying she had zero intention of getting out.
“Haa…”
“Sighing chases away your luck, Manager.”
“You’re the last person who should be saying that.”
“…This is embarrassing. Let’s go home quickly.”
With Calathea still munching happily on an ice cream bar she’d already unwrapped, we made our way down to the underground parking lot looking exactly like a married couple out shopping with their young daughter. It had only been a single day since I met these two, yet I already felt this exhausted. It was like my blood was literally drying up in real time.
“Alright, luggage is all loaded… By the way, how about the two of you sit together in the back? Consider it training to get closer. …Audrey?”
When I turned to look, all I saw was Audrey’s back as she swiftly opened the passenger door and slipped inside.
“Training failed, Manager. Better luck next time.”
Calathea gave my shoulder a few pitying pats, then giggled as she hopped into the back seat.
Before we could even think about clearing Gates together, getting these two to synchronize their breathing seemed like an impossible task… Would this really be okay?
Feeling an overwhelming urge to abandon these crazy women and run away, I slowly climbed into the driver’s seat and started the engine.
“You know, it’s been a while since I walked around shopping like this. My body feels healthier already. I even broke a little sweat without realizing it.”
“That’s only natural after you dragged us through every single clothing section in the department store.”
“Oh ho ho, finding clothes that contain true ‘aesthetics’ and ‘beauty’ requires exactly that much effort!”
“…Are you imitating my way of speaking right now?”
“Who knows? Maybe♪ …Ah, Manager! She’s pulling out her gun again!”
Even on the drive back from the department store to our lodging, the two of them were too busy bickering to stop.
……I should step on the gas as hard as possible and get us home quickly. That was my only path to survival.
“Ugh, this feels so gross I can’t stand it anymore. Manager, I’m going to change my clothes real quick, okay?”
“Right here?”
Before I could even try to stop her, Calathea’s warm crop top and hot pants flew through the air and landed brazenly across the dashboard. And as if that wasn’t enough, the follow-up attack came immediately after.
“Huuu~ So refreshing♪”
A bright red bra and panties sailed elegantly through the air and settled right beside my driver’s seat.
Wait. If that’s the case, then in the back seat right now—
“Oh, by the way, you absolutely cannot turn around, okay? Otherwise you’ll see all of my precious naked body♡ Though if you really want to look, I suppose I can’t stop you…♬”
“…Manager?”
“I-I’m not looking! I’m not looking…!”
“Hmm… You really won’t look? I’m starting to put my clothes on now, you know?”
The rustling sounds from the back seat as she searched for new clothes, mixed with Calathea’s playful little grunts while she dressed, sounded strangely erotic. Chased by that mind-shaking auditory stimulation and Audrey’s suspicious glare from the passenger seat, I gritted my teeth and slammed the accelerator all the way to our destination.
“The lodging is bigger than I expected.”
“Even if it’s called a prisoner unit, it’s still a place where two S-class hunters will be living.”
The apartment the Association had prepared for us was located somewhere in Seoul. It wasn’t quite luxurious enough to have marble floors everywhere, but the open living room was surrounded by a kitchen and four bedrooms, and there were two bathrooms. It was more than enough space for three people—it practically overflowed with it.
“Pick whichever room you want and unpack. I’ll just take whatever’s left.”
“Manager, are you living with us as well?”
“That’s right. It’s one of the conditions for bringing you two back into society. Even if you hate it—”
“Fufufu…♪”
“…Please hate it a little, I’m begging you.”
Calathea was already laughing with clear delight at the thought of tormenting me. Surprisingly, even Audrey didn’t seem to mind the idea of living with a man. She had been the same at the hotel. Did she really see me as nothing more than an inanimate object?
‘According to Calathea, Audrey thinks of her as nothing more than a cleaning lady who disposes of trash that goes against her aesthetics.’
Just as that hedonist saw me as a toy to entertain her, perhaps to Audrey I looked like an object she might have to clean up someday in the future.
…As long as they didn’t cause any incidents and just cleared Gates properly, it didn’t matter.
“Then I’ll take this one♪”
Calathea picked a room first and disappeared inside. Audrey silently gathered her luggage and headed for the room diagonally opposite, the one farthest from Calathea’s.
Which naturally meant my room would be the one sandwiched between the two of them…
“……This is all because of Calathea.”
I muttered an excuse to no one in particular, shook off the strange feeling, and started neatly organizing the groceries we’d bought at the department store. Things that needed refrigeration went in the fridge, things that needed freezing went in the freezer. Sauces and canned goods were placed neatly by the sink…
Even though there were two women in the house, I was the one doing all this.
‘Wait. If I do this much from the very first day, won’t I end up being stuck with all the housework?’
A ominous premonition crawled up my spine, but I tried to reassure myself that at least Audrey would help me somehow.
Just as I was finally about to grab my own luggage and head to my room, I noticed Calathea’s bags still lying abandoned by the front door.
I guess I had to take them to her…
Feeling almost enlightened by now, I picked up the bags containing her clothes and cosmetics.
“Calathea, I’m leaving all the things you bought in front of your door, okay?”
“Since you already brought them all the way here, can’t you just bring them inside?”
Even after carrying her luggage all the way to her room, all I got in return was an absurd complaint from beyond the door.
“…Shouldn’t you at least thank me for bringing it this far?”
“Aww, but you got to see my body plenty in the car, didn’t you?”
“Hey, when did I ever—?”
“We even had such an intimate eye contact moment and now you’re trying to play innocent?”
“That was only because I had to check the rearview mirror while driving—”
Shit.
“The door’s open♪”
“……Sigh.”
I should have just dropped the bags and run instead of arguing with her. Why did I even bother talking to Calathea?
With my tail between my legs, I entered her room only to find—
“Manager~♡ My legs feel so stiff. Won’t you give me a massage? Hmm?”
She had already thrown all her clothes onto the floor and slipped completely under the blanket, grinning at me with a sly, seductive smile. Beneath the covers, her alluring bare legs wiggled as if making a statement.
“Do your own damn massage. You’re stronger than I am anyway.”
“But it feels completely different when someone else does it, doesn’t it? Besides, if you work hard for me now, there might be another reward waiting for you…?”
“I don’t need it. Go find someone else.”
“Ahh, Manager—!”
I quickly set her bags on the floor, slammed the door shut, and left. From inside, I could hear Calathea’s startled voice.
…I should have done that from the beginning.
“How boring, just leaving like that. What a cheapskate.”
Hearing her grumble from inside the room, I felt like I was starting to understand how to handle Calathea.
“Haaam, I’m so tired…”
Anyway, I should head to my own room now too.
I grabbed the last of my luggage, stepped into my room, and the moment I was finally alone, the fatigue I hadn’t noticed before came crashing down on me all at once.
“…Maybe I’ll lie down for a bit.”
I hadn’t slept properly last night because I was studying emergency manuals, and the stress of dragging Calathea and Audrey around since morning had been piling up nonstop.
‘I can unpack tomorrow…’
I lazily peeled off my outer clothes and collapsed onto the soft bed. My eyelids grew heavy at an alarming speed.
Just as I was about to drift off to sleep—
“Manager, does this mean we have free time for the rest of today?”
There was a knock, followed by the door opening. I slowly opened my eyes to see Audrey entering the room and quietly locking the door behind her with a click.
“Mmm… Yeah, I guess so. The rehabilitation training schedule won’t start until… next week.”
“……….”
“Why are you looking at me like that…?”
Following Audrey’s gaze, I lifted my heavy head and realized the hem of my shirt had ridden up, exposing my stomach slightly.
…Including the large diagonal scar that ran from my side across my torso.
“This is… just an old wound from back when I was an active hunter.”
“Hunter? You don’t do it anymore?”
“I still do it. I have to, to make a living. …This is from the time I used to hunt with my older sister.”
My voice must have been too quiet because I was already half-asleep and desperate to drift off. Audrey approached the side of my bed, gently sat down, and the mattress dipped slightly under her weight. A cool, refreshing, and strangely pleasant scent slipped into my nose.
“…You look sad.”
“Calathea said the same thing. Are you reading my expression too…?”
“Not exactly. It’s just… a face I’m very familiar with.”
“What do you mean by—”
“If you’re sleepy, go to sleep. I’ll take care of the rest.”
Audrey’s cool hand gently brushed my bangs back and forth. My blinking eyelids grew heavier and heavier.
“Have a good night.”
Wrapped in the strange feeling that I might have a truly pleasant dream for the first time in a while, I fell into a deep sleep.
And the next morning.
“Mmm… Did you sleep well, Manager?”
For some reason, I woke up in the same bed as Calathea.
