No Choice But to Call the Police
In nearly every game, game sense matters just as much as raw mechanics when it comes to playing well.
No—it wouldn't even be an exaggeration to say it matters more than anything else.
Macro. Reading the current state of the match. Predicting fights and picking the advantageous ones. Positioning for the situation. Finding good angles. Syncing with your teammates.
All of it is massively influenced by game sense.
A player with godlike mechanics occasionally clips a highlight. A player with godlike game sense just wins the game.
And Woo Yeonha… had no game sense. At all. It was almost tragic.
Even she could tell her own brain was full-blown Ttyuttya-tier garbage.
"Hmmm…"
Even so, she at least wanted to be decent at Eternal Survival. No—she wasn't even asking to be good. She just wanted to hit Gold every season, coast on the Cadet skin rewards, and call it a day.
"Hmmmm…!"
So she thought about it. How, with this peanut brain of hers, could she actually play Eternal Survival well? How could she reliably hit Gold every season?
…The answer that came out was surprisingly simple.
"…I have to remove my brain."
Woo Yeonha was trash. She was not allowed to think. She had to ruthlessly cut down the number of decisions she had to make, and only execute what had already been pre-loaded into her.
Magnus.
Eternal Survival's classic early-game powerhouse. A character where, no matter the situation, all you had to do was drive your ultimate motorcycle well and slam it into the enemy DPS.
She'd looked at portraits of countless other characters, but none of them had a job description as clear-cut as this one. So she locked Magnus… and removed her brain.
She just moved her mouse and keyboard in perfect sync with KDW's play.
The result:
"KIYOOOOOOOO!!"
Bus ride secured.
Even with game sense so rotten it had fully regressed into Ttyuttya mode, KDW kept a tight leash on her the whole time—and she trucked her way to a win on the very first game. Over a hundred points in a single match.
Overwhelmed with joy, she shot up from her chair without thinking—
THUD—!
"Guehk!"
She slammed her knee hard into the desk. Her joint lit up with a searing jolt.
THUD!
"Ah… ah…"
For a second the violent pain climbing up from her knee dropped her across the keyboard.
"Gyaaaaaaah—!"
A genuine, full-throated scream tore out of her before she could stop it.
Ah—it hurt—! Being stuck in Woo Yeonha's body made it hurt so much worse than usual—!
"B-Boss…"
She crawled across the floor, desperately looking for the CEO, but there was no sign of her coming. Apparently the claim that closing the door and windows actually soundproofed the room hadn't been a lie. Hing hing…
"Hah… hah…"
After thrashing around on the floor for a long while, she finally managed to haul herself up onto the bed. She couldn't even bring herself to close the finished Eternal Survival client—just hugged her knee with both hands.
"…Huh?"
On the monitor in the distance, the streaming setup screen was showing that a mic had been detected.
"Uh, uhang?"
For the record, she had never once touched a single mic setting. She just wore a headset when she gamed, and that headset happened to have a mic built in.
"D-Did it auto-detect when I put the headset on?!"
Worried her scream from a moment ago might have blasted through voice chat, she scrambled to the monitor and started jabbing at the settings—
Ding—!
Her Apple phone, quiet for far too long, delivered a fresh message.
"Uh…"
…It was Nene.
Her fingers hammered the keyboard before she could stop herself.
"Ah!!"
Woo Yeonha, you absolute trash-tier disaster of a human being!!
God Star Live!
Her own clone + she ran into KDW lmao
Doesn't even look like a particularly good comp for him.
What is this? A snipe?
And somehow that completes the truck party lmao
KDW << just watching how they respond to Fake Nene's manic floor-it moments tells you why they're pro.
Real Nene << unshakable GOAT ADC melting the frontline
We're going to Masters like this right?
People on that side are saying the voice is extremely similar to Woo Yeonha, who just debuted recently.
Manager Kim.
Judging by the name alone, she looked like Star Live's actual manager—but in reality, she was an illustrator Kang Haneul had personally headhunted into Star Live. Why the name Manager Kim? Nothing special. That was just her illustrator handle.
She'd never been given any formal rank, but if you had to put a title on it, she was closer to the "team lead" of the illustration team. Even before joining Star Live, she'd been a well-known illustrator with considerable recognition in the industry.
Manager Kim almost never messaged first unless something actually mattered, so Haneul fixed her eyes on her phone for a moment.
There was indeed such a cut in the highlight section of the group MV Mirai currently in production. That particular stretch had eaten so much of the budget she couldn't possibly forget it.
The song happened to hit the lyric "future" at every highlight. Fitting Star Live's future—the Gen 3 trainees—to that lyric as an Easter egg felt genuinely fun.
However…
They only had two Gen 3 trainees ready so far.
Seiya Christina Valencia.
Luna Anastasia Nosferatu.
Three scenes to fill, and only dropping them in twice would feel awkward. It might have been nothing more than one of her occasional overthinking spirals—but still.
"Hmmm…"
As she recalled the MV draft, the scene painted itself in her head on its own. Fans would absolutely eat this up. Hunting for a one-frame Easter egg and then arguing over the analysis would keep the community fed for ages.
And now that girl, out of nowhere?
"Uh…"
…This bastard. Don't tell me?
By the time she'd heard that much, she knew exactly why Manager Kim was messaging her in the middle of the night, well outside work hours.
Truly, an employee who lived entirely by her appetites.
But then again, masterpieces were born from human desire in the first place.
"Seriously…"
Yeonha was one thing, and now Manager Kim too. Where on earth did she keep finding these weird employees…
"Augh…!"
After wrapping up the string of work chat with Manager Kim, she stretched hard. Work fatigue must have piled up—her body felt heavy. She needed to knead that damn Ttyuttya's chest and bleed off some stress.
"What are you doing, Yeonh—"
She opened the door and stepped in, and what met her eyes was—
"H-Hoeeng…"
—her Ttyuttya employee on the bed, knees hugged to her chest, trembling hands clamped around a smartphone. A single glistening tear had gathered at the corner of one eye.
"…"
This absolute lunatic…
That used to be a guy? And this was what "cute" looked like on him? For real?
"What is it? What's wrong?"
She fought down the urge to just pounce right then and there, walked over, and stood beside her Ttyuttya staffer. Karen had washed her thoroughly earlier, so a soft mix of bath salts and Yeonha's own scent drifted up.
"B-Boss…"
Her voice shook like she'd committed some enormous crime.
"I-I…"
Apparently she couldn't bring herself to explain it in words, so she just held out the phone she'd been clutching. The screen showed a painfully familiar in-company app.
"You little…"
What the hell did you do this time?
You absolute maniac of a Ttyuttya girl!!
