The Cat I Saved in My Dream
I helped an injured cat I found in my dream. That was all. Just a small act of kindness in a place that shouldn't even exist.
But the moment I woke up, the world as I knew it cracked open.
"I'm the daughter of the Crawling Chaos, Outer God Lilith. Let's get along from now on, okay?"
The voice was sweet, playful, and far too intimate for someone I'd never met. It carried the weight of galaxies collapsing and stars being born at the same time.
............Huh?
That single word was all my brain could manage. The black cat with crimson eyes was sitting on my chest, staring at me like I'd just signed a contract I couldn't read. Its—her—tail flicked lazily, and the smile on that tiny feline face felt far too human. Far too knowing.
Before I could scramble backward or convince myself I was still dreaming, the cat began to change. Bones shifted without sound, shadows unfolded like silk, and suddenly a woman was perched on top of me instead.
Pale skin, long black hair that seemed to drink in the light, red lips curved in a teasing smile, and those same burning red eyes. She tilted her head, looking down at me with pure, unfiltered affection that made my stomach twist in ways I couldn't explain.
"You helped Lilim, so now you're stuck with Lilith. That's how contracts work, darling. Fair is fair~"
Her voice had dropped into something softer, almost aegyo-laced, like she was coaxing a reluctant pet. But behind the cuteness was an ancient, cosmic hunger that made the air feel heavier.
I opened my mouth. Closed it. Opened it again.
"...What the hell is happening?"
Lilith—because of course that was her name—leaned closer until her breath brushed my ear. The scent of night-blooming flowers and distant nebulae filled my lungs.
"You'll understand soon enough, my contractor. My fiancé. My everything." She giggled, the sound both adorable and terrifying. "Now, be a good boy and feed your big sister some life force, okay? Pretty please?"
Outside the window, the stars seemed to flicker, as if they were laughing at me.
I had saved a cat in a dream.
And now an Outer God was obsessed with me.
