Three Miracles a Day
After finishing treatment on the third terminal cancer patient in line, I addressed the crowd surrounding us.
"That's three patients treated. We're done for today."
Sighs of disappointment erupted around me, followed by desperate cries.
"S-Sir!! Please...! Just one more! My mother's in so much pain!!"
"I beg you! Please treat one more!"
They seemed to be guardians. Some patients themselves cried out weakly, pleading. But no one clung to my clothes.
"Back off!"
"Don't come any closer!"
The sharp-eyed security team held them back. I spoke calmly to the crowd.
"I'll be back tomorrow. If you need treatment, come see me then."
"Ah, w-wait—!!"
Hands reached desperately through the security line. I savored the sight with satisfaction.
Then I teleported back to my officetel.
Whoosh!
◇◇◇◆◇◇◇
"Wha... where...?"
"He was just here a second ago...?"
The masked man vanished in an instant. The people pushing against security stared blankly at empty air. The security guards and nurses blocking them did the same.
"He disappeared..."
"Is this even possible?"
"D-Did he hide? Where?! Sir! I'm desperate! Please...!!"
Everyone reacted differently, scanning the area. But escaping through this massive crowd unnoticed? Impossible. The masked man had truly vanished in a blink.
"It's a god..."
A patient muttered it. The whisper spread like a contagion.
"A g-god appeared!"
"He's the savior!"
"The Lord has come again! He performed a miracle!"
The atmosphere shifted instantly from hospital ward to religious revival. Terminal cancer patients healed. People who could barely walk without agony moved freely the moment he touched them. And he vanished before their eyes. How else to explain it but as a god?
And then.
"Make way! Please step aside!"
Someone shoved through the crowd to the spot where the masked man had disappeared.
"Director..."
"Professor Im, I heard. Where's the man who treated the cancer patients?!"
The director of Korea University Hospital. He'd rushed here upon hearing the news. But the 2-meter giant in the mask was nowhere in sight.
Professor Im, looking possessed, answered quietly to the director's question.
"He disappeared..."
"What...?"
"After treating three patients, he vanished into thin air. Suddenly."
"......"
"He said... he'd come back tomorrow."
The director stiffened, flustered. He turned to the security team.
"If he shows up tomorrow, report to me immediately. And ask him to wait a moment."
"Yes, sir."
The director hurried away, business concluded.

"Hah~, finally getting some proper reactions."
I lounged on my bed like yesterday, scrolling smartphone reactions. Currently reading a portal site news article.
The article included video. Me in the hospital lobby, filmed by smartphones.
[Let's head to the Cancer Center.]
The comments were a total shift from yesterday.
Not just this article—live news broadcasts and issue-hungry YouTubers were all covering the mysterious man healing cancer patients. Public attention was laser-focused.
'Well, duh. Show a miracle like that, of course everyone's hooked.'
This was plenty of promotion. Of course, I'd keep hitting the hospital starting tomorrow.
And the next day.
"Huh? Where's Assistant Manager Kim Seon-ha?"
I showed up at the small company as usual. But Kim Seon-ha, always early, was nowhere. Clock was nearing start time.
Nearby, Kim Joo-im spoke up.
"Oh, Assistant Manager Kim took a personal day today."
"Personal day?"
"Yeah, haha, maybe a hot date came up?"
"Hmm..."
With her looks, a boyfriend wasn't surprising.
'But she never mentioned taking a day off.'
Did the boss approve a last-minute request? He'd screamed "Are you insane?" at me before.
'The token woman gets special treatment? Infuriating.'
The boss who demanded I drag in with a 104°F fever was bad enough. But Kim Seon-ha getting instant approval? Also infuriating. A date with a guy, even?
'If that's it, I'll torment her extra tomorrow.'
I'm no gold-digger, but tormenting her man would be fun.
The company chugged on normally after. Missing the chance to grope her soft, huge tits was a bummer without her. But tomorrow's payback made it bearable.
And quitting time.
"Alright, everyone done? Head home."
The boss checked his watch, glanced at me, then called it. Other employees "got the hint" and stayed working. I leisurely left.
"Alright, let's go. Fast Travel Magic."
Ding!
Like yesterday, I swapped appearances in the company first-floor bathroom, then headed to the hospital.
But.
"He's here—!!"
The moment the scenery shifted, flashes exploded around me. The lobby brimmed with reporters wielding cameras and a massive crowd of spectators.
Click! Click-click-click!
All eyes locked on me. Security had prepped a circle around me for protection.
'Expected it, but damn, this is huge.'
Mostly reporters chasing interviews and desperate folks seeking treatment.
And then, a stranger approached. An elderly man in a doctor's coat.
'The director...?'
His name tag read "Director." He spoke cautiously.
"Hello. I'm Park Tae-soo, director of Korea University Hospital. Could we talk briefly?"
"Sure, whatever..."
"Then to my office. Don't worry about the reporters and crowd—security will handle them."
"Hm..."
I figured we'd chat here. Inviting me to his office meant serious business. But my goal wasn't some director.
"Mind if I say a few words to the public first?"
"Pardon...?"
"If it's a hassle, we can move. Anywhere—not Korea University Hospital, another hospital, hotel, park, whatever."
"No, no! Do it here! We don't mind at all!"
He waved frantically at the relocation threat. As expected. He wanted to cash in on my powers and buzz.
Fine, permission granted.
I spotted security controlling the crowd via mic.
I approached, tapped his shoulder. He turned, and this 190cm buff security guy startled, looking up at my 2m frame.
"Uh, y-yes...?"
"Can I borrow that for a sec?"
"Yes! O-Of course!"
The miracle worker vibe, plus overwhelming height intimidation. The tough-looking guard handed it over like a puppy.
[A-ah.]
Tap-tap.
I tested the mic. The sound guy smartly amplified it.
Hello, everyone.
My voice boomed through the lobby. Reporters and crowd zeroed in on mic-wielding me. Height made me stand out.
I'm here to treat those beyond conventional medicine.
The lobby fell silent at my voice. Reporters broke it.
Rush!
They surged forward, shoving security, thrusting mics.
"Why the mask?!"
"How did you treat the cancer?!"
"Some call you a heavenly apostle! Any religious ties?!"
Classic reporters, digging for the scoop. Regular folks in back glared daggers at them.
First, a few clarifications before the main point.
Reporters shut up at my voice. Only camera shutters clicked softly.
I'm no god, apostle, or angel. Just an ordinary person. No plans for a religion, so please don't start one around me.
Questions exploded again.
"Then what are you...?!"
"Why can you cure cancer...!"
I ignored them, continuing.
"No religion, yet miracles...!"
From now on, three per day.
"......Pardon?"
The barrage halted abruptly. Tense faces stared.
Three patients a day, here, first-come-first-served. No charge.
Reporters' faces hardened, mouths agape—then questions detonated.
'Reactions incoming soon.'
I grinned under the mask at the cameras. This was my money-making springboard.
But payers wouldn't be average patients.
'Any disease cured, first-come-first-served, free. Three a day.'
Under those terms, folks unwilling to queue would emerge. Those who'd never waited in line their whole lives.
Those are my clients.
'Time to treat three.'
The director yammered beside me. Something like "Deciding that without discussion...!" He'd planned to profit off me. My free service declaration threw him.
I ignored him, heading back to position. Security tightened the circle, blocking access.
"......Huh?"
Then, my 2m height spotted a familiar face amid the crowd.
"Seon-ha...?"
Kim Seon-ha stood far back in the throng, gazing desperately this way.
◇◇◇◆◇◇◇
"......"
Three patients a day, here, first-come-first-served. No charge.
One of Korea's top conglomerates, Hanlim Group. Its chairman, Han Se-jin, watched the news from his desk.
The figure on screen: the hottest topic, the mysterious savior.
"Three, huh..."
Han Se-jin eyed the hooded, masked giant intently.
Then.
Ring ring ring.
The office intercom buzzed.
Click.
[Chairman, Director Yoo is here.]
"Send him in."
Creeeak.
"Chairman!"
The door opened. Han Se-jin's right-hand man, Secretary Yoo Hyun-woo, entered.
"The man you mentioned! Just now at Korea University Hospital...!"
"I know. Watching on the news."
"...Understood."
Yoo, tasked with monitoring the masked savior, fell silent. No need to report if the chairman already knew. Just await orders.
"Sigh..."
As expected, Han exhaled, then addressed Yoo.
"Contact Korea University Hospital. Tell them I'm coming personally."
"Yes, sir."
As I'd predicted. Those who never queued were on the move.
