Enemy Reset: Cheat Code for Cash
I discovered the Enemy Reset Mod as a way to make money. The first time I found it, I wondered if it could actually work, so I decided to test it out.
"Hey."
"...What? Me?"
"Who else is here, you fucking retard?"
"...Is this old fucker crazy? Been drinking in the middle of the day?!"
On the weekends—Saturday and Sunday—the time slots permitted to me. During that window, I ran a ton of tests on the street thugs lurking in back alleys.
Of course, I considered the possibility of failure. All I had to do was pick a fight. If the mod didn't work as expected, I'd beat the shit out of them with the Martial Arts Motion Mod and bolt.
I didn't worry about the cops. One of the mods available to me was the Assassin Mask Additional Mod.
Assassin Mask Additional Mod
Using this mask during crimes hides your identity.
And naturally, I never needed to use the assassin's mask.
"This fucker's asking to die...!!"
Enemy Reset Mod
"......"
The guy I'd picked a fight with froze for a second, his expression blank, then just walked off like nothing happened.
The Enemy Reset Mod worked perfectly.
This is straight-up the sweetest cheat ever...
Enemy Reset. It was a mod created to fix a bug in UnderDream.
UnderDream boasts the highest degree of freedom among fantasy games. That means theft and murder are allowed too. Kill someone, pickpocket, or even slaughter a chicken, and the surrounding NPCs turn hostile toward the player.
One of the bugs that cropped up: that hostility wouldn't reset sometimes.
The Enemy Reset Mod fixes that bug by forcibly clearing the NPCs' hostility.
"Team leader."
"Huh? What."
"Whoa, fly on your face!"
Smack!
"Gah! Y-you crazy fuck?! What the hell?!"
Enemy Reset Mod
Ding!
"Fly gone?"
"Yes, perfectly shooed it away."
"Good, now get back to work."
In the game, it was just for clearing bugs or easily resolving crimes. But using it in reality? Nothing could be more useful.
If I'm not careful, this'll become a habit.
I could slap the face of any asshole boss I wanted to punch. The mod erased their hostility toward me, but the memory stuck.
It just reframed my actions as non-hostile.
And the mod's biggest advantage? The memories remained.
"Hey, deputy."
"Yes?"
"Come here for a sec."
For example, if Park Jae-jun called me over.
"What is it?"
"......"
He had no hostility from getting slapped, but the memory lingered.
"Uh, ahem... about the materials you submitted. Could you send them with more images?"
"Sure, I'll revise them that way."
"Yeah..."
No grudge from the slap, but the memory of getting hit made him change his behavior.
And that memory retention opened up another possibility.
"Nngh, ahn... Ji-hoon..."
"What? Busy? You said it was no big deal before."
"But..."
In the company break room. I was kneading Kim Seon-ha's massive tits with both hands.
Kim Seon-ha didn't run or scream. It was already etched in her memory as no big deal.
"Hng, nn..."
She just grimaced uncomfortably, stifling her moans.
As I groped her tits to my heart's content.
"S-stop...! Any more and it's sexual harassment...!"
When she started turning hostile beyond her memory's limit.
Enemy Reset
Ding!
"......"
After activating the mod, Deputy Kim Seon-ha reverted to her usual icy expression.
"...No more business?"
"Nah, I'm done groping."
"Then I'll be going."
Her reaction was so straight out of an UnderDream NPC, it was ridiculous.
Does the tolerance limit based on memory vary by person?
There was one part I couldn't quite figure out.
For Park Jae-jun, even with the memory that 'getting slapped is no big deal,' one smack and he'd flare up immediately.
But for Kim Seon-ha, with 'groping tits is no big deal' in her memory, she'd let me do it a few times without snapping.
Better not overuse it just in case.
Anyway, thanks to the Enemy Reset Mod, company life became a breeze.
"Haa~, kicking back after work makes me feel human again..."
I got off right on time today. The boss—who I'd given four slaps to the gut and a punch—suddenly stopped making us pull overtime lately.
If he boldly declared, "I'll stay late and work!" his face would go pale, and he'd urgently shoo me out.
Thanks to that, early exit. And after clocking out, I headed straight home without driving for a service.
No more designated driving gigs from now on.
Gotta quit the pub side job soon too.
I'd been working like a maniac solely to pay off the loan shark debt.
But now that I could use mods, no need to put up with those bastards anymore.
If I wanted, I could kill them and bury the bodies without a trace.
"Still, I'd prefer to end it peacefully if possible... Any way to make money?"
Thud.
After a shower, I flopped onto the bed.
I scrolled YouTube, searching videos and comparing them to the mods I could use, pondering money-making ideas.
Eh, living like this wasn't bad. No more shitty driving or part-time hell.
Park Jae-jun at work no longer acted like a prick.
And as a bonus, during breaks, I could grope Kim Seon-ha's tits and ass to my heart's content.
Compared to just days ago, when every day was hell, this was paradise.
But.
Still, with these hard-earned powers, I wanna try all sorts of shit.
Might as well go for a massive windfall and live like a chaebol?
With mods, it wasn't impossible.
"Tch... Use the weapon addition mod to craft and sell weapons? ...Legal?"
But since they were fantasy game mods, I had to think of proper uses.
Raw application screamed crime.
Mods generally fell into five categories: [Environment Improvement], [System Improvement], [Equipment Magic Addition], [Motion Addition], [NPC Addition].
All the mods I could use fit within those, and only ones I'd installed in UnderDream before.
So requesting a money-duplication mod from the modder was out.
"Hmm... Magic for a magic show?"
As I brainstormed ways using my available mods.
"...Phew, break time."
I took a rest. I'd gone to the office and hadn't properly relaxed while hunting money ideas.
I lay on the bed, watching other YouTube vids.
"...Huh?"
Then I spotted it.
"Whoa... this... yeah, this ain't illegal at all."
The video was one I often watched for comfort: misfortune documentaries.
Vids featuring unhappy people and their lives. Seeing folks worse off than me gave some solace.
I watched habitually during my break, as usual.
"This could work..."
And there, I saw potential.
Next day.
"Ah~, deputy. Good work today. Head out."
"Thanks, see you tomorrow."
"Yeah, yeah. Safe trip~!"
I left the company with the boss's usual ass-kissing sendoff.
Normally, I'd tease him by saying I'd stick around longer, but today I bounced quick.
"Where is it..."
I slipped into the first-floor company bathroom, locked the door, and rummaged my bag.
Out came a hoodie and mask.
The hoodie was nothing special—just a regular one.
But the mask was unique: the Assassin's Mask I'd prepped for testing Enemy Reset on thugs.
"This should do."
I threw the hoodie over my shirt, then my jacket on top.
Pulled the hood low, donned the mask.
Instantly, I looked like a chuunibyou high schooler.
Doing this at my age is kinda funny.
But no choice—had to hide my face.
"No one'll recognize me like this?"
The assassin's mask handled identity anyway.
...Still felt iffy.
"Ah, grow taller too? ...Might draw eyes, actually good."
Inspiration struck. I fired up the Additional Customization Mod right away.
As I went to slide the height bar.
"Hm...?"
I noticed a customization feature I'd missed before.
"What, saves too?"
It was the [Load] list at the top of the customization screen.
Load meant save existed.
I recalled saving character customizations in UnderDream back in the day.
"Right, imported other people's presets as CME files too..."
Idea flashing, I acted fast.
First, save current customization.
Ding!
Save as 'Lee Ji-hoon'?
Created the save file, then back to customization.
Cranked height past 190cm to 2m.
Tweak face a bit too. Test run...
Made my handsome face more rugged and imposing, like a fighter.
Actor vibes shifted to MMA champ.
Saved that preset as a CME file easily.
Ding!
Please name the preset.
The system prompted for a name.
Normally just my name... but wait.
I tested with a different name.
"Something like... hm... [GOD]? Yeah."
Casual name, fitting the image for what I'd do next.
Saved.
Grinddd.
"Grrraaahh...!!"
The body-shifting sensation from before spread through me.
My height grew steadily until I had a 2m view.
But that wasn't the point now.
"ID, ID...!"
I checked my wallet's ID right after transforming.
"Ha, haha...!"
I laughed in admiration.
My current face: customized fighter vibe.
But the ID photo: still the actor-like 'Lee Ji-hoon.'
"Separate save files make me a whole different person."
This meant I could switch looks freely without messing with people's memory of 'Lee Ji-hoon.'
"Makes things way easier."
I grinned at the mirror, straightening my tie.
Clothes resized naturally with the customization.
"Alright, let's go."
I stepped out of the company building.
Hailed a taxi.
"To Korea University Hospital, please."
Off to Korea's largest hospital.
