The stream ended smoothly.
Well, "smoothly" might not be the right word...
"You absolute blockhead...!"
"Who are you calling a blockhead?!"
It ended in an absolute blaze.
Naturally, the community's reaction was unanimous.
So are these two dating or what? [9]
(Clip 1 of Dodo and Vini bickering)
(Clip 2 of Dodo and Vini bickering)
(Clip 3 of Dodo and Vini bickering)
Unbelievably, all three of these clips happened in the span of just ten minutes;;
Seriously, aren't they dating?
Vini viewer here [10]
I've seriously never seen Vini act like this before.
No matter how mad Vini gets, she rarely swears or loses her temper, but she was genuinely pissed this time. It shocked me.
Especially the back smash after the reality gank. That was a legendary clip.
Who even is Dodo in real life?
Right now, there are at least three hot posts about Lee Yebin and me on the streaming community boards.
And more keep popping up as I refresh the page.
I wondered if it was really worth all this fuss, but then again, it kind of made sense.
Lee Yebin and I have streaming styles that are similar yet vastly different.
While I mostly stream games, relying on my skills and banter to carry the show, Lee Yebin has zero gaming skills but carries her stream with a (supposedly) cute voice and over-the-top reactions.
Our two styles, similar yet distinct, had now been completely shattered by each other.
In my case, all my witty banter flew out the window as I turned into a brainless troll. As for Yebin, her reality gank completely shattered her cute-voiced persona, replacing it with raw, unadulterated rage.
That was probably why the viewers found it so entertaining.
Thanks to that, the clips were pulling in impressive view counts.
The thumbnail—featuring Yebin's and my avatars glaring at each other while Marty and Ggumyong's characters stood in the background with awkward smiles—was a masterpiece.
And the view count? Even more of a masterpiece.
It was more than triple my usual views.
At this rate, I was sure my views would surpass my subscriber count for the first time in a while. No, I was absolutely certain of it.
Yebin's views were actually slightly higher than mine, and hers would definitely surpass her subscriber count soon.
Just as I was thinking about how lucrative this could be...
Ding!
A KokoaTalk notification popped up.
I checked the message. As expected, it was Marty.
Marty's video, which showed the perspective of a third-party observer, had already surpassed two hundred thousand views.
His channel was much larger, so it made sense his views were higher. Plus, Marty had been riding the algorithm wave lately.
My video's views had probably benefited from the spillover effect.
Honestly, the prospect of doing content with Lee Yebin wasn't appealing. If anything, I actively disliked the idea.
Even so, I agreed because the views would likely be incredible. It would probably boost my live stream viewership too.
From a purely capitalistic standpoint, Yebin and I made a pretty decent team.
Even if the thought of it left a bad taste in my mouth.
"Sigh..."
A sigh escaped my lips. How did I end up in a position where I might have to do content with Lee Yebin?
I should have found a way to reject Marty's collab offer.
But with my channel currently plateauing, it was hard to turn down an offer from a bigger streamer like Marty.
Collaborating with someone of his size was a golden opportunity to siphon some of his viewers.
As I was killing time scrolling through my phone, another unwelcome message arrived.
Instant, casual insults right off the bat. Yep, this was our relationship in a nutshell.
Feeling annoyed, I decided to change Yebin's contact name.
[Piggy]
Yeah, this was much better.
A proposal? What proposal? There was one?
The moment I replied that I hadn't received it, Marty sent over a content proposal.
The title of the proposal was none other than The Quiz Show of Doom. It was a title that practically reeked of trouble.
I opened the document, and a hollow laugh escaped my throat.
I had to do this? Seriously?
The views would definitely be good. There was no way they wouldn't be.
But there was one minor problem...
"I just really don't want to do it."
I simply didn't want to put myself through it.
To ensure genuine reactions, the questions wouldn't be revealed beforehand. The concept was for them to ask Yebin and me questions, and we would have to answer them.
The game chosen for the content was DigCraft. We would build a wooden house in DigCraft and shoot the show inside it.
How did my life come to this? My head was starting to throb.
When I replied like that, Yebin sent a message that practically radiated irritation.
Oh, so she was actually capable of calculating things like this.
I was mildly impressed.
I wondered why the sheer rage vibrating through Yebin's insults felt so satisfying.
I checked my phone again.
I watched the clip of our debate that had been uploaded to the community.
"Hey, but what the hell is a spoon-fork?"
"It's a fork-spoon."
"It's a spoon-fork!"
"It's a fork-spoon."
"Are you stupid? In English, it's a spork, which is spoon plus fork. So spoon-fork is correct."
"In Korea, everyone calls it a fork-spoon."
"We should follow the original language!"
"Even in the military, they call it a pokarak!"
"You haven't even been to the military, why are you bringing that up?"
"Taste the pokarak punch of a draft-exempt!"
"Ow! That hurts! Stop hitting me! I'm serious, it hurts! Hey! Heyyy! I'm gonna die...!"
For the record, I actually killed Yebin with a spork.
Never disrespect the spork. What the hell is a "spoon-fork"? It's either a spork or a fork-spoon.
No? It's a spork?
Whatever, that's how I learned it. Sure, I haven't served in the military, but I've heard things.
As I kept scrolling through my phone, ignoring the debate...
Ding!
KokoaTalk chimed again.
Knowing she would keep acting cute to make my stomach churn if I didn't buy it, I quickly ordered the burgers.
I ordered her usual burger set along with mine, took a screenshot of the confirmation screen, and sent it to her.
Only after receiving the screenshot did Yebin stop her horrific, funeral-dirge-like aegyo.
I swear, this crazy girl knows exactly how repulsive she's being.
Otherwise, there was no way she could act cute so shamelessly.
As I lay there rolling around with those thoughts...
Ding-dong~ Ding-dong~
Sure enough, Yebin had already marched over to my place.
"Come in."
"Hi~!"
Yebin walked into my apartment as if she owned the place, headed straight for the living room, and plopped herself down on the sofa.
Seriously, what is wrong with her?
