Don't Throw a Tantrum
The game had started.
Of course, neither of us changed our outfits. In my case, that meant a bunny-girl outfit with a black model face, and in Lee Yebin’s, an idol-girl look.
They were, in every possible sense, two incredibly stubborn people.
The moment the loading finished, I gave Lee Yebin one simple order.
“Turn on follow.”
“Follow?”
“Yeah. You know what it does, right?”
“I know, but why?”
Follow, in simple terms, was a function that made one member of our team jump out of the plane and follow someone else.
The reason I said it was simple.
“I’ve got to take you wherever I go. So set it to follow.”
I meant exactly what I said. In this game called Shooting Ground, just getting off the plane was a test of skill.
Where you dropped, from what angle, and how you fell in all counted as major elements of skill.
So if I marked a spot and said, Come to the optimal route from here!, there was absolutely no doubt Lee Yebin would find some bizarre way to land, which was why I wanted her to lock on follow.
But then…
The viewers were having some really weird reactions.
No, seriously, where in that sentence did they find all this sweetness? Were they maybe watching someone else’s stream instead of mine?
Even Lee Yebin was reacting like that now.
“Then I should just set it and ride the bus, huh?”
“Yeah. You think you can actually land properly if I turn it off and just mark a spot for you? You can’t.”
“I can too, though?”
And then, for some reason, a sudden streak of pride flared up in her, and Lee Yebin turned follow off.
“I warned you.”
“I waaaned youu~”
She was trying to make fun of me by mocking the exact way I teased her.
But somehow, it wasn’t even annoying. That wasn’t how you were supposed to do it.
No good. I was going to have to train our hopeless Yebin myself.
“Okay, Vini-vini-vini.”
“What.”
“Repeat after me~”
“…That already sounds insanely annoying. Can’t I just not do it?”
“I waaarned youu~”
“…… You son of a bitch.”
The instant the swear word burst out of Lee Yebin’s mouth, an indescribable rush of satisfaction surged through me like a flood.
Yes. This was what I wanted. This was exactly the reaction I wanted.
Meanwhile, the viewers were in a completely different mood.
“There was never any sugary atmosphere to begin with~ This is Dodo-Vini style We Got Married~”
Honestly, editing this seemed easy enough to me.
While pretending to get ready for the game, I quietly sent Hyeon-su a message on Concord.
[Hyung]
[How’s the editing?]
Since Hyeon-su was already monitoring my stream in real time, he replied right away.
[Hyeon-su: Honestly, it’ll be insane lol]
[Hyeon-su: This whole new-concept We Got Married is wild]
Yeah, that was it.
Feeling deeply satisfied to myself, the game finally began…
And just as I expected, Lee Yebin was moving along some half-baked route I’d marked for her.
“Hey, pop your parachute a little earlier.”
“Pop it earlier? When!?”
“...Now.”
Lee Yebin heard me and quickly opened her parachute, and I started guiding her from there.
“Keep coming straight down. You’ve got to stay under the parachute as long as possible if you want to make it all the way over there.”
“Uh… I’m descending too fast…?”
Of course it was going to turn out like this.
“Tsk. Hey. Just drop into any building and hole up, or find a car and link up with me.”
“H-hey…! You’re just gonna leave me behind?”
“Goodbye, Vini! You have to stay strong without me!”
“You crazy psycho!”
“I told you I’d get you there~”
I landed cleanly in the dense cluster of buildings I’d been aiming for and started looting at my leisure.
Meanwhile, after hearing me out, Lee Yebin seemed to have gone straight into turtle mode.
She entered one building and didn’t move a muscle.
“Our Vini is hiding in there~?”
“You told me to hide…!”
“If someone comes, what, too bad?”
“How are you so damn irresponsible…!”
Irresponsible? I definitely told her to turn on follow. I was the one trying to take responsibility here.
“You said you’d take responsibility with me.”
“When did I ever say that!?”
“At the point you turned follow off?”
“You were provoking me, that’s why!”
“So you’re saying it’s my fault for getting baited? That’s on you! It’s your fault, Vini-vini-vini-vini!!”
“How is that my fault!!!”
The more Lee Yebin’s furious shouting rang out, the higher my combat power seemed to climb. Was this what they called an adrenaline rush?
Meanwhile, the viewers seemed to have decided to just accept the situation as it was.
“What do I do if she gets sulky? I’d say that’s even better.”
How is this not We Got Married, you ask? You wanted We Got Married, so I gave you We Got Married.
Then, all of a sudden, Lee Yebin started making a huge fuss.
“Hey, hey hey hey! Someone’s here! Someone’s hereeee!!!”
Someone’s here?
“What gun do you have?”
“I-I-I have a shotgun…! What was this thing again? Th-the pump!”
A pump shotgun?
“Then take one of them with you. That thing’s enough to do your job.”
“That just means I’m taking one with me and dying anyway…!”
“If you play it right, you’ll take both of them.”
“I can’t take them…!”
“Can’t take them? Then there’s nothing to it.”
“Jinjooo sassageyo.”
“What the hell do you mean, Jinjooo sassageyo, you idiot! Hurry up and come save me!!”
“I’m still missing some parts for my loadout, though…”
“Aaaagh! Just come save me already! They’re coming! The others are comingggg!!”
The moment she finished speaking, a notice flashed in the upper right corner.
Etraqqq >> ViniVini
It was the notification that Lee Yebin had died.
“Kyaaaaaaa!!!”
Her scream rattled my ears so hard it felt like they might burst, and I started snapping at her in irritation.
“Jeez, shut up a little.”
“How am I supposed to stay quiet…! They even blew open the wall to get in…!”
What? Blew open the wall? That meant they’d used sticky bombs.
“Then you did your part.”
“Really?”
“Really. That’s good enough. Better than I expected.”
“…… What’s that supposed to mean?”
What do you mean, what’s it supposed to mean?
“I just thought you’d die to a single bullet.”
“You really wanna die, don’t you.”
While I finished looting at a comfortable pace during that exchange, I asked Lee Yebin a question just in case.
“Hey, Vini.”
“What.”
“You’re not dead yet, right?”
“Yeah, not dead yet.”
“Okay.”
I got on a folding bicycle and headed toward the building where Lee Yebin was downed.
“Hey, just tell me roughly where those guys are.”
“Where? Uh, uh… one inside the building, one outside.”
“Can you see them from where you are?”
“No, I can’t see them.”
If I had a rough location, that was enough.
The moment I reached the building where Lee Yebin was, I hid the bicycle away and killed my footsteps as much as possible before pressing myself against the outer wall.
One of them was outside looting, and the other was camping inside the building.
So what I had to do was simple.
After waiting a moment, someone burst out from the building next door.
It had to be one of the guys who killed Lee Yebin.
-Rat-tat-tat-tat!
The instant I revealed myself and pulled the trigger, the guy’s head was pierced by my bullets.

One down. Of course, I didn’t go for the confirm. The moment I finished him off, he might get angry and kill Lee Yebin for real.
“You don’t know whether she’s on the second floor or the first, right?”
“Uh… probably the second floor…!”
The second floor. Since Lee Yebin had died on the second floor too, that was reliable enough.
“Stick yourself to the corner of the wall as much as you can.”
“The corner…?”
“Yeah. You can crawl, can’t you?”
“O-okay….”
With a fairly uncertain voice, Lee Yebin crawled into the corner of the wall. After confirming that, I went back around to the exterior wall of the building and then…
-Swish! Tap!
-Swish! Tap!
I slapped two sticky bombs onto the side far away from Lee Yebin.
-Tatata!
The moment I saw the bombs stuck to the ceiling, I backed away so I wouldn’t get caught in the blast, and then…
-BOOOOM!!!
The entire second floor of the house was blown away by the sticky bombs.
“Mother—!?”
Startled, Lee Yebin suddenly began calling for her mother, but that wasn’t the important part.
What mattered was that almost every wall shielding the second floor had collapsed, exposing the coward hiding in the little side room.
-Rat-tat-tat-tat!
DodoDa >> Etraqqq
After taking down the last man who had killed Lee Yebin, I spoke as sweetly as possible.
“Vini, are you okay?”
“Dodooo… thank youuuu….”
And just like that, Lee Yebin began her little spoiled-girl routine.
The viewers’ reaction to that spoiled little performance was enormous.
Yeah, to be honest, that was a pretty timid We Got Married move.
But listen.
I didn’t want to hear her acting all spoiled like that.
-Bang!
Team kill!
A brief silence. Then…
“Don’t go throwing a fit, you little brat. You’re just my airborne drone. I’ll bring you back with the Dragon Balls.”
“You insane psycho bastardddddddd!!!”
Lee Yebin’s rage.
The moment Lee Yebin went full meltdown, that was it. It was the best. So exhilarating. So incredibly new.
