Top Instructor Grid's Sex Ed Class (1)
“Let me ask again: are you really a person from this world?”
When I hesitated without answering, Orellia asked once more.
Her eyes, half filled with wariness and half with curiosity, bored into my face.
Should I tell Orellia about the possession? She seemed pretty favorable toward me, and given her long life, she might even buy it.
“I don't really know about that myself.”
“You don't know?”
“Yeah. I'm just an ordinary human from the East. It was only after coming to the Empire that I first met folks outside the norm, like you said.”
I decided to play dumb.
Just because I knew a character's personality from the story didn't mean they'd automatically be on my side.
Take that near-kidnapping by the count—he wasn't a bad guy, right?
“I'm the most curious about that 'twist of causality' stuff myself. Because of it, I lost the blessing you gave me and nearly died.”
Curiosity killed the cat. With my extra life already gone, better to skip anything I didn't need to know.
“I see.”
“That's right.”
Orellia looked unsatisfied, but what could she do? I said I didn't know.
“Normally, this would warrant magical torture or a confession spell...”
Eek! Crazy psycho knowledge-hungry lizard!
“How could I do that to my benefactor? Let it slide.”
Orellia smacked her lips regretfully. If I'd fed her Dragon's Breath instead of capsaicin extract, I'd have been her lab rat on the spot.
Time for flattery mode.
“Your grace humbles me.”
“My grace?”
“It's an Eastern expression of endless gratitude for a superior's favor.”
“Enough bootlicking. Go home now. I'll make sure that mosquito doesn't interfere anymore.”
Whoa, solid backup! True dragon style. Couldn't let this honey pot slip away.
“Thank you, Orellia. If there's anything you want, just say the word—I'll have it ready at the general store.”
“Sure.”
I bowed 90 degrees in thanks, then hurried out of the Academy.
I glanced back, half-expecting lightning or something flashy, but there was no sound, no light.
Today's expenses: 99 gold + ice cream, and one life. Total loss.
“President, even if I don't kill you, I'll make you suffer big time.”
Clutching my bitter, rage-boiling gut, I headed to the inn.
“Sex ed? Me?”
“Yes, that's the condition that mosquito set.”
The next morning, Orellia—back in human form like yesterday—dropped a total bombshell.
Sex ed? To me? Why?
The original story did have a sex ed class in general studies. Amelria listened for three minutes, turned beet red, and bolted.
“Why me, a mere merchant, instead of the Academy instructors?”
“Who knows? He said to tell them the schedule issue is settled with this.”
Ah. I recalled what the old-man-disguised president said yesterday.
'Come today, and he won't hold the Academy schedule paralysis against you at all...'
Wait, weird. Whatever his goal, I did go meet him. I'm innocent here.
“I did agree, but it was just a visit.”
“Oh, and he tacked on 150 gold at the end.”
“When's the date and lecture time?”
150 gold. Whoa! Bulgogi seasoning for 1,500 servings!
Skill leveled to 3, so item prices had gone nuts.
Just yesterday, I checked pistol prices in my room—base over 200 gold.
Insane for a one-time lecture fee.
Even 10 gold would've had me calling him 'President sir' again.
“I still don't get why humans obsess over shiny metal.”
Orellia eyed my 180-degree attitude flip with curiosity.
Isn't that a dragon cliché? Obsessed with treasure?
“I've had a lot of expenses lately. No place in the Empire pays 150 gold a day.”
“Really? Pity. My kin have gold everywhere.”
Orellia once obsessed too. Her difference: she got numb to it fast.
Around chapter 752, she left Amelria's side after getting used to 'friendship.'
Early second year at the Academy, right? Gotta fix that early.
“It's for all freshmen, tomorrow at 2 PM. Two hours in the grand hall.”
“Tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow.”
Orellia nodded to confirm I'd heard right.
Do people here have a disease where they can't schedule ahead?
Never had leisure time since arriving.
“Plenty to gripe about, but the pay's too good.”
What can you do? If they say jump, you jump.
“Any other conditions?”
Orellia pondered, then listed more.
“No bringing assistants for demos.”
No way, what the hell? Who does live demos in front of freshmen!?
“Some instructor tried.”
Okay, fair. Got it.
I nodded understanding, and she continued.
“No pointing out students to shame them.”
Of course, obvious.
“Answer every student question.”
Sigh. Tricky.
I'm inexperienced myself. These kids, with engagements and marriages young, probably have more mileage than me.
“Conditions are iffy, but negotiating means seeing the president, huh?”
“Probably. Not recommended.”
Damn.
“Got it. One day of class it is.”
“I'll pass it on.”
Orellia left coolly, done with her business.
Time for research.
“You want to know about continental sexual culture?”
“Yes. You're the only one I can ask.”
I went to the inn to pick the Inn Manager's brain on local norms.
Other candidates were women or too high-status. Author, couldn't loosen up the 19+ chapters a bit?
“Of course, no trouble for our VIP.”
I got the rundown: socially okay from 16, kinks similar to modern times.
But...
“Almost no contraception?”
“Yes. Requires preemptive magic, but it's not popular...”
Oh my god. No alchemical birth control yet. Church says conception is natural.
Only option: contraception spell, but rumors spread instantly.
“What if a student gets pregnant?”
“No penalties from Academy, but most drop for childbirth and childcare.”
Whoa, hormonal youths playing Russian roulette? Makes no sense.
Not all bad: sex = baby mindset means they only go all-in for true love.
Breaks and orphans still happen, though.
“Why the sudden interest? New product?”
“Ah, got hired as a one-day instructor for freshmen sex ed.”
“Freshmen?”
Inn Manager's eyes widened.
“Grid, just to check—Silbi isn't a freshman this year, is she?”
“Huh?”
Oh right? My 'sister' Silbi's a freshman too?
Cold sweat. Sex ed in front of people I know—my little sis publicly?
Damn, why didn't I think of that?
Murmurs rose around the Academy bulletin board as students gathered, whispering.
Why the crowd?
Curious, Silbi approached.
“That's replacing tomorrow's afternoon class?”
“Sex ed? We know it all already.”
“Oh my, how scandalous.”
Various opinions buzzed. Silbi eyed the posted notice.
All incoming freshmen must attend this education session.
Failure to complete will result in dormitory disqualification and irrecoverable grade penalties across all future classes.
Tomorrow at 2 PM in the grand hall, for 2 hours. All afternoon classes canceled.
Non-freshmen interested may attend in place of classes for full credit.
Faculty from various departments will be present—wear proper attire and maintain decorum.
Sex ed instead of tomorrow's classes.
Silbi frowned at the notice.
Don't wanna go... but skipping hurts graduation.
Irrecoverable penalties—A must for contract-bound Silbi.
“Hey, who's this special instructor?”
“Grid? Never heard. No surname—commoner?”
Grid?
While reading, a familiar name hit Silbi.
Special instructor?
Below the president's seal: [Special Instructor Grid]
That guy doing sex ed?
The man who adopted her without ulterior motives, never touched her even sharing a bed.
Him, teaching thousands of students.
What're you planning now?
Puzzled by Grid's unpredictable intent, Silbi paused—then headed to the dorms.
Gotta dress cute tomorrow.
