Chapter 92
"Anyway, you're a spoiled rich girl. There are so many girls out there grinding away at part-time jobs, and here you are complaining without even having to lift a finger. Let's just order something tasty."
"Sure."
Han Yaseong flipped through the delivery menu booklet alongside Eun-a sunbae. She must have been craving all sorts of things she hadn't had in ages, because she ordered a bunch of different items. It felt like she'd called him over specifically for this—eating delivery alone in the clubroom would've been kinda awkward.
Han Yaseong made all the calls to place the orders one by one, then glanced at Eun-a sunbae.
"So that's why you called me here. To eat."
"Yeah. Hehe, busted? I did say I'd treat you to something delicious."
"I thought you were seducing me or something. Had me on edge."
"What?"
Eun-a sunbae burst out laughing. She really did look pretty when she smiled behind those glasses. If she dolled herself up a bit more and went on a blind date or mixer, she'd snag a boyfriend in no time. But her dad was terrifying, so there wasn't much she could do about it. Still, holding onto her virginity until marriage would probably make her chaebol groom thrilled. He'd treat her even better, cheat less with celebrity side chicks. There had to be some perks to purity.
They chatted for a while until the delivery food started arriving one by one. Chicken first, then jjajangmyeon and sweet-and-sour pork, jokbal and bossam, even aged kimchi and braised short ribs—all piling up on the table. Way too much for two people.
Han Yaseong and Jang Eun-a dug in, chatting about this and that. But Eun-a sunbae just took a few polite bites of each before setting her chopsticks down, saying she was full. Han Yaseong eyed the mountain of leftovers.
"You done already?"
"Yeah. Sorry. I always just taste a little bit of everything."
Classic upper-class mindset shining through. Her face showed zero regret at the thought of tossing it all. But Han Yaseong was from humble roots. Wasting this much food felt criminal.
"Guess I'll take the rest then."
"Why?"
"Gonna bring it home and eat it."
"If that's the case, I'll order you fresh stuff. You can't take leftovers like that. I ate off some of it. It's dirty."
"It's fine. Nothing you touched could ever be dirty to me."
He planned to portal the leftovers to the other world and share with Yadong. No big deal. He repackaged everything without a second thought. Jang Eun-a watched him pack up even the bits she'd eaten from, and something tugged at her heart. Nothing I touched is dirty. That hit her strangely, a sharp little pang in her chest.
She still couldn't wrap her head around why Choi Yujin was seeing Han Yaseong. Her ex was Seo Tae-ha, the ace of the university with a massive fan club. Compared to him, Han Yaseong was barely a blip. Yet high-standards Yujin was head over heels for this nobody. That's why Eun-a had made a point to call him, meet up like this—to figure out what the hell made him so special.
Yujin had once said this about him:
"Um, he just... makes me feel good. Yaseong does."
She hadn't gotten it back then. But now? Kinda starting to. Seeing him dutifully pack her scraps without a hint of disgust—it made her chest ache in a good way. No, if anyone else did it, it'd piss her off. She'd snap, Why the hell are you taking my leftovers? Gross, like a beggar. But with Han Yaseong? It was different. Maybe because he was two years younger, her junior. Felt fresh, kinda nice. Like looking at a cute puppy trailing after her. That must've been what Yujin meant.
She'd gone on: Watch his words and actions closely. Don't judge by appearances—look at his inner self. Then you'd see why he was special. And if you really wanted to know for sure? Sleep with him. That's how she figured it out herself.
But that was impossible for Jang Eun-a. She had to stay pure until her arranged marriage. No sex. Still, she could observe him, get a read on what kind of guy he was. That's why she'd called him today—not just for delivery, but to uncover his so-called specialness.
As far as she knew, Yujin was proud, picky as hell. Most guys weren't even on her radar. Yet here she was, not just dating Han Yaseong but sleeping with him. And not leading—she'd basically surrendered to him. Said she could never win in bed. That he'd have her on all fours like a dog, ass up.
Eun-a couldn't stand the curiosity. What made him so special? She had to know. That's why she'd summoned him for proper observation. Earlier, he still seemed totally average. But watching him repackage her leftovers? Her heart fluttered a bit. Was this it? His special something? Not sure yet. The curiosity burned on. She wanted to see what Yujin saw. What kind of guy is he, really?
And that cock kept flashing in her mind. His thick dick, limp and exposed as he lay naked... Burned into her brain like a photo, impossible to shake. Plus that musky room scent that wouldn't let her ignore him. Her curiosity festered until she mustered the courage to call. Felt like a maze or treasure hunt—fun. She'd decided to spend the tail end of boring summer break observing Han Yaseong. Half-expecting, half-dreading that it might change her life too. Yujin had already transformed body and soul after meeting him.
Jang Eun-a resolved to launch a full-on Han Yaseong expedition.
They lingered in the clubroom a bit longer before heading out of the annex building. But nowhere to go. 6 p.m.—perfect time for something fun, or awkwardly in-between if you had no plans.
Han Yaseong, hands full of food bags, looked at Eun-a sunbae.
"Got anywhere to be?"
"Nah. You?"
"Nope."
"Wanna go somewhere?"
Jang Eun-a wasn't ready to part ways yet. She'd come all the way to campus—might as well hang out more. Observe more.
Han Yaseong pondered briefly before asking,
"Wanna come to my place?"
"Your house?"
"Yeah. It's close by. Twenty-minute walk."
Jang Eun-a hesitated. Was it okay to go to a guy's place? Some women's mag had said it basically meant giving the green light for sex. What if something shady happened at his? Sure, probably not, but Yujin had warned: He's way stronger than he looks. Don't let the skinny vibe fool you. If he grabs you, you're not getting away.
Glancing at him now, she saw the difference. As a freshman, he'd been scrawny, zero muscle. But lately, baby fat gone, body filling out balanced. Now it was obvious. Baggy white cotton tee, but his neck muscles looked solid. Wrists sturdy, and those thick veins bulging on the backs of his hands gripping the bags. Yujin said he was hitting the gym hard. Not some weak herbivore anymore. Who'd call this guy scrawny? Bet that loose shirt hid some real power underneath.
Jang Eun-a tensed up.
"You won't try anything if you take me home, right?"
"Huh?"
"Yujin told me. Said you're super strong."
"And?"
"What if you drag me to your place and... rape me? You could, right?"
Han Yaseong was floored. So that's what she'd been mulling over. What the hell did she think he was? But then again, it meant she sensed the danger. Old him? She wouldn't have worried. Meant she'd picked up on his changes. He felt a quiet confidence—he'd shed the herbivore skin.
"You wouldn't come if I was gonna do that, right?"
"Yeah. So?"
"But I'd regret it. I don't do that stuff."
"Don't joke. If I lose my virginity, I couldn't live with myself."
Her face was dead serious. She'd lived 22 years under her dad's iron rule, purity her sole purpose. Lose it? She might actually off herself. Her dad wouldn't forgive the guy who ruined her—probably sic yakuza types on him, drag to a basement, beat to a pulp. Even if he survived, he'd wish he hadn't. Utterly wrecked. Miserable death guaranteed.
