Chapter 54
“If girls tempt you, you'd love that, right? You'd get all giddy and pop a boner.”
Han Yaseong couldn't figure out what Choi Yujin was getting at with that.
“Does that mean I shouldn't meet other girls?”
“Nah, not that.”
Choi Yujin shook her head. It didn't seem like that was it. Telling him not to see other women would feel too restrictive, and she didn't want that.
“But pick and choose wisely. If you go sleeping with low-class girls, you're done for right then and there.”
That was the only warning she could give. Even I don't know what I want. Choi Yujin's heart grew even more tangled, and she took a swig of beer with a sigh.
“Honestly, things between you and me are just too weird.”
“What's weird?”
“We're having sex, but we're not dating... Doesn't that feel off to you?”
“...No.”
To Han Yaseong, it didn't feel weird at all. If anything, it felt more natural than actually dating. Just meeting up now and then for some fun... What could be better? No nagging, no complications—just hook up when it's convenient and chill.
But that illusion shattered with Choi Yujin's next words.
“So, I can see other guys too, then?”
“......”
Han Yaseong couldn't respond. But his dislike was plain as day on his face.
Choi Yujin laughed at the sight.
“Looks like you wouldn't like me seeing other guys, huh?”
“......Yeah. I wouldn't.”
“But you're gonna see other girls? We were supposed to break up if one of us found someone else.”
“Only if you found another guy. That doesn't apply to me.”
“What? So even if you get another girl, you'd keep seeing me? You'd two-time me? You're such a player!”
Now Choi Yujin finally understood why Oh Jeonghun had said what he did. Han Yaseong had never planned on sticking to just one woman from the start. He had the mindset that seeing multiple was no big deal.
“And you'd dump me if I got another guy? How can you even think like that?”
“Because we're not dating.”
“......”
Choi Yujin was speechless. Right—we're not dating... So it shouldn't matter if we see other people. The deeper she dug, the more she felt herself sinking into some bottomless pit. She needed to nail this down right here, right now.
“So if we did date, you wouldn't see other girls?”
“Of course not. That's what dating means... I'd have to.”
“So it's just about manners, not because you love her.”
Something felt off. The more Choi Yujin talked with Han Yaseong, the stronger this dissonance grew. There was something missing in him. She couldn't pinpoint it, but it felt profoundly lonely... and scary. Was it because his parents abandoned him back in middle school? She could sense he wasn't the type to throw himself into love wholeheartedly.
But then, she was the same. Her life came first—not some all-consuming romance. She had no desire to give up everything for love, and no intention of doing so. Still, she didn't want to juggle multiple guys like Han Yaseong seemed to. Playing the field like that was for desperate, man-hungry women. Choi Yujin could have any guy she wanted, anytime. If she went single tomorrow, a horde would come running. She never lacked for options.
But Han Yaseong?
“You're the one who's been missing out, huh?”
Finally, it clicked for Choi Yujin. Han Yaseong had never been with a woman before, so of course he was curious. That's why he wanted to try them all. And yeah, have sex with them too. If a girl came on to him first, he'd pretend to resist but get hard anyway...
She couldn't help but laugh. He was still just a kid. That put her back at ease.
A guy in his prime. Of course he'd want to bang every girl out there, rack up conquests. That was every young dude's fantasy, right? Choi Yujin chalked it up to that—Han Yaseong dreaming like any other guy his age. Her budding jealousy faded completely, her heart lightening.
“Missing out?”
Han Yaseong flinched inwardly but played dumb. Seeing her smile, though, he felt like she'd seen right through him. Embarrassing as hell. Choi Yujin's instincts were sharp. A few words, and she'd nailed his innermost thoughts. Two years older wasn't just two years—she might as well be worlds ahead. If she were his age, she probably wouldn't get it. But nope, those extra two years made all the difference.
Choi Yujin took a couple sips of beer and continued.
“If you wanna meet other girls, go ahead. That's on your game. But you're too shy—girls won't approach unless you make it happen. I came to you first and seduced you, that's why we're here. If you'd tried picking me up? Total fail.”
“Yeah...”
True enough. He never could've seduced Choi Yujin. Zero chance. If she hadn't made the first move, he'd never have even held her hand.
“Anyway, seems like you wanna play the field. All guys your age do—this girl, that girl, bang 'em all. It's fine if you meet other girls, Yaseong.”
“Really okay?”
Her permission oddly bummed him out. It felt like slipping back into queen-and-servant mode. But then she added something.
“Just tell me who it is. Afterward.”
“Do what? You mean that?”
“Yeah. I need to know. Doesn't matter who, but if you end up having sex, you gotta tell me. It's my right as your first girl. Got it?”
“Sure. If it's just that...”
To Han Yaseong, it seemed no big deal, so he agreed easily. But peel back the layers, and it was anything but simple. Telling Choi Yujin about sleeping with another girl? That put her at the top of the pyramid. She was queen, the others mere concubines.
But he didn't see it that way. She just seemed curious, so why not?
Choi Yujin, though, had just secured ownership. Even if other girls came along, as long as he reported back, her spot was safe. Top of the women's pyramid, unchallenged.
She was upper-class through and through. Always on top, expecting it as her due. What Han Yaseong had just signed was basically a submission contract—reporting every lay to her in detail.
But other girls felt so unreal to him right now that agreeing was easy. Like answering “What would you do with 10 billion won?”—pure fantasy.
Still, true to her hotel management smarts, Choi Yujin planned ahead for what might come. His innocence reassured her.
Yeah, if he weren't so naive, I wouldn't bother.
She only hung with him because he was pure, no greed. Otherwise, no way she'd pick an average kicker like him, no matter his kicks. It was that killer footwork and his unique innocence that had her hooked. First guy like him she'd met. Made it easy, no pressure.
She tossed out a feeler for next steps.
“What about me? Should I go for guys who approach?”
He hated that. Han Yaseong shook his head right away.
“No way.”
“Why? You can see other girls, but I can't?”
“......Yeah.”
“You're so selfish! If I can't see anyone, neither should you. Fair's fair, right?”
True. He couldn't demand she stay exclusive while he played around. Selfish or not, greedy or not—that was his honest feeling. He couldn't stomach her with another guy.
“But I still hate it. If you meet another guy, we're done.”
“Just say you won't meet other girls, problem solved. You're hopeless. You want 'em that bad? Even with me here?”
“I... dunno.”
Han Yaseong couldn't sort it out himself. Did he even need other girls with Choi Yujin around? But it wouldn't settle in his mind. Kwon Seoha was part of it. He wanted to keep that tiny door cracked open. He might or might not meet others, but he didn't want to slam it shut forever.
