Chapter 53
Choi Yujin truly couldn't understand the reason why.
"Let's head in now. We'll be going too."
Han Yaseong issued a polite dismissal. There was no more business to discuss with Oh Jeonghun.
He neither denied nor affirmed Oh Jeonghun's claim that he himself would become a playboy. He'd never even considered such a thing.
It was just idle talk from a distant land, unworthy of his interest anyway.
Oh Jeonghun found Han Yaseong's unwavering composure subtly irritating to the end. No matter how extraordinary his inner qualities, Han Yaseong was no match for him in looks. Yet here he was, acting on equal footing, which bruised Oh Jeonghun's pride.
His own appearance was leagues ahead, but Han Yaseong seemed to have the edge in depth of character, which soured his mood. That sparked a competitive fire—he couldn't bear to lose.
Feeling defeated by a guy less handsome than him would be a lifelong humiliation for Kingka Oh Jeonghun.
"Come to Angel Club in Seoul sometime. I'll buy you a drink."
Inviting Han Yaseong was all about showing off. Once they met there, Han Yaseong would surely recognize his greatness. After all, he was the one who commanded all the attention in a club teeming with men and women.
Seeing that, he'd submit. Han Yaseong's looks were average, after all. In a place packed with kingkas and queenkas, he wouldn't stand out.
Han Yaseong saw right through Oh Jeonghun's scheme. It felt just like a rich kid dragging a poor one home to flaunt his wealth.
A faint sense of victory washed over him. But this time, he didn't let it show. Oh Jeonghun, the serial womanizer, had sharp instincts and might pick up on it.
"Sure, I'll drop by sometime."
He deliberately didn't refuse. That would feel even more victorious.
Oh Jeonghun's expression twisted ever so slightly. He'd invited him expecting a rejection at first. But the ready acceptance stung his pride even more.
"Yeah. Make sure you come. I'll be waiting."
Still, Oh Jeonghun played it cool, flashing a good-brother smile. Only bold nonchalance could salvage his ego.
As he did, he nodded to Choi Yujin, who stood quietly off to the side.
"Guess it's time for me to go. Choi Yujin, it was nice meeting you these past few days."
"Yeah..."
Choi Yujin gave a half-hearted reply. Her mind was elsewhere.
Oh Jeonghun smacked his lips inwardly at the sight of her in that red bikini. But there'd be another chance someday. Once Han Yaseong got himself another girl, this haughty beauty wouldn't hold out—pride or not.
Women gave in easily to other men in those moments. When that happened, Choi Yujin would be his.
It'd suck picking up someone else's scraps, but he could always dump her miserably later to make up for it.
"See you in Seoul sometime."
With that lingering hope, Oh Jeonghun turned away, his eyes flashing with menace as he left.
Han Yaseong let out a sigh and shook his head. It really was beyond him. That guy had kept his claws hidden to the bitter end.
What if it'd been Seo Taeha? Oh Jeonghun would've tucked tail and run, not even dreaming of competing.
But because he was so ordinary, the fool clung to his delusions right up to the last.
He could sense it: someday, he'd try to seduce and bed Senior Choi Yujin. What a tenacious bastard.
Or maybe he'd made him that way himself. After all, he'd provoked Oh Jeonghun.
The guy just couldn't admit defeat to someone so plain.
But it didn't matter. Senior Choi Yujin didn't belong to anyone anyway.
Oh Jeonghun didn't get that. It was all up to her whims.
"What're you thinking about?"
"Huh? Nothing."
Choi Yujin snapped out of her daze with a sigh. Looking up, she saw the sun had dipped considerably toward the west.
"Should we head in too?"
"Yeah."
Han Yaseong stepped out of the pool with Choi Yujin. Men lounging by nearby pools stole glances their way.
But the looks were totally different from before. They stared like cowed dogs, stripped of any confidence.
They'd all witnessed it: a ridiculously hot kingka approach, only to slink away without a peep—after a polite apology, no less.
No one dared make a move now. The plain guy next to the beauty didn't seem so plain anymore.
They figured he had something going on, so they shrank back, averting their eyes. He looked scrawny and laughable at first, but now? Like a brutal serial killer in disguise.
After watching that top-tier kingka get shot down, no man had the guts to approach Choi Yujin anymore.
Han Yaseong and Choi Yujin returned to their room and showered separately. He'd wanted to join her, but she'd slipped into the bathroom first with a casual "see you later," leaving him no choice.
Standing in the shower, lathering his hair, Han Yaseong pondered. Become a playboy? The idea was baffling.
Why had Oh Jeonghun said that? No one in their right mind would see him as playboy material.
His relationship with Senior Choi Yujin was a miracle in itself. Just yesterday, he'd been a total herbivore who'd never even held a girl's hand.
Yet to think he'd end up fending off women's temptations? It just made him chuckle wryly.
He wouldn't mind trying it once, though. As a man—a male—he did wonder what it felt like to have women fawning over him.
But they wouldn't tempt him. What was there to even tempt?
What happened with Senior Choi Yujin was a freak occurrence, like humans landing on Mars. Lightning wouldn't strike twice.
Meanwhile, under the shower's spray against her bare skin, Choi Yujin mulled it over too.
Han Yaseong becoming a playboy and making her suffer? Laughable. Utterly unrealistic.
Yet she cautiously considered the possibility. If other women learned he wasn't some herbivore, they wouldn't leave him alone.
Just showing off that insane kick would have plenty spreading their legs for him. And with his innocence—maybe even kindness—they'd swarm even more.
Actually, scratch the kindness. She wasn't sure about that yet.
Han Yaseong seemed innocent enough, but whether he was truly kind? Hard to say. He didn't give off that vibe.
Not kind, exactly—more like not selfish. That felt right.
These days, "kind" often meant a pushover who sacrificed and yielded everything. Didn't fit his personality at all.
And a playboy? Truth be told, she didn't care much if he became one.
Thinking it over, she doubted it'd hurt her heart. She still had no thoughts of dating or marrying him seriously.
Oh Jeonghun didn't realize that. Han Yaseong wasn't her boyfriend.
They were just together now because their hearts and bodies aligned—no deep love binding them.
So whether he played the field or not, it wouldn't be a big deal.
Choi Yujin just wanted to savor the moment. Who knew what the future held?
She didn't want to waste time fretting over unknowns.
Shaking off the thoughts, she continued her shower. Even soaping her naked body, a twinge of worry crept in.
She'd be in for it tonight too. She'd told him to do as he pleased.
Her breasts still ached from yesterday's rough handling, and her pussy felt sore from the pounding. Not sure if she'd hold up.
Yet she secretly looked forward to it, which amused her.
This casual thing with Han Yaseong was just right. Binding each other would spoil it.
That wasn't what she wanted—and probably not him either. He didn't seem the type to crave constant company.
Didn't he only hit her up when he wanted some? Otherwise, he showed no interest.
As she soaped her cleft and ass, a hint of bitterness hit her.
Feels like we're just fuckbuddies.
But if she hated that, they could go official. Then they'd have each other on lock.
She didn't want that, though. Not now, anyway. She planned to enjoy her freedom without a boyfriend for a while.
Damn Oh Jeonghun for stirring up needless complications.
Han Yaseong was just a freshman guy, nothing more. Shaking off the tangle of emotions, Choi Yujin finished up and stepped out.
Back in the room, they ordered sushi delivery and ate while chatting about this and that—including what Oh Jeonghun had said.
"You really gonna become a playboy?"
"No way that's happening."
"But if girls tempt you, you'll fall for it."
"Who knows."
Han Yaseong brushed it off as distant hypotheticals. He just scarfed down the sushi. Needed fuel for tonight's exertions.
But Choi Yujin couldn't let it slide, a flicker of womanly jealousy bubbling up.
