Recruiting the Seola Hit Squad (1/5)
In the Wasteland, killing other players carries no penalty whatsoever. As is the norm in any game, this braindead gank zone is the place Lord of the Warrior users avoid like the plague. And they avoid it so hard that if the daily random quest gets set to the Wasteland, they'd sooner skip the whole day's quest than go. The penalties from dying hurt way more than the quest rewards, so unless you're a dopamine junkie, ditching a Wasteland daily has become the unwritten rule.
How many people in this world could live without laws? If society had no rules, the catastrophe you'd get is on full display in the Wasteland. Even clean gamers who are nice to everyone, flexible types who avoid making enemies, influencers with too much to lose—they all turn into bloodthirsty murderers itching to lop off heads the moment they step foot there.
Seola, a ranker and notorious griefer with zero manners, is out in that crime-ridden zone basically yelling "Come kill me!" So from the perspective of anyone who's ever been wrecked by her, sitting still isn't an option.
Lodewor Addict—the guy who first snitched that Seola was streaming—was one of those with blood boiling in reverse. Truth be told, up until yesterday, he didn't hate her that much. Sure, getting griefed by her... him... whatever that netkama was unfair, but shit happens in games.
But today, after hopping into her stream, he was dead set on killing Seola no matter what.
And why? Because of this.
Getting roasted 1v1 by a streamer had ignited a rage so deep he couldn't hold back. Staring at the screenshot again, he steeled his resolve. I'll get that first blood on her, no matter what.
Luckily—or unluckily—he was the self-aware type. Could he really beat Seola 1v1? Probably not. Odds approaching zero. Even with an invis pot and a backstab, no way. She's not human; she's a monster.
So he started recruiting a party to snag her first blood.
Worth every penny of those pricey channel megaphones. Plenty of others wanted Seola dead too—whispers flooded in nonstop. Nicknamed Lodewor Addict, he happily sifted through them to build the dream team for her first blood.
Himself as frontline Straight-Sword Knight, a Trap Rogue. Holy Knight and Blessing Mage loaded with party utils. Dark Spirit Mage for hard CC to lock her down. This combo could take on Seola's grandpa, let alone her.
Soon they headed to the Wasteland. Finding Seola was easy—she was straight-up advertising her spot via live stream.
Spotting her quick, they noticed corpses piled around her. Idiots. Solo rushes, judging by the sloppy sprawl. Against a ranker with top-tier specs, items, and control? You need at least this kind of setup to even try.
Right on cue, they formed up as planned and charged without a word.
Even in this tense moment, she's still typing in chat? Cocky or just showboating? Who knows, but one thing's clear: Seola's first blood goes to...
'Lodewor Addict' has died!
...His revenge would have to wait.
That Straight-Sword Knight, stacked to the gills with buffs, was so hyped he didn't even dodge—just charged straight in, ate my blade, and screamed his way to the afterlife.
Honestly, that was pretty dangerous. Like viewers said, unbeatable comp. Even my control has limits—you can't outplay perfection forever. Didn't expect them to bring a full optimized setup just for me. Lucky the Straight-Sword flung himself like an idiot, or I'd have been toast.
Anyway, with him dead, the rest are toast. A party without its vanguard is doomed to wipe. That's the vanguard's job. Like the guy carrying the log solo—if he drops it yelling "Screw this," the team gets crushed underneath.
Trap Rogue, Blessing Mage, Dark Spirit Mage, Holy Knight. All high-tier jobs, but sub-DPS or support. Nothing they can do now. Judging I was unbeatable without their main DPS, they all popped forced town return scrolls at light speed...
...Except one Holy Knight.
Panicking, the Holy Knight started hammering his keys.
Coming to kill me is annoying, but damn, he looks pitiful. I'll let him off once. But not without conditions.
Hm?
'MisfitWind' has died!
I gave him a chance—why fumble it? Such a shame.
I'm doing stuff that'd piss anyone off, yet these people aren't hating—they're obsessed. Modern society's just drowning in dopamine, huh.
Meanwhile.
Lodewor Addict, having died pathetically and lost a week's EXP, screamed in agony.
"Arrrghhh!"
Couldn't let this slide. Sure, he'd ragequit the game himself, but people always blame outside factors. Obsessed with revenge, what he did was simple: find someone who hated Seola more and donate to them.
'Lodewor Addict' donated 10,000 won.
Don't you hate Seola too?
"Yeah, I f**king hate her. Heard she started streaming thanks to some cuckoo snitch, but anyway, no mentions of cuckoo or TAS—banned. Last words, punk."
'Lodewor Addict' donated 10,000 won.
Yeah, ban me idc, just kill Seola for me pls.
"F**k, you cuckoo bastards! Why keep begging me to kill Seola? PK penalties a joke to you?"
'Lodewor Addict' donated 10,000 won.
She's in Wasteland rn. Just go kill her.
"...For real?"
Hearing Seola was in the Wasteland, the streamer froze. Then asked again.
"Seriously...?"
'Lodewor Addict' donated 10,000 won.
Yeah. Tried partying up just now and got wrecked. Recommend partying up too.
A Top 100 ranker like Seola. Nicknamed Kang Manbok, he roared in fury.
"That f**king bitch is dead! Heading out now, bros!"
