Happy Furry Theme Park (2)
"Agent Alpha, ready."
"Agent Beta, ready."
"Agent Gamma, rea—"
...
..
"All agents, ready."
[Confirmed. Commence operation.]
Twenty-four agents had been assigned to the operation. Once Agent Alpha — the team leader — finished inspecting every operative's gear, she reported in to headquarters, and HQ wasted no time green-lighting the mission.
On the order, the agents filed one by one into the anomaly.
▸ Entry to the anomaly is possible only through the ticket booth.
↳ The Management Bureau controls the booth. Unidentified outsiders are to be subdued or eliminated on sight.
One after another, the agents passed through a dilapidated ticket booth that looked like it had been ripped straight out of a horror film. Beyond it stretched an amusement park reduced to ash — every ride rusted through, not a single structure left intact.
But the eerie ruin didn't last. Within moments the bleak scenery dissolved, and a bright, cheerful landscape unfurled before their eyes.
Alpha turned her head and confirmed that every last operative had made it through safely.
"All personnel inside."
[Confirmed.]
Wine-red hair pulled into a sharp ponytail, a beauty with a cutting gaze — that was Alpha. She rested a hand on her scabbard and swept the surroundings with wary eyes.

Firearms were useless against most anomalies, and Yin Energy couldn't reinforce them either, so the bulk of the agents carried cold steel. Every operative on the mission wore anti-anomaly gear issued by the Management Bureau, and each of them kept a tight grip on her weapon.
"Stay sharp. They'll start showing up any minute now."
"Yes, ma'am!"
▸ Anthropomorphic animal entities roam the interior of this anomaly. Male visitors experience intense sexual arousal upon encountering them.
↳ Confirmed that some female visitors also experience arousal.
▸ Entities remain non-hostile unless provoked. Attacking them — or displaying any behavior or expression that suggests the theme park is boring — will turn them aggressive.
A few minutes after the agents entered, animal-shaped beings began poking their heads out from various booths. The moment the operatives spotted them, they launched into a performance — squealing and laughing like a pack of college girls on a theme-park outing.
"Waaah! Where should we go first?"
"Roller coaster, no question! Then the Viking ship!"
"I'm starving! Should we grab some snacks?"
The act must have worked, because the creatures came bouncing over with footsteps that practically sounded like boing-boing!, looking the agents up and down.
Kyuuung?
They looked mildly disappointed once they confirmed the group was all women — but the cheer snapped right back onto their faces, and they waved their arms and legs in an enthusiastic welcome.
"Ah, yes, yes! Thank you so much! We'll just look around on our own for now!"
Alpha beamed with genuine-looking gratitude, and the creatures, though clearly a little crestfallen, backed off to a respectful distance and simply watched.
[Alpha. The Association's booth was last observed in the Reptile Zone. Head there first and assess their status.]
"Combat may break out if things go south."
[Authorized.]
The theme park was divided into five major zones, arranged in order: Mammal, Avian, Reptile, Amphibian, and Fish. The deeper you went, the stronger the virus's infectious power became — which was why the Management Bureau only ever explored as far as the Reptile Zone.
"Even the Association couldn't push past the reptiles, it seems."
"Eugh… reptiles are already disgusting enough…"
"That's a good sign. It means they haven't been infected."
The agents cut swiftly across the Mammal Zone. Under normal circumstances they would have combed every booth for supplies and intel — but that wasn't the objective of this particular mission.
Kiiing♥! Kiyuuung♥!
"Haha! That's it! Howl louder!"
A man was thrusting into a fox-shaped entity. The moment that man left the anomaly, the furry virus would spread. Whatever else the mission demanded, he still needed to be dealt with.
"Delta, prep a mental-immunity vaccine."
"On it."
The agent called Delta pulled a syringe-gun from her bag. Firearms might not work on anomalies, but they were perfectly effective on the victims trapped inside them.
The other agents closed ranks around Delta, screening her from the furry monsters still watching from afar.
Thwip!
Delta — renowned as a crack shot — carefully squeezed the trigger. The syringe struck the man clean in the nape of the neck.
"Ghk…!"
Kyuit?
From this point on, the man would forget everything that had happened here. The virus parasitizing his memories and mind would be purged.
This anomaly was harmless to men, so left alone he would eventually be ushered outside on his own.
Task complete, the agents moved on. Before long they crossed into the Avian Zone.
Unlike the previous zone — which had been extremely friendly toward humans, fellow mammals — this one came with several new precautions.
▸ Entities in the Avian Zone cannot distinguish between male and female. Upon discovering a human, they will expose their cloacas.
↳ Female visitors must expose their own genitals in response to signal they are not viable mating partners.
▸ Furry virus activity intensifies from the Avian Zone onward. Female visitors face a low probability of infection.
"Everyone — mental barriers, Yin Energy. Now."
Agents of their caliber could all use Yin techniques. The most fundamental among them was erecting a mental barrier with Yin Energy — the first technique taught in agent training, since the vast majority of anomalies employed psychic attacks.
A cool ripple pulsed outward from each operative's womb. For as long as that wave held, they would resist mental assault. Stronger psychic attacks could still punch through, of course — but nothing of that magnitude had yet been confirmed in the Avian Zone.
The skirts they were all wearing served a practical purpose too: the moment one of those creatures approached, they needed to flash their genitals without delay.
Caw?
"Careful, everyone. Crows."
Midway through the Avian Zone, crow entities descended from the sky. They thrust their cloacas forward, urging copulation — until the agents hiked up their skirts, tugged their panties aside, and exposed themselves. Interest vanished instantly.
"Lambda."
"Here."
▸ Crow flocks are occasionally encountered in the Avian Zone. After declining their mating advances, you must offer them a shiny object.
Alpha took a glass marble from Lambda and held it out to the flock. The crows turned the marble over and over, inspecting it from every angle, then nodded to one another in apparent satisfaction and took wing again.
"Whew… All right. Let's move."
The agents pressed on, tension never once leaving their bodies.
The coordinates the Association President had given us led to a circus tent. Everything about it was old and rusted over — the place looked like it had been shuttered for a long time.
"I-Is this really the right spot…?"
I checked the coordinates several times. It should be.
The creepy atmosphere had Yu-mi thoroughly spooked. Still, she knew her place well enough — she walked inside without complaint.
The interior held enough bleachers to seat a sizable crowd, and at the center of the stage sat an old wooden door.
"I-It looks just like those teleportation doors, doesn't it?"
A lot more run-down than those, though.
"W-We go through there, right?"
Yeah.
Yu-mi climbed onto the stage and stood before the wooden door. She carefully turned the handle and pulled it open.
"W-Wooow!"
Whoa…
We should have been looking at the far side of the circus stage. Instead, a dazzling amusement park stretched out before our eyes.
Yu-mi stepped into the anomaly. The door remained right where it was, which made me suspect it was some kind of backdoor the Association used.
"H-How has the Management Bureau never found this?"
The Association has its own methods, I suppose.
Looking around, I spotted beings with the faces of lizards and iguanas. These must have been the residents living inside the anomaly.
Let me out.
"A-Are you sure you'll be all right?"
You're in more danger alone than with me.
I climbed out of the carrier and onto her body. The moment I emerged, the creatures that had been approaching Yu-mi flinched and froze mid-step. They trembled as if they'd just seen something terrifying, then carefully backed away and fled.
"M-Maybe they recognized Master's power!?"
I-Is that it?
I wasn't actually that strong. Did I have some hidden power I didn't know about?
But then I watched them flee in terror from the mere sight of a slime or a jellyfish, and I realized something else was going on.
The Association President said this anomaly is split into five zones, right?
"Y-Yes… Mammal, Avian, Reptile, Amphibian, and Fish, in that order."
And even the Association has never gone past the Reptile Zone?
"Yes. They said it was too dangerous for them too… Ah — wait, could it be?"
I was a tentacle monster, but if you looked at me, I basically resembled an octopus. My subordinate entities — the jellyfish and the slimes — also looked vaguely like marine life at a glance.
"Th-They think Master came up from the Fish Zone…?"
I hope so. It'd make getting around a lot easier.
If the anomaly's residents cleared out of our path on their own, that was fine by us. It meant we could ignore most of the precautions the Association President had warned us about.
Yu-mi and I wandered the now-deserted interior, searching for the meeting point we'd arranged with the Association.
"P-Past those bumper cars over there… Ah, is that it?"
Looks right to me.
The rendezvous for our deal with the Association was a stretch of storefronts lined up in a row. Supposedly it was the only guaranteed safe spot in the entire Reptile Zone — though given how uneventfully we'd arrived, the claim didn't land with much weight.
We browsed the shopfronts, looking over the merchandise. Staple foods that seemed to be the residents' main diet, assorted snacks, toys — but the moment I showed up, every last resident fled, so buying anything was out of the question.
"Aww, that looked so good…"
Did you forget what the Association President said? Eat anything here and you turn into one of the residents.
"O-Oh, right."
A little farther in, we found the only shop whose proprietor hadn't run away. It didn't look all that different from the others at first glance — but the goods on display were anything but ordinary.
Actual people bound in restraints. Adult toys like onaholes. Firearms. Various objects that radiated Yin Energy.
And standing in front of the stall was a man in a mask.
"Welcome. This is not merely a shop. This is a place that sells the Association's goods."
"M-Master says hello as well."
"These are not merely items prepared for a transaction. These are carefully selected gifts from the Association."
"H-He says thank you."
The man — who appeared to be a Corruption Mage — brought out three bound women. The striking detail was their eyes: no irises, no whites, just pink-and-white spiral patterns spinning endlessly in place.
"My power is not merely an ability. It is the power to hypnotize women."
He launched into some long-winded explanation of his power, but none of it really registered.
"Um — Master is asking why you talk like that."
"This is not merely a speech pattern. This is the price I paid for my power."
So every time we came here, we'd have to listen to this man's bizarre way of talking. I sighed inwardly and handed Yu-mi the ropes binding the women. She was already hauling two carriers, so she simply tied the ropes to one of them.
Business with the Association was done. Time to head home.
