Crocodile Farm 2 – The Event and Our First Date
“How about we do it like this?”
The day after visiting Crocodile’s workshop, he reached a decision sooner than expected.
“Right now we have Shine—the main village—and Rusty’s Babel Tower a little ways off, correct?”
“Yes.”
Crocodile laid out his plan. First, they would move Babel Tower farther north and connect it to the village via a portal. Then, at the original tower site, they would spawn a separate object.
“For example, something like a castle would work nicely.”
From that object, monsters would be gathered and sent to attack both the village and Babel Tower. The attack ratio would be set at 3:7, so Babel Tower would face twenty percent of the monsters while the village handled eighty percent, naturally turning the village into a defensive stronghold. After a brief defense, Babel Tower’s forces would push toward the object to destroy the monster generators, easing the burden on the village. Once all generators were destroyed, the final boss would appear, and the server’s grand finale would be a raid against it.
After finishing his passionate explanation, Crocodile’s eyes sparkled as he asked, “That’s the concept. What do you think?”
“Just a moment.”
Rusty closed his eyes and ran a mental simulation of Crocodile’s explanation—overall feasibility, efficient placement, monster spawn balance, and more—gradually shaping the idea into something concrete.
‘The event is expected to last about two weeks… If we want to maximize the fun within that window…’
Rusty opened his eyes after quickly organizing his thoughts.
“Yes, it should be possible. And for this part, we could do it like this…”
“Ah, then for that section, how about…”
Through the two men’s heated discussion, the plan gradually took on a more detailed form.
“Hm? Oppa, you look… a little tired.”
The next day, when Kuronyang met Rusty in front of Babel Tower, she noticed his weary expression after a short conversation and asked about it.
- I don’t feel it at all?
- …Now that you mention it, his tone does seem a bit lower than usual.
- You can tell that?
I’m a sound engineer, so I notice stuff like that.
Did you notice before Kuronyang said anything?
Nah. I only noticed after she pointed it out and I focused.
Then what about Kuronyang, who noticed it right away…
- Damn it. Is this love or what?
- Kekeke. There is no more “your Kuronyang.” From now on she’s only Rusty’s Kuronyang, kekeke.
- J… Jeez. “Kekeke” sounds more chuuni than just “lol.”
……..
…….Can’t you guys react or something?
Pat pat.
………Fuck.
Rusty let out a light laugh at the chat window that was already having fun on its own and answered.
“Ah… I pushed myself a bit yesterday because I had things to take care of. I’ll end the stream a little early today and go straight to bed. Don’t worry.”
“Mm. Then let’s just play for a little while today and head in.”
Kuronyang looked at him with concern and told him to rest early. Today, she seemed especially lovely.
“Got it. I won’t stay too late today.”
“Promise?”
“Yeah. Promise.”
“Heehee.”
Watching the two of them, Mabel and the viewers chimed in.
- Sweetness level 20000%!!
- Aaaagh~! I wanted this to happen, but I didn’t want them to be this happy~
- Eyes I didn’t see, ears I didn’t hear.
- Huh? Why are my eyes tearing up…
- I need a wooden stake… a wooden stake…
- I also have tons of girlfriends…… I…… Damn it. Please just come out of the monitor already.
- Whoa… Dude. The wide-area aggro is insane… It’s driving this many people crazy…
- Ah, screw it. I’m switching to Mabel’s stream. I wanna see some blood too.
- Same here.
It was said that Mabel left to hunt monsters because the sight was too much to bear, and the viewers went with her.
. . .
“Huh? Where did Mabel go? She was right here.”
- Thirty minutes after Mabel supposedly left because she couldn’t stand watching, Kuronyang asked.
. . .
That day, a report of a demon’s roar coming from deep inside a dungeon sent streamers rushing over in a commotion. What the streamers, who thought it was a hidden mob, actually found was…
“Kwaaaah~! Are you a couple too~!! Damn it~. Even monsters have partners!! Why! Am I the only one!!!!”
…a single rampaging beast.
Is that a heatsink or what? What does small chest have to do with it?
Actually, flat surfaces have higher thermal conductivity than curved ones.
Aha.
“Everyone~! You’re all banned~!!!!”
Crocodile Farm 2, Week 3.
While the early players had finished upgrading their specs and were focusing on building their foundations, and the latecomers were still busy farming items in dungeons, an announcement was posted.
〈The Greatest Streamer Tournament〉
Hello, this is Crocodile.
Thank you to everyone who has been enjoying Crocodile Farm 2. To commemorate the server’s one-month anniversary, we will be holding a commemorative event along with a tournament.
The tournament will feature multiple categories. Rankings from 1st to 10th will be determined through online voting for each category, and special prizes will be awarded to the 1st place winners of each category.
The special prizes will have stats tailored to their respective categories, so comparing them could be fun as well.
Another event will begin right after the tournament ends, so we hope for your active participation.
Thank you.
Immediately after the announcement, several voting polls were opened on Crocodile’s café, allowing viewers to vote for streamers in each category.
Content: Picking people with high combat power or life skills is obvious, but what’s “Incompetence”?
- Just pick the most incompetent person?
That’s obvious… I’m asking why such a category even exists…
- Because it’s Crocodile’s whim. Why do you care?
- Maybe he just wanted to give out more prizes.
- Maybe he wants to benefit as many people as possible.
Then why go through all that trouble… It’s annoying for everyone.
Ah… You talk too much. Just accept it as is.
He said it’s annoying. Have a drink~
[Guys, who are you voting for Best Couple?]
Content: I’m voting for Rusty and Kuronyang.
- There aren’t really any other couples besides them right now, are there?
- Hey now. Call them “those esteemed individuals.”
- Exactly. They’re the top contributors to raising my blood sugar lately.
Is that a good thing? lol
It’s fine. I have low blood sugar.
Low blood sugar treatment is RustyTube? lololol
- But I’m genuinely curious. Are Rusty and Tinyang dating or not?
- Dunno. The vibe feels like they are, but they haven’t said anything.
Suspicious…
It feels like they’re dating but also not, it’s ambiguous.
- But they both ended their streams early today?
Rusty said he didn’t sleep last night because he had a lot to do, so he’s going to rest early. Kuronyang went off because there was no one left to play with after Rusty left.
Then… are they meeting up separately now…..? Ehehe
(Shady laughing emotes) (Shady laughing emotes) (Shady laughing emotes)
At that very moment, just as the community suspected, the two were indeed meeting up and enjoying a date.
“Sorry for suddenly asking to meet.”
“Mm~ It’s fine. But didn’t you say you were tired today? You said you were going to rest early…”
While lying down after ending his stream and secretly watching (?) Kuronyang’s broadcast, Jiwon immediately contacted her the moment she ended her stream early and asked her out. Soyu, who said it was okay, instead worried about the tired Jiwon.
“This is resting. Isn’t seeing the face of someone you like the best kind of healing?”
“…..”
At Jiwon’s pleased words, Soyu lowered her head, her face turning red. Hearing that meeting her was healing made her already racing heart pound even harder.
Jiwon, who had been gazing at her lovingly, asked, “By the way, is a movie okay? This is my first date too, so I’m being a bit careful.”
Soyu’s face grew even redder at the word “date,” but she nodded in response.
Nod nod.
Seeing her nod, Jiwon took the lead.
“Then there’s a Megabox a short walk this way. Want to head over slowly?”
“Yes…”
And so the two walked side by side down the street. Along the way, Jiwon brought up various topics to help ease her tension, and thanks to his efforts, Soyu gradually relaxed and returned to her usual self.
“So, back then I…”
“That’s right… Yeah. That time really…”
As they continued talking about things that happened on stream, the distance between them slowly closed. Just like the distance in their hearts, the two who had been walking slightly apart soon grew close enough for their shoulders to touch.
Tap.
Their hands brushed against each other before pulling away. Soyu flinched. Jiwon gently took her hand as it tried to slip away.
Squeeze.
“There are a lot of people, so…”
Watching him make excuses while pretending to look elsewhere, Soyu found herself smiling without realizing it.
“Pfft… For someone saying that, aren’t there way too few people around?”
“Ahem, ahem…”
Seeing him clear his throat yet still not let go of her hand, Soyu’s heart felt at ease.
‘Me too…’
Swish.
Soyu softly pulled her hand out of his grasp. When she saw him flinch, she smiled and took his hand again, interlocking their fingers.
“In case there are more people later and I lose you…”
Looking at him with wide, surprised eyes, Soyu beamed brightly.
‘Cute…’
Jiwon, who had been staring at her smiling eyes, soon grinned as well. He squeezed her hand a little tighter. It felt like they could walk like this all the way to the end of the earth.
