Discount Deals and the Pink Bunny Curse
Yeah, picking them up here is way better than running around breaking quests myself. It's a bit of a hassle, but handing out quests isn't hard at all. I'd heard the goddess's story once, and I had a ton of questions, but today's session was over. Plus, "Goddess's Word of the Day" cost a whopping 2,500 points. It was half off today at 1,250, but full price starting tomorrow. With about 45,000 points left, buying it every day would add up quick.
"Can't I stock up early? Gimme ten at the discount price."

She'd really committed to the concept. I shook my head at the stubborn old hag's message. Then I checked the QP shop list. Whatever, I had a Status Window now, and even if it pissed me off, no reason not to use it.
"Gotta burn through it all."
It wasn't free—they were points I'd earned giving quests to the heroes. I'd devour every last one.
"Cola, purchase."

"0.5's on the house?"
I didn't like the old hag much, but she wasn't that inflexible. Maybe just too lazy to calculate, though.
I snatched the red cola can dropping from thin air. First one in 300 years. My hazy memories from my past life kicked in naturally as I popped the tab.
Chiiiik!
Cool fizz bubbled out, black carbonation roiling inside. I stared at it, then took a swig.
Gulp. Gulp.
"Sweet."
Was cola always this good? I'd thought Century Herb juice was junk food heaven, but real junk food wins out. This cola after 300 years topped every drink since reincarnation.
Honestly, 5 points for a small can seemed steep... Burp.
"Worth it tho~."
Had to admit it. I crushed the now-empty can and tossed it into the trash, compressed by my grip.
"Ten colas, ten ciders, purchase."

"Only small ones? No 1.5L?"
Was it the goddess's sales tactic, or did I miss something? Only 350ml cans for now.
"Ooh, cider's good too."
Cola was great, but cider hit different. In under five minutes, I'd downed all twenty colas and ciders, then sampled others. All tastier than Century Herb juice, but cola and cider reigned supreme.
"Stock up big?"
Discount ends after today—better grab 'em now.
"500 colas, 500 ciders, purchase."

I packed the thousand summoned cans into a small sub-space box artifact from the Magic Kingdom—it used mana to keep everything chilled. Beyond drinks, I tried foods too. Steaks and lobsters at 800-900 points each? Decent, but no cola-cider magic.
"...Kinda same as what I've had."
Maybe palate fatigue from all the rare stuff? Pricey didn't mean tastier. Tasty, sure, but not worth the points.
"Hmm."
Ah, but seasoned chicken? Divine. They had chicken here, but nothing matched that saucy nostalgia.
Anyway, five hours of furious shopping later...
"Huh."

7,000 points vanished in a blink.
"Didn't eat that much?"
Some pricey stuff, yeah, but with 50% off, that's 14,000 points spent. Okay, I did inhale about 100 seasoned chickens mid-session.
'What can ya do when it doesn't fill ya up.'
This QP shop wasn't dragon-friendly at all. Next chat with the goddess, I'd demand dragon-sized mega seasoned chicken.
"Food's good. Next... gacha?"
True to her gacha obsession, only the random boxes sparkled, begging to be picked. Grades from F to max EX. No clue what came out, but knowing her, she'd cackled maniacally crafting them seriously.
I'd ignored the boxes to disappoint her, but...
'Gotta get that mega seasoned chicken added.'
For the chicken, I'd at least pretend.
"One for fun?"

A white box tied with a brown ribbon descended. Untie it, and drumrolllll... it burst open dramatically. F-grade with this fanfare? Other items just dropped, but this? Ridiculous, but I watched.
Congratulations!
Acquired Netflix 7-Day Subscription Voucher!
"...O?"
I grabbed the fluttering white paper. Familiar red logo from my past life.

"...4x profit?"
Cost 500, pulled 2,000 value. Total win!
"...Nah. Probably just a good first one."
Sales tactic. Hook you on the first, suck you dry. Obvious. Think I'd fall for it?
"Poor thing, I'll bite once more."

Plop. Fancy gold-ribboned box appeared. Broke now, but whatever—heroes would refill via quests. And...
"Pull big here, huge profit."
10x on this? Even better. SS base price 64k—I'd already profited 32k.
I set the SS box on the bed, carefully untying the ribbon.
"Come on! Scam item!"
Flash!
"Ooh! Such intense light..."

Screeech... Next day. In the hall outside Lea's room, her two eagerly waiting disciples bowed frantically as the door opened.
"L-Lea!"
"We're so sorry. We didn't consider your feelings at all... Huh?"
"......"
Haring and NyaNya froze. They'd expected fury or disappointment if Lea emerged—yesterday's vibe, and even post-rage, pitying eyes. They'd camped to beg forgiveness, but Lea's face was... different.
"...Old hag. Damn old hag. Billion-year-old hag."
"L-Lea? You okay?"
"What's with the doll?"
"...Shoulda bought tons of C and D... But SS should've profited, right?"
"Lea?"
Lea kept mumbling regrets, dead serious. Yet she clutched an adorably cute pink bunny doll. Elaborately made, high-end vibe. Noticing their stares, she shrugged it off.
"Old hag's gift. Cute, huh?"
"Y-Yeah, super cute..."
"Yep. Cute. That's it."
Giggle. Lea laughed long, then grinned up at them mischievously.
"Liked the quests?"
"Huh?"
"Go earn some. Quick."
