Where should I build the breeding farm?
First of all, to reduce the humans' stress even a little, there needs to be sunlight.
It's not like they can't live without it, but sunlight reduces human stress and provides nutrients, so it's better if it's there.
In that case, there are two options.
Build the breeding farm in the forest, or build it in the Colony.
Both have their pros and cons.
The forest is advantageous for managing human stress because of things you can get from nature, like sunlight and wind, but managing the breeding farm would be difficult.
In the early stages of the breeding farm, the humans won't be used to being farmed, so they'll likely think about running away a lot. On top of that, there's a forest right nearby that looks like a perfect place to escape to, so it's obvious they'll have bad ideas.
If these were ordinary humans from Earth, maybe. But this is another world.
An otherworld with Mana, Holy Power, and Unique Abilities. Unlike ordinary humans from Earth, everyone here has power.
Cutting off their limbs to prevent them from running away? That should be a last resort.
The moment you cut off their limbs, it becomes even more troublesome to manage those humans.
Next is the top floor of the Colony.
The advantage here, unlike the forest, is that I can definitively seal away any thoughts of escaping.
The downside is that there's no sunlight, no cool breeze, and the various filth and corpse smells that come with running a human breeding farm will accumulate, which could lead to stress buildup.
"Hmm..."
It's a big dilemma.
"Ah!"
Come to think of it, if I build it in the forest, security becomes weak. In a situation where we might have to go to war from now on, building a breeding farm in the forest seems a bit dangerous.
No matter how low the breeding farm's efficiency might be due to stress, it's even worse if the breeding farm itself gets attacked and suffers losses.
Do you know what you have to protect the most in a strategy simulation game?
It's resources. The buildings that can produce resources and the workers who harvest those resources are the most important.
To build or maintain anything, you need resources. That goes for creatures, too.
For now, I think I should build the breeding farm safely in the Colony.
As the breeding farm grows and our legion gets bigger and stronger, I'll think about building a breeding farm in the forest then.
==
I looked around the flattest and widest place on the top floor of the Colony.
"What do we need to breed humans?"
"If you mean breeding... do you mean breeding like livestock...?"
Yui answered cautiously at my words.
"Yes. I'm planning to build a human breeding farm."
"Ah..."
"Do you have any good ideas?"
Since I've never bred humans before, no matter how much I think about it on my own, there will definitely be things I miss.
That's why I brought all the humans currently in the Colony. After all, a human breeding farm needs humans.
Even though those quiet women are frustrating, she probably hasn't thought about farming humans in her daily life, so it would be hard for her to come up with ideas right away.
For now, before Dagos brings the humans back, I need a space for them to stay.
'A private space? Or should I have them stuck in the walls one by one?'
Or should I just herd them into one place like livestock and have them live there?
I have absolutely no idea what to do.
[ Queen-nim. ]
Evolute's voice echoed in my head.
[ May I assist you? ]
'Are you talking about human breeding?'
[ Yes. I extracted memories from the brain of the male Gluttony brought in this time, and I discovered some interesting memories. ]
'Interesting memories, you say?'
[ That is correct. They are memories from a world called Earth, where the man was before coming to this other world. ]
'What kind of memories did you see that you can help with this human breeding?'
[ From the man's memories, I was inspired by a manga called Asanagi, from a site that uploads so-called lewd manga. ]
Oh, wow...
The man I killed this time must have watched some pretty extreme 19+ manga.
I'm not particularly interested in 19+ manga, but I do know of a manga artist named Asanagi. They draw quite gore-filled and maniacal manga.
It seems that manga artist Asanagi drew a manga where human breeding farms appear.
And it seems Evolute saw that while digging through the memories of the reincarnated man.
'I understand. Evolute, please build the human breeding farm.'
[ It is an honor. I will do my best to build the human breeding farm. ]
Come to think of it, I know our children well, but that goes for Evolute as well.
On top of that, Evolute is a creature with the intellect of a researcher, so Evolute might be better at utilizing creatures.
If it's that Evolute, they will use our children to build a wonderful breeding farm.
Once the breeding farm is built, the next problem is classification.
Humans in this other world possess various powers.
Mana, Holy Power, Unique Abilities, and various races. How should I manage such beings?
First, the humans who possess Mana.
It's good for me to absorb their power, but then that human dies. However, another method came to mind.
It's pregnancy.
In this other world, living beings are born with Mana innately. It is said that the parents' influence is very significant in that regard.
It is said that a child born to parents with bodies accustomed to Mana has a very high probability of being born with Mana.
Interpreting that differently, if a human with Mana gets pregnant with a creature, could a creature with Mana be born?
I became quite curious.
Our children are already very strong. But how strong would a child born with Mana be?
I know there are quite a few children among mine who can make other living beings pregnant.
I should treat the female humans who possess Mana specially.
On one side, I'll have humans born with Mana.
On the other side, I'll have creatures born with Mana.
As for Holy Power, hmm...
This isn't something you can do innately, so it's correct for me to just absorb it.
==
"F-feel the warmth gently wrapping around your heart, and try to imagine water slowly being absorbed into fabric..."
I imagined the image Erina spoke of in my head.
Ssu-euk.
Hwa-ah.
Burr-r-r-r.
As soon as the Holy Power entered my heart, goosebumps rose all over my body.
I know Holy Power is definitely a strong and good force. But it just doesn't suit me at all. However, it is Holy Power.
The Holy Power that gives buffs or provides healing. I can use things like that, so if I don't, that would be too boring.
As I felt a faint tingling in my heart.
"Ugh!"
Gastric acid rose in my empty stomach, and I vomited.
"Le, Lea-nim!?"
"I'm fine."
This is even more disgusting than I thought.
I didn't expect much, considering just containing it in my body was enough to give me goosebumps.
I didn't expect much, but I didn't know it would be to this extent.
However.
I adapted.
Ttu-ddeuk.
"Lea-nim!?"
I tore off my left arm just like that.
Maybe I put too much strength into it, as it was ripped off up to the shoulder.
No blood comes out.
I tore off my arm to try using Heal with Holy Power, but come to think of it, it's impossible with my own body.
The torn-off part wiggled like a living creature and reattached itself to my body.
I am not a human right now, so I don't need healing.
Seu-euk.
"Uh..."
I grabbed Erina's arm.
"N, no way...?"
I smiled brightly at Erina and pulled.
A horrific and brutal sound echoed through the bedroom.
==
"Haa... Haa... Haa..."
Erina is collapsed, clutching the arm that was torn just a moment ago.
But that arm was attached as if nothing had happened.
It was healed so perfectly that no one would have known, if not for the blood that had poured out like a fountain all around.
I finally obtained my first skill since coming to this other world.
Heal.
And it's a very high-performance Heal at that. Although it gives me goosebumps all over my body every time I use it, it's a quite powerful Heal, strong enough to reattach a torn-off arm.
At this level, the goosebumps are bearable enough to use it.

Gwen, the Knight Commander in charge of the eastern region of Mederun in the Padix Kingdom, heard the news of the A-rank adventurer party's disappearance.
It's called a disappearance, but everyone now knows it's not a disappearance, but an annihilation.
The fact that an A-rank party was annihilated means that the danger level of what is currently happening is at a City Emergency level.
A situation where the entire city is in danger and countless people are injured or killed is called a City Emergency level.
"What on earth is happening...?"
She wanted to know the truth of this incident right now. But the Knight Commander must never leave the city.
Because the Knight Commander is the city's final defensive wall.
"For now, the reconnaissance team has gone to grasp the situation, so let's wait."
Vice-Knight Commander Drake was monitoring her from her side.
Drake has been with the Knights for a long time with Gwen and knows her personality well.
Because in Drake's eyes, he can see that Gwen is full of thoughts about abandoning the city and going outside the moment anything happens, as she is the Knight Commander who must protect the city.
It's not that this incident isn't dangerous.
But the incident currently unfolding could be a tactic by another nation to intentionally create an incident to reduce the city's security.
No one knows what might happen the moment Gwen, the city's top combat power and Knight Commander, leaves the city to resolve the incident.
"It's taking too long... The missing people might still be alive. We might need to rescue them as soon as possible."
From mercenaries to B-rank adventurer parties and even the A-rank party, everyone has gone missing.
Everyone thinks they are annihilated, but what if they are still alive and waiting for rescue?
Gwen's mind was complicated.
She joined the Knights to save people and even became the Knight Commander.
She was happy to be able to protect more people, but she was angry that she couldn't protect the people right in front of her.
"Gwen-nim!!!"
Just then, a knight who was in charge of reconnaissance duty for the Knights came running in, panting and shouting.
"They say a massive army of unknown monsters is invading Deluta Village!!!"
"What...?"
At the new information, Gwen picked up her sword.
Nothing is confirmed yet, but Gwen thought this matter was related to the disappearance cases that had been happening so far.
"Gwen-nim, surely you aren't thinking of going to Deluta Village, are you?"
"I'm going...!"
"You cannot! What will you do if the city is attacked while you are going to Deluta Village!"
"I trust our Knights...!"
Gwen kicked open the door to the Knight Commander's office and stormed out.
"Haa... Seriously!"
Drake sighed at the rushing Gwen and immediately ran after her.
