Chapter 26 - Gallery Upgrade Announcement
* Chop chop chop chop chop chop
Inside the bunker, the same scene as yesterday. After feeding the heroes and Hogul, I was drafting the update announcement.
"No need to mention Sora's body, or the function where I buy and send items... Add cons, create race-specific notice boards, and..."
I had a ton of ideas, but kept putting them off due to one thing after another, so the list had piled up. The upgrade alert had popped ages ago. I'd just delayed it because I was worried about the chaos from information blackout when the gallery stops—like last time.
Now that that concern was gone, it was time to pull the trigger on the upgrade.
"Sora, if we add these features, what's the estimated time?"
This time, to avoid mistakes, I listed every single function before asking. No repeating the same screw-up!
> Adding all requested features: Estimated time 48 hours.
Two whole days...? I worried the gallery folks might get separation anxiety again.
"Hmm, but these are all necessary..."
Time for some prioritizing? I thought about what wasn't urgent right now.
"Cons and race-specific notice boards. How much does excluding those cut it down?"
They'd be missed, but not essential immediately. These were the only ones that could wait.
> Estimated reduction: 3 hours.
Too iffy. Just go for it? The gallery stopping during update was a huge hurdle.
"Sora? Any feature to keep the gallery running during upgrades?"
Just a wishlist item. If that existed, I'd be a flawless Moderator...
> No such feature detected. But traces of a related function found.
Oho?
"Traces mean it might be possible someday?"
> Speculated possible. But low probability, as it's just traces.
Not completely absent—maybe broken due to some issue? I was inwardly cursing the system creators... but felt a bit guilty. The gallery felt like a knockoff of my world's version—similar yet off, with missing screws. Weird concept post criteria, no memes or cons, kinda boring. Like someone saw a gallery, thought "cool," and half-assed a copy.
I could rant complaints from breakfast to bedtime for the pups. Still, adding features bit by bit, I'd shape it into the perfect gallery for this world eventually.
"Guess we can't help it now. Full load it is—48 hours."
> Confirmed. Features reloaded. Estimated time: 48 hours.
Maybe mindful of my gloom from last mistake, Sora diligently updated me each change. Sora's so kind. Soon she'd express that kindness physically. My heart was already pounding.
Time to post the notice? Post, wait for comments, grab food.

Posted, ate, came back—comments galore. Double-checked for misses, then scrolled.
Everyone worried about downtime, but no severe separation anxiety like before. But why's the Crown Princess anxious when she knows my spot? No clue.
Tilting my head in thought, Sora's screen approached.
> Rain, Valerian post detected. View?
"O? Ad up?"
> Not ad. Proclamation to the people.
"...?"
Proclamation? Not ad—what else? Checked Retired Emperor's post.
Comment section flooded with Retired Emperor praise—too many to read all.
But hyping success pre-experiment? Kinda freaks me out. What if it flops... Guess he sees no other way.
"Carts from all directions? Not northwest?"
My precious bunker is northwest, but he wrote "all directions."
> Likely ploy to obscure location. Honoring your prior request. Comments note: South (Valerian), North (Crown Princess), East/West knights.
"No way they did all that hassle just to block my move...?"
Just save points few days, relocate—done. Travel time from capital means midnight start, doable but... Shoulda told 'em it's no biggie upfront.
Jotted note: Post-upgrade, send treats to those four who suffered for me.
