Chapter 12 - Super Giant Doggies
After finishing my first shower in the bunker, I bought some tracksuit pants and changed into them before heading out to the living room. The clothes I'd been wearing reeked of rot—I couldn't bring myself to put them back on.
"Ew, that rotten smell... Was I really wearing that?"
It was the kind of stench that would give you some disease just from touching your skin. I tossed them straight into the trash can, tied up the bag to block the smell, and sealed it tight.
Come to think of it, I didn't remember buying this trash can. It was a high-end model worth 50,000 points—maybe they threw in some freebies with it? Looking around, I spotted other essential household items like cushions, blankets, slippers...
"Trash can, cushions, blankets, slippers... Everything but furniture, huh?"
Probably perks from buying pricey stuff. I felt pretty good about getting all these extras stuffed in.
Congratulations on your move, Rain. The Bunker Management tab has been added— I recommend checking it out.
"Thanks, Sora."
Was she being considerate of my scattered brain? As soon as I seemed to have my bearings, Sora dove right into explaining how to manage the bunker.

For a bunker costing 50,000 points, it was surprisingly straightforward.
"Sora? Is this mana stone thing like replacing electricity?"
Electricity? I do not understand the term.
"Uh, well..."
Yeah, definitely a zero-point question for a medieval apocalypse survivor. I gathered my thoughts and rephrased.
"Like the lights on the ceiling right now, or the hot water from my shower earlier—does the mana stone power stuff like that?"
Yes. Mana stones serve as the bunker's power source. They can be purchased from the Moderator-Exclusive Shop, and the ones currently in use cost 1000P each.
"Thanks for explaining, Sora Sora."
Looked like the electricity bill here was prepaid. Prepaid utilities? Not bad. Pretty innovative.
I was about to check the system when I glanced at Sora's chat window instead. Sure, I could tap details, but since it was a new home, touring it housewarming-style with Sora sounded fun.
"Sora, could you give me a personal tour of the bunker?"
Hey, it was a housewarming! Way more enjoyable with company than reading manuals solo.
Of course. You are currently in the living room. I will explain starting from here. As you can see, for safety reasons, there are no windows. However, fresh air circulates constantly through the ventilation ducts above...
Was it the pricey place? Sora's explanation went on and on. A bit dry and lecture-y, but her brisk pace gave off an excited vibe.
...Furniture like beds must be purchased separately. The kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop, which operates using mana stones. For additional space, use Space Expansion in the Bunker Management System. That concludes the explanation.
"Thanks, Sora."
You are welcome. Call me anytime you need.
So, per Sora: one big room, one small room, one bathroom, living room, and entrance—all crammed into a compact space. Underground, no windows. Perfect! Living by clock alone, no sunlight? Exactly my ideal life.
Jackpot! Thrilled at the thought of never seeing light again, I logged into the Gallery shop.
Having a home was great. But it was empty inside. During my shower, I'd had nowhere to put stuff and just laid it out on the floor.
"Sofa for the living room, bed for the bedroom... Folding table and chairs too?"
Small rooms called for single beds, single sofas, space-saving folding table & chairs. Tossed the cheapest ones in the cart: bed 700P, sofa 300P, table 50P. Bought and placed them quick.
Surveyed my now-filled home.
"Happiness isn't far away. It's always right by your side..."
Not a single wrong word. It was literally right there next to me.
"What do you think, Sora? Pretty decent, right?"
I wanted to share the joy, so I asked her.
Yes. It looks so nice, I almost want to live here myself.
The most emotional response yet. If Sora decided to steal it, she totally could. Home invader? If she had a body, I'd be kicked out naked and become a tasty meal for the wolves.
"Oh right, the wolves."
I picked up the notebook of to-dos scattered on the floor and flipped to the last page.
"Delete bunker... Add booze to profit candidates..."
I scribbled away, ignoring reality, but couldn't avoid it forever.
Four-eyed Wolves. Time to ID these house-sized buddies.
I slowly headed to the entrance and pulled up the bunker tab.

View Surrounding CCTV. Could words be this beautiful? Now I could check outside without stepping out. Bunkers were god-tier invincibility.
The four-eyed wolves on CCTV? Currently rolling around on the ground like puppies.

Anyone know what they are?

"They're spirit beasts?"
The two doggos rolling in my front yard... were actually spirit beasts.
"Well, yeah, size-wise they're no ordinary animals. But still..."
As the super giant doggies rolled wildly, the landscape shifted dramatically around them. Insanely dynamic scene.
Good boys, no threat unless provoked—no weapons needed then... While waiting for comments, I casually leaned the K2C1 rifle I'd bought against the shoe rack.
Honestly, hated going out. Ten days of peaceful coexistence—no trespassing. Wanted to keep it that way.
But look at that dynamic landscape. And they seemed to be inching toward the bunker entrance.
No choice. If I didn't resolve before they blocked it, I'd be crushed when the building collapsed.
"Good boys. Won't harm humans if not threatened. So what do I need now?"
What else? Food, duh.
No Means NoMutt! Premium Dog Food (15kg) - 400P x4
Baby's Nutrition Snack! Premium Pet Wet Food Cans (85g, 24-pack) - 50P x2
Assorted Beef (Imported, 800g) - 80P x4
Large Plastic Tarps - 5P x2
Prepped mega doggo meals in the cart for instant deploy. Time to calm the tree-felling kids.
I cautiously cracked open the bunker entrance door at the stairs.
Creeeak__
"Hey, pups...? Wanna talk for a sec..?"
Ten days later, I took my first step outside.
