I'm Not the Hero, I'm Ju-ddak! (2)
Flipping through thousands of pages and inspecting hundreds of malicious users one by one. Makas, Akas, Tkas, Okas. The words used to label them were as varied as the versions and targets themselves. Demon Hulmeom, ogres, orcs, and so on….
“No, what the fuck. How did you even get ogre mating shots?”
It might honestly be easier to save the world one more time. These damn black holes!
I scrolled past a post with an image of a man dramatically rolling his eyes.
What?? Ju-ddak is actually a new guy??? (Roughly a photo of a man rolling his eyes. JPG)
I own thirty different tactical nukes! I’m the malicious Hunter Gallery user who mainly uses clickbait titles! Let’s do well together from dawn onward!!
Their tone was so fucking ridiculous I almost laughed. It felt like a teacher forcing two kids who beat each other up to shake hands and make up.
“This guy’s got a rap sheet a mile long. Preemptive arrest for you.”
Block this user?
Block duration: 10,000,000 days.
Reason: 59 prior offenses.
After swinging the ban hammer on countless troublemakers, I checked my points.
Without hesitation I unlocked gallery management.
[Equipment] [Accessories] [Food] [Consumables] [Gallery Contents]
Basic administrator rights unlocked even more options. ‘I’ll look at the rest later. Food first.’
My tongue had been corrupted by isekai cuisine. It needed purification. Plus I was hungry.
Ugh… So I could buy isekai stuff. Things I never wanted to see again.
“Unless it’s exceptionally well-made…”
There was no way I was spending precious points earned from deleting Makas on garbage like that. I needed aglio e olio. Which meant money. Korean money.
Hoping for something useful, I unlocked the first item in the Gallery Contents tab.
Only Ju-ddak can register items. Users may trade registered items in real time.
In short, it was a shop only Ju-ddak could open and close. I could set detailed restrictions like preventing certain users from buying, but that wasn’t urgent right now.
[YES]
I quickly scanned the gallery again. The main need was obvious.
Potions. Were they really that rare?
I checked the consumables tab.
◈ Emergency healing potion used when no healer is present. Drinking it rapidly heals wounds and fills the body with vitality.
◈ Price: 1 Point
I immediately bought two hundred red potions. No time to hesitate.
[YES]
‘One point each, so price… one thousand won?’
The gallery exploded less than ten seconds after I listed them.
Ju-ddak’s Authority
“Huh?”
“Is… is it finally over?”
From within a mountain of hunter corpses, a woman cautiously poked her head out. Her neat straight hair was matted with blood, and her pale skin was covered in mud. Her name was Lee Hyein. Although she was an awakened, her rank was only D-class. Her fixed gallery nickname was D-class Porter.
She had only awakened body reinforcement skills and worked as a professional porter. While the hunters fought, her job was to carry supplies and deliver consumables exactly where they were needed.
The gate they had challenged this time was C-rank.
“Who would have thought an ogre would appear in a C-rank gate?”
The raid party had poured everything into defeating the B-rank ogre, but they failed. The price was death.
“It’s not even the first or second time. Why does every raid party I join end up completely wiped out?”
The ogre that had annihilated the party seemed to have wandered off after eating its fill of corpses. She tidied her ruined hair and headed toward the safety zone the guild had designated.
‘If only we had more potions. No… if only I had carried the supplies faster. What am I even going to tell the guild?’
Regretful thoughts wouldn’t leave her alone.
“Wait a minute! It’s not my fault either! If they needed potions that badly they should have given me plenty of money!”
When she finally neared the safety zone she opened the Hunter Gallery.
Why does every raid party I join with end up annihilated….
Steadily posting survival verification threads that were essentially shitposts to someone else was Lee Hyein’s only joy.
“Anyway, I survived today too!”
Thud. Thud.
A skin-crawling sound of footsteps.
‘Wait… this is the safety zone. No way?’
A massive shadow fell over her head.
“Grrrrrr!”
The ogre was stomping its feet in rage.
“Hieeeeek!”
Wait a second! What do I do? I thought it had left? What happens if it catches me? Eaten alive? Skewered? Or… turned into a D-class sex slave? None of the options were good for her.
As she ran desperately the ogre began chasing after her with heavy thuds.
“Feather-like Footsteps!”
She reinforced her body and zigzagged away, but D-rank skills could only do so much. In the end Lee Hyein reached a dead end.
“Grrrrr. Chuuulp!”
The ogre looked down at her and licked its lips.
I’m going to die. I’m going to die. I’m going to die.
“Verification post! I have to delete my verification post! No! At least let me write one last post!”
Lee Hyein hurriedly opened the gallery. The hundreds of verification posts she had written. All of them said goodbye. Today’s survival had failed….
Then her eyes caught the final ray of hope.
Lee Hyein purchased the invisibility potion. A glass bottle filled with transparent liquid appeared before her eyes as if by magic.
The ogre had already raised its fist high.
Pop!
Without hesitation she pulled the cork with her teeth and downed it in one go.
“Grrrr?”
The ogre reached out trying to find the human that had vanished right before its eyes, but it was useless.
“Human!!!”
Lee Hyein silenced her footsteps and slowly backed away step by step. Thud. Thud. The monster eventually grew tired of searching for her and left. Once it disappeared beyond the ridge, she collapsed on the spot.
“Ju-ddak… you are a god… e-yo….”
