The Boss's Anger (2)
The Boss's Anger (2)
"Hoo..."
While she had called for the head of the legal team, the Director had her hand on her forehead, slowly calming her anger.
An unbearable rage had surged through her after watching the video, but she desperately held it in because she didn't want to show that side of herself in front of the men.
On top of that, she probably didn't want to show herself getting angry in front of Yoo Seong-hwan, whom she cherished like a younger brother.
Of course, Yoo Seong-hwan, who had gone out to eat meat with his friends, had no idea about any of this.
"Hold it in... hold it in..."
The Director, who in her heart wanted to go find her personally and beat her half to death.
If she didn't care about the consequences, she had both the power and the financial means to carry it out.
It was well known that she was the daughter of a chaebol family, after all.
"Lee Min-ho is there too... and Jeong-hwan is there too..."
She had been a little surprised when she heard that Lee Min-ho, whom she had seen a few times when they were young, was friends with Yoo Seong-hwan.
Because she found it fascinating that a quiet kid like Yoo Seong-hwan was close friends with a guy like Lee Min-ho, who loved making friends.
"Still... this time, thanks to Lee Min-ho, we can resolve this quickly."
It wasn't just anything—he had recorded and brought footage of that woman committing the crime.
Evidence she could never deny.
And regarding the previous sexual harassment and assault incident, they said she had reached an amicable settlement with the victims.
But who was Yoo Seong-hwan?
Someone who, despite looking innocent, never agreed to a settlement in one go.
The Director roughly guessed that he was probably doing that on A-ra's advice,
but whenever she recalled that image, she couldn't help but let out a bitter smile.
At that moment, someone knocked on the door of the Director's office.
The seated Director composed herself, stood up, and signaled for them to come in.
"Director?"
"Team Leader, please come in."
The head of the legal team glanced around and tilted her head.
Because she had assumed that the victim, Yoo Seong-hwan, would be there too.
"Where did Seong-hwan go?"
"I told him to go wait at the cafe."
"The cafe? Earlier, Seong-hwan and Lee Min-ho were heading outside..."
"Then they must have gone out together."
She smiled bitterly, thinking of the three who had gone outside despite her telling them to stay at the cafe.
He was so endearing that even though she wanted to scold him, she couldn't—her expression was a mix of finding herself pathetic and several other emotions.
"Anyway, there's something I need to show you."
"I heard you obtained a video."
"Yes, Lee Min-ho filmed it."
She played the video, which had been transferred and saved on the laptop.
In that video, a woman was caught trying to grab and pull the door handle of the Porsche Cayenne,
and attempting to stick something like a needle into the keyhole.
"With this, I think we can lock this in for sure."
"Right? And if we bring in the other witnesses..."
"But what kind of nerve does this person have to do this?"
"She's the eldest daughter of a family with some money."
"Haah... Even though she's in the middle of probation, that's impressive."
Even if her probation were cleared, a prison sentence was already all but certain,
but because she was on probation, she would end up serving the previously given prison term plus additional time in jail.
Yet, for some reason, neither the Team Leader nor the Director felt any sympathy whatsoever.

"Seong-hwan-a~ did you turn on the stream?"
"It's been running since a while ago."
Two days after the day they had been called in by the Director.
A-ra's car had arrived from far-off France.
Since it was a very rare vehicle in the Republic of Korea, relevant newspaper companies and internet news reporters had all turned out in droves to take pictures,
and there were also a ton of creators who had come to watch.
I had tried to assist A-ra, but I was persuaded with the argument that I should ride along too,
so I handed the camera over to the PDs and was walking over to A-ra.
"But hasn't the scale gotten way too big?"
"Mmm... still, they said they wanted to come see, how could I stop them?"
Not just the fan club, but even places like sports car enthusiast cafes had shown up holding banners.
Because, they said, there had never once been a case of publicly unboxing a car like this.
For reference, the place we were standing was a large port in Incheon.
Because we had arranged to take delivery right here as soon as it was offloaded from the ship.
"This is all marketing, too."
Suddenly, the Director appeared beside us.
I had heard she was coming today, but when did she get here?
"Marketing?"
"If a star like A-ra buys a car that's hard to see in Korea, what aspect do you think will draw attention?"
"Hmm... income, or the cars she used to drive before."
What in the world were they marketing with something like that for?
As expected, I just couldn't grasp the entertainment industry business at all.
"Unnie~ when is the car coming in?"
"Huh? The ship already arrived yesterday."
"Huh? I don't see it?"
"The ship is on the other side, and they decided to move only the car to this side."
She stroked my head with eyes that looked like she was looking after her clueless younger brother.
That treatment made my face flush red, and I couldn't help but bow my head.
"A-ra. You shouldn't do that to your husband."
"Do what?"
"Look. Seong-hwan's embarrassed."
The Director smiled slightly wryly, telling her to look at how I was bowing my head deeply.
A-ra seemed flustered, and the sight of her not knowing what to do was so cute.
"Ehyu, A-ra, for someone with 3 years of dating and 1 year of marriage, you've still got a long way to go."
"I know better than you, unnie."
"Heoheo... look at you talking back to your unnie?"
Attacked by the Director, A-ra pouted her lips.
Did she know that the reporters were capturing all of that right now?
"Stop it, both of you. Isn't that the car coming over there?"
"Ah!"
At the place I pointed to, a tow truck carrying a car was approaching.
But rather than a car, a large wooden crate was what was being transported.
"If you're moving it by ship, it has to come inside a box."
"Aha.. so that box is the packaging box."
"You two have a slightly odd way of appreciating things..."
Once I simply accepted that, the Director started to find it strange instead.
"Then what is it?"
"To be precise, that box isn't exactly a packaging box. It wasn't provided by the company; it was sent by the shipping company."
"So it's like a post office box?"
"Oh. Good analogy, post office box."
The Director chuckled, saying it was spot on.
Watching that Director, this time A-ra let out a sigh.
Maybe because it was an expression of looking at a foolish older sister?
Something like lightning also seemed to flash in the Director's eyes.
"Stop fighting, you two. Shouldn't we be opening the car soon?"
"Huh?"
While the two of them were fighting, throwing their energy around, the vehicle crate had already been unloaded,
and the man who had moved it was standing there holding something like a payment receipt.
He seemed to be saying something in French, but I couldn't understand a single word.
A-ra didn't seem to understand either, and the conversation was proceeding through an interpreter who relayed when they spoke in English.
"By the way, how did you receive the training?"
"The training was in English."
"Aha... so English works over there too, I guess."
"The person bringing the car all the way here is from the company, but they probably only know French."
Humming a tune, she finished signing the receipt, and several engineers stepped out of the car.
So this was the after-service they talked about.
The after-service that cost tens of millions of won a year...
How satisfying could that possibly be?
Some conversation continued, and the engineers headed toward the crate containing the car.
In their hands were several keys, keys that looked a bit rough and clunky.
"There's no way... those are the car keys."
"They're keys for the crate and the safety device underneath."
"Director, how do you know that?"
"Because I received my car similarly."
Full of pride, she placed both hands on her hips and thrust her chest forward.
The daughter of a chaebol family bragged in a very cute way.
"What is it?"
"It's nothing. Let's go watch them open it too."
Because if A-ra, the owner of the car, didn't go, they probably wouldn't keep it open indefinitely.
We should hurry over and hold the opening ceremony.
"Seong-hwan-a."
"Yes?"
"Look at this."
As I walked slowly over to A-ra, who had run ahead, she was holding something in her hands.
What's this...?
A figurine?
"It's a figurine that's exactly the same as the model unnie chose."
"Is it like a free gift?"
"Nope? I paid like 3 million won for it!"
Saying that there was no way they'd give something like that for free, she beamed brightly and pulled something out of her pocket.
"Do you know how much this key costs?"
"How much?"
"1.5 million won."
"Wow... so they really don't give you a single thing for free."
At this point, it was more accurate to say that instead of buying a car, she'd bought the car and everything else.
I guess Porsche threw in the key for free.
"And then the manual and the contract are..."
"Is that everything?"
"Yeah. I'll have to read it when I get home."
The heavy paper bag seemed to be all manuals.
Well, she bought a car, so she'd have to do at least that much.
"But since this came from overseas, you can't drive it right away, right?"
"Yeah. We have to do the registration first."
"Is the registration office open today?"
"It is. Unnie went and checked today."
She thumped her chest, saying she had finished preparing everything without missing a single detail.
As expected, A-ra, who prepared perfectly and left no gaps when it came to cars and her hobbies, was different.
"Everyone~ we're about to open it now, are you all ready?"
When A-ra took the microphone and shouted loudly, the fan club, the car club, and the reporters all cheered at once.
Everyone seemed to be finished with their preparations.
"Then I'll open it now~"
A-ra spoke to the interpreter and began speaking in English.
The engineers holding the heavy keys nodded their heads and opened the door.
