The Sanctuary of Knowledge
…looks like they're wearing full-body suits completely parasitized by tentacles, and you can slap those on your superhumans as skins too, so it's hot as hell lmao

By the nature of the Space Kaiju, newbies tended to have their fleets shredded first — so the tip posts leaned far more toward fleet breakdowns than faction overviews.
[Alien concept art]
This is the alien faction people call the Space Elves.
Their gimmick, like every game of this type, is that they pack insane tech but their numbers are tiny as hell.
So this faction never pretends to start as your equal — more like they're graciously bestowing favors on you — which means they're ridiculously picky at first.
But the more quests you clear, the higher their favor climbs, and eventually they dump everything on you.
Kind of like how you'd treat a pet that does cute little tricks?
Anyway, as you're all learning firsthand right now, their ship count is low but their firepower is unhinged.
Roughly higher firepower and defense than equivalent generic ships?
Though the defense is entirely because their shields are broken OP — the actual armor is average or thinner.
Mobility is surprisingly ordinary, but lore-wise they claim rushing around is something only lowly peons do, so whatever.
So how do you fight them?
Unlike the Space Kaiju bastards, if you try to out-micro them, unless you've pulled an S-grade or higher from the gacha, it's meaningless.
Zigzag and you just get hit in a zigzag.
So just slug it out, strip their shields, then smash them from long range with your capital ships.
Boarding Actions are not recommended — their internal troops are about on par with our superhumans.
Get unlucky and even an SSS-grade gets shredded, so it's dangerous, yeah.

Unlike the Space Kaiju posts, the Space Kanf crowd at least produced something resembling comprehensive write-ups — but the trade-off was that the depth of those explanations was, frankly, painfully mediocre.
And finally, for the Earth Federation…
[Earth Federation emblem]
Appearance = you'll know it when you see it
Fleet performance = similar to ours, but some specialized fleets are overall stronger
How to counter = same as fighting pirates — either slap them around at range or close in and force a Boarding Action
Dangerous stuff = anything labeled Federation Main Force. Touch it and you die, so don't touch it

Overly rough explanations that covered only the bare minimum and moved on. Looking at the whole mess, the gallery users could only shake their heads at the veterans responsible.
But whatever the reasons, the fact remained that for newbies who knew absolutely nothing, those posts were genuinely precious tip material. Before long, the newbies were scraping every last tip post together, determined to build a Sanctuary of Knowledge inside the gallery.
Among them, there was also someone trying to fix the explanations.
"Why on earth is everyone's explanation like that?"
"You're telling me."
As an administrative specialist whose very setting as a "secretary" gave her writing and composition skills that put most users to shame, Jessica wore an expression that looked like she was about to suffer a qi deviation just from reading the sloppy tip posts littering the gallery.
If she'd been able to post there herself, I was fairly certain she would have immediately flooded the board with meltdown threads demanding they organize everything properly.
Fortunately, it wasn't long before an "interpretation post" for those bizarre explanations went up on the gallery.
[Cool images of all four factions]
It was so messy I could barely read it, so I just sat down and wrote this out properly.
If you disagree, you're right.
1. Space Kaiju — All-In Melee Meta
└ Most ships have melee weapons; strongest in close combat and Boarding Actions.
└ Long-range firepower is basically nonexistent unless it's a colossal kaiju.
└ When you join the faction, all the "standard" ships commanders produce convert into kaiju ships.
└ Through deals with the Kaiju Queen, you can add biological upgrades to superhumans and ships.
└ You can chimera-fy superhumans into half-human half-kaiju hybrids for power boosts.
└ Clear the quests well and you can recruit the Queen Kaiju herself — then you can run a fleet with no point limit, even if it's small-scale.
2. Aliens — Maneuver Warfare Meta
└ Ships have insane firepower and shields, but without shields their hull tankiness is the worst in the game.
└ Mobility is average — but lore-wise they move slowly on purpose, so their capital ships are actually the fastest among all factions.
└ When you join, you can spend rare resources to produce alien ships.
└ Progressing alien quests unlocks various extra rewards.
└ Superhumans can get psychic traits or equipment enhancements.
└ Overall resource consumption is extreme — expensive, low numbers, covering the gap with raw performance.
3. Earth Federation — Long-Range Mass Meta
└ Ships are genuinely ordinary, but compared to player ships they lean harder into range and firepower overall.
└ Hexagonal all-rounder performance — and because of that, their capital ships battleship-class and above are the strongest of any faction.
└ Joining the faction gives you diverse quests and direct military support.
└ Instead of superhuman or fleet upgrades, they specialize in mass-warfare support: commander productivity boosts, resource gathering efficiency, that kind of thing.
└ Just decently average, yeah. Unless you're in it for the late-game capital ships, it might get a bit boring.
4. Pirates — Mid-Close Range Mass Maneuver Meta
└ Ship performance is the worst — inferior to the other three factions in every category.
└ But they're the cheapest, so mindless spamming works great. Same goes for their capital ships.
└ The mercenaries from the "Mercenary Dispatch Office" you can build at a Lv.5 base are from this faction.
└ When you join, you sometimes get free looted resources, or pirates who lost faction wars drift into your base begging for shelter — free fleet padding.
└ Ship upgrade performance is trash; they're meant to be spammed cheap, so it's about on par with a player's own upgrades.
└ But superhuman enhancement is the best here. It's a every-man-for-himself world, so training your superhumans works way better than anywhere else.
5. Neutral — Chad Meta
Only absolute chads who want zero performance buffs of any kind pick this.
If you're a real man, try it. Yeah.
Of course I'm not doing it. I'm not an idiot.

"That's genuinely packed with info."
"You're telling me. I never expected someone to compress all of that."
At any rate, after reading through that summary compilation…
